    Abstract: There is disclosed a method for producing an electrical circuit board comprising the steps of selectively treating a portion of a conductive metal sheet in a pattern substantially corresponding to a predetermined printed circuit configuration and in a manner which renders the pattern portion of the sheet essentially adherent to a resin, placing the treated pattern portion of the sheet in direct contact with a layer of resin on the surface of an insulating substrate to form an assembly, uniformly heating the assembly to an elevated temperature to selectively bond the substrate to the treated pattern portion of the sheet, cutting the sheet along the perimeter of the pattern portions and stripping the non-pattern portions of the sheet from the substrate to form a circuit board.

    Abstract: A progressive stage forging machine is provided for forming an article in stages by means of a plurality of dies and cooperating punches, carried on a ram, wherein more than two forging blows are required to complete the forming of the article. The invention particularly provides a forging machine of the three-blow type having three punches and three cooperating dies, wherein two of the dies are carried on a member to permit alternating changes of position of those two dies, thereby eliminating a transfer mechanism between the two dies and achieving a one hundred percent increase over the production rate of presently available forging machines of the three-blow type.

A counter also maybe connected to periodically activate the timer and purge the conduit, whether or not the sensor has detected foreign matter.

    Abstract: There is disclosed a heart rate indicator having electrodes for coupling to the electrical impulses corresponding to each beat of the heart of a living subject, which electrodes are connected to an electronic circuit for producing a burst of alternating electronic signal in response to each electrical impulse produced at each heart beat. The electronic circuit in turn is connected to a detector circuit for detecting the peak amplitude of each burst of alternating signal and to produce an electrical pulse related in time thereto, the detector circuit in turn being connected to a microcomputer which measures the time between pulses and selectively converts the measured times into a number representing heart beat rate, the microcomputer being in turn connected to a display for displaying the number representing heart beat rate.

All leading zeros of the display are blanked to conserve power. A warning alarm may be activated at any point in any count. The two least significant digits may be blanked when not required to further conserve power.

    Abstract: There is disclosed an adjustable fluid flow restrictor for controlling the rate of fluid flow into a conduit, the restrictor having a body which seals the central opening of a fluid chamber and through which body there is a central opening having a cylinder section and a truncated cone section the cylinder section having a set-screw engaged therein, the threads thereof forming spiral grooves through which fluid maybe conducted at a rate controlled by positioning the end of the set-screw adjacent the walls of the truncated cone section to obstruct and adjustably close the openings into the spiral grooves thereby restricting the rate of fluid flow. An alternate form of the restrictor employs a ball-valve between the set-screw and the truncated cone section, the space between the ball-valve and the walls of the truncated cone section being adjusted by the set-screw to restrict the flow of fluid.
