The quaternary ammonium salts of the present invention exhibit improved gelling characteristics.
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to an improved archery bow having a greatly enhanced ability to absorb shock, vibration and sound. In order to achieve improved sound and vibration dampening, the bow riser, and optionally the bow limbs are coated with an energy absorbing and/or dampening coating. The coating is permanently attached to the riser and/or the limbs of the bow and greatly reduces undesired vibrations and/or noise generated by and during the archery bows use, without interfering with the performance of the bow. The invention also relates to treestands and archery accessories having a low noise profile.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition of citric acid based emulsifiers comprising polyamides for oilfield drilling applications that exhibit very low fluorescence, and to a process for their preparation.
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a process for the arylation of unsaturated linear fatty acids and/or alkyl esters thereof to their aryl branched counterparts. Said arylation process comprises contacting said unsaturated linear fatty acids and/or alkyl esters thereof and one or more aromatic compounds with at least one metal ion exchanged solid material catalyst. The invention also relates to various derivatives prepared from the aryl branched fatty acids and/or alkyl esters prepared in accordance with the present invention.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an aqueous alkaline composition with good wetting ability, which composition is dilutable with water without exhibiting any phase separation. The composition contains a surface active nonionic alkylene oxide adduct of an alkyl-branched alcohol, with a good wetting ability, a hexyl glycoside and/or an octyliminodipropionate and a further surface active nonionic alkylene oxide adduct having an HLB-value according to Davies of at least 6.4. The Compositions may be used for the cleaning of hard surfaces, in scouring and mercerizing processes and for laundry.
Abstract: According to the invention, a slow setting bitumen-aggregate mix for cold paving is manufactured by a) preparing a cationic oil-in-water emulsion of bitumen in the presence of an emulsifier containing i) a tertiary polyamine selected from the group consisting of a di(C2-C3 alkylene)triamine, a tri(C2-C3 alkylene)tetraamine, a tetra(C2-C3 alkylene)pentaamine, a penta(C2-C3 alkylene)hexaamine, a hexa(C2 C3 alkylene)heptaamine or a mixture thereof, which amine compounds have only tertiary amine groups and contain one or two aliphatic groups with 8-22 carbon atoms, bound to a nitrogen atom, while the remaining nitrogen substituents are methyl groups and ii) an acid present in such an amount that the aqueous emulsion obtains a pH value from 1-6, preferably 1.5-5, and b) mixing the aqueous emulsion obtained with a solid aggregate.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a clear and stable, highly alkaline composition with controlled foaming, containing a high amount of surface active nonionic alkylene oxide adduct and a hexyl glycoside as a hydrotrope. This composition has a very good wetting and cleaning ability and can be used for cleaning of hard surfaces, in a mercerization process and for a cleaning, desizing or scouring process of fibres and fabrics.

Abstract: A water-soluble methyl cellulose ether, having a flocculation point below 100° C., is manufactured by reacting methyl chloride and a cellulose activated by mercerizing the cellulose with aqueous alkali in the presence of a C2-C3 alkyl chloride as a reaction medium at a temperature from 65° C. to 90° C. and at a pressure from 3 to 15 bar. The weight ratio between the cellulose and the C2-C3 alkyl chloride is normally from 1:1 to 1:5. The use of the reaction medium makes it possible to produce at a low pressure methyl cellulose ether at a good rate.
