Abstract: A device and a method for determining the current position of a rotor, particularly the angle of rotation of the rotor, of an electric motor, wherein said device determines the current position of the rotor using the fluctuations of the armature current or the armature voltage of the electric motor. The fluctuations of the armature current or the armature voltage are separated from the fluctuations of the motor current or the motor voltage with the help of an amplifier unit dependent on a controllable offset value. The offset value is changed according to the motor current or the motor voltage. By virtue of the device and the method, the fluctuations of the armature current or the armature voltage can be separated from the fluctuations of the motor current or the motor voltage over the full measurement range of the motor current or the motor voltage.

Abstract: A system for providing tamper detection includes a plurality of circuit cards in a housing. The housing includes magnetic sensors and magnetic signal generators that form multiple pairs of a magnetic sensor (S) coupled to a magnetic signal generator (M). Each pair of S and M forms a tamper detector for a respective circuit card in the housing. A tamper detector of one circuit card notifies another tamper detector of another circuit card of the occurrence of a tamper event. As an example, a first tamper detector of a first circuit card notifies a second circuit card of the occurrence of a tamper event, and a second tamper detector of the second circuit card notifies a third circuit card of the occurrence of the tamper event. The first tamper detector is configured to sense a change in a magnetic field surrounding the first circuit card and generate a magnetic pulse for transmission to the second circuit card.

Abstract: This invention relates to a combination of erythropoietin glycoisoforms, wherein such glycoisoforms may include a quantity of sialic acid ranging from 4 to 10 molecules of sialic acid per molecule of erythropoietin. The combination of glycoisoforms can be used for the treatment or prevention of sepsis, and used to prepare a pharmaceutical composition including such combination. The invention also encompasses a cell line producing a combination of erythropoietin glycoisoforms, procedures to obtain the cell line, a procedure to produce such a combination of glycoisoforms, and methods of treatment and prevention of sepsis.

Abstract: The production equipment of paper-made components for loudspeakers includes a mixing device, a fining device, a paper-making device, and a shape processing device. The mixing device mixes material of a paper-made component for a loudspeaker into liquid to generate mixed liquid. The fining device includes a pressure unit, an orifice, and an inner wall. The pressure unit applies pressure on the mixed liquid to cause the mixed liquid to pass through the orifice, and the mixed liquid collides against the inner wall to cause the fining device to generate fined material. The paper-making device paper-makes the fined material to generate a paper-made component. The shape processing device processes the shape of the paper-made component. This structure provides production equipment of the paper-made components for loudspeakers, which prepares material for paper-making in a short time and reduces producing time.

Abstract: A device is arranged to carry out a method for identifying traffic-relevant information in a moving vehicle, wherein image data of a visual sensor and map data of a navigation system are each pre-evaluated for the identification and the results of the pre-evaluation are combined and interpreted. The image and map data is scanned for traffic-relevant information and compacted to relevant image and map data in a first and second scene interpretations, and the relevant image and map data is supplied to a rule engine and to a state machine for interpreting the image and map data. The rule engine evaluates the image and map data and transmits an action to be executed to the state machine which carries out a transition in its state space including pre-defined states and outputs information which is assigned to the state or to the transition.

A receiver receives a returned online signal and first and second returned offline signals from the target. A processor is provided for determining (a) a first ratio based on the returned online signal and first offline signal, and (b) a second ratio based on the returned online signal and second offline signal. A filter is also provided for correlating the first ratio with the second ratio for determining whether the returned online, first offline and/or second offline signals are useable. The returned online, first offline and second offline signals are used to compute first and second concentration path lengths (CPLs) of a column of air between a target and the remote sensing platform.

Abstract: The present invention provides compositions containing clopidogrel, present as a free base or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and sulfoalkyl ether cyclodextrin (SAE-CD). The compositions can be liquid, suspension or solid compositions. They can be adapted for oral, peroral or parenteral administration. The SAE-CD serves to aid in dissolution and stabilization of the clopidogrel in aqueous media. The stability of clopidogrel against hydrolytic degradation, thermal degradation, and photolytic degradation are improved. SAE-CD provides improved results over other cyclodextrin derivatives. The SAE-CD-containing composition of clopidogrel can be provided in liquid form, solid form or as a reconstitutable powder. Both ready-to-use and concentrated liquid compositions can be prepared. The liquid composition is optionally available as a clear solution.
