Abstract: A pressure relief valve for use on a dampener of a motorcycle suspension system is disclosed. The pressure relief valve includes a hollow body having an aperture that extends through the body, a valve cap that includes a recessed area with an entrance of a first diameter and a mid-portion of a second diameter, the second diameter being larger than the first diameter. Attached to the valve cap is a connecting shaft that is surrounded by a spring that urges the valve cap together with the connecting shaft from a second position where a pair of seals are formed, one a seal is formed between the valve cap and the hollow body and the other seal between the connecting shaft and the aperture in the hollow body, and to a first position where both seals are opened, so that when the valve cap is in the first position the enlarged portion of the connecting shaft creates a flow-path into the aperture through the hollow body.

Abstract: A puzzle that provides for rearranging different pieces to form a pattern formed from the pieces is disclosed. The puzzle includes at least one generally trilateral piece having three sides, and at least one generally quadrilateral piece. At least two of the sides of the quadrilateral piece have been adapted for engaging the friction enhancing surface on the trilateral piece, so that by surrounding the fixed hub with the trilateral pieces that are separated by the quadrilateral pieces, a continuous round gear surface is formed, that can be used to rotate the trilateral and the quadrilateral pieces together.

Abstract: A valve system for a combustion engine that includes at least one combustion chamber is disclosed. The combustion chamber includes an intake port and an exhaust port. The valve system includes cylindrical valve shaft, the cylindrical valve shaft having a cylindrical surface, a central axis along the cylindrical valve shaft and containing at least two recessed areas, the recessed areas being at one hundred eighty degrees to one another along the axis of the valve shaft, the recessed areas extending approximately ninety degrees about the axis and along the cylindrical surface, or about 25 percent of the surface.

Abstract: A soft toy that incorporates pacifiers into the shape of the toy. The toy includes a body made from a pair of planar sheets of a flexible material, the planar sheets having a perimeter that extends along an edge, and a soft, flexible filling. the filling being generally in the shape of the perimeter of the planar sheets. The sheets are connected to one another by way of a seam along a plane to form an enclosed space that covers the filling and results in the edges of the planar sheets are contained within the enclosed space. The connected sheets will create at least one area where a pair of sections of the seam converge towards one another at an angle of from 20 to 40 degrees, but preferably at an angle of about 25 to about 35 degrees. This connection will create an integral pacifier from the material of the toy. The pacifier portion will be nearly conical in shape.

Abstract: A method for creating a hand colorable panel with a set of indicia for guiding the user in coloring to create the image. The method includes providing an image in digital form into a memory in a programmable computer, assigning pixel locations to the image, assigning color or shade palette values to the pixel locations, and printing, under the control of the programmable computer, indicia representing the color or shade palette values on a panel, so that a user colors over the indicia, using colors assigned to the indicia to create a hand-colored image on the panel.

The apertures have been adapted for supporting the wine bottles in a cantilevered manner from the rack. The first substantially rigid wall is attached to the second substantially rigid wall, so that the first substantially rigid wall and the second substantially rigid wall are at an obtuse angle to one another.

Abstract: A fishing device for use by a person from a fishing location, such as the shore of a lake or river, or the side of a boat or dock is disclosed. The fishing device includes a gliding device having a body having aerodynamic surfaces for lifting the body when tossed by the person, and a tethering connector for tethering the device to the fishing location.

Abstract: A truck bed partitioning and extension device for use on a bed of a pickup truck is disclosed. The truck bed partitioning and extension device includes a transverse panel having a pair of ends and a pair of side panels. At least one of the side panels is attached to the ends of the transverse panel through a double hinge. The double hinge allows folding along a pair of generally parallel axes that allow the pivoting of the side panel along a first axis that allows the side panel to pivot to a position next to the transverse panel and pivoting of the side panel about a second axis that positions the side panel at a distance from the transverse panel.

Abstract: A golf club head that includes several slotted apertures that extend through the body of the club head, the slotted apertures being defined by several generally parallel, spaced-apart elongated spring members, the spring members can be used to create a lower stiffness at their mid-section rather than their ends.

Abstract: A rotary latch mechanism that includes at least one support plate that pivotally supports both a latch fork and a lock cam is disclosed. The lock cam is movable from a first position where the lock cam prevents rotation of the latch fork to a second position where the lock cam does not interfere with the movement of the latch fork. A spring is attached to the latch fork and the lock cam and extends between the latch fork and the lock cam, so that the spring biases the lock cam towards the first position while biasing the latch fork to a release position.

Abstract: A vise and base system is disclosed. The vise includes a stationary jaw, a frame with a frame perimeter wall and a moveable jaw, the stationary jaw being fixed to the frame, and the moveable jaw that is movable along the frame. The vise cooperates with a hollow base that includes a first recessed area that is adapted for mating with the frame perimeter wall and a second recessed area that is adapted for mating with the stationary jaw. The base also includes a base panel that is attached to the base perimeter wall and a layer of flexible high friction material that is attached to the base panel, such that the base can support the vise in a generally horizontal position and in a generally vertical position.

The traction device includes a rigid vertical support member that has a connector for engaging a support surface. A neck cradle having a pair of rigid spaced apart arms adapted for engaging the scull at a location below the occipital bone is mounted from the rigid vertical member to allow a person to use his weight against the cradle to impose a tension force on the person's neck.

The system cooperates with carriage that includes a support rod having a discontinuity at a lower end. The system uses bracket that is adapted for mounting along the upper edge of the door, and an engagement bar that is adapted for engaging the discontinuity on the support rod, so that the door is suspended from the track through the carriage by inserting the discontinuity through the bracket and engaging the discontinuity with the engagement bar, trapping the lower end of the support rod through the aperture in the bracket.

Abstract: A system for using an image of the Sun for detecting objects traveling through Earth's atmosphere is disclosed. The system includes a receiver for collecting incident sunlight (solar energy) and a light sensitive device that produces a signal in response to exposure to light. A signal processor that is coupled to the light sensitive device, the signal processor sensing the collected incident sunlight and is programmed for providing an output signal corresponding to provide a detection signal in response to a shadow that moves across the light sensitive device.

Abstract: A system for forming a retractable cargo support for use over the bed of a truck is disclosed. The system includes a slide system with an elongated slide base having an upwardly opening U-shaped cross-section, an intermediate slide that is slidably mounted within the U-shaped cross-section of the slide base has an upwardly opening U-shaped cross section, and a top slide. The top slide includes a downwardly opening U-shaped cross-section, and is adapted for nesting in a sliding relationship within the U-shaped cross-section of the intermediate slide. A load surface is attached to the top slide, so that mounting the slide base to the bed of the truck allows the load surface to be slid in and out of the bed of the truck.
