Abstract: A bubble machine has a housing, a bubble generator positioned adjacent the front opening of the housing, a fan positioned inside the housing, and a motor positioned inside the housing and operatively coupled to the fan and the bubble generator. Actuation of the motor causes the fan and the bubble generator to be simultaneously actuated.
Abstract: A drawing control method is used for producing a label pattern on a label side of an optical disc. The optical disc is first loaded into an optical disc drive with the label side facing to an optical pickup head of the optical disc drive. The optical pickup head is controlled to move along a seeking direction from a first track to a second track in a long seeking operation; and then controlled to move along another seeking direction opposite to the seeking direction from the second track to a preset track range between lower track and an upper track. The optical pickup head then draws a label pattern on the label side of the optical disc in the preset track range.
Abstract: A cutting board assembly has a housing that has a plurality of side walls, a top wall and bottom wall that together define an internal storage space. The top wall has a cutting surface, and the bottom wall has at least one vent opening. A plurality of cutting sheets are stored inside the storage space.
Abstract: An apparatus and method of delivering bubble solution to a bubble solution dipping container are disclosed. The apparatus has a housing, a dipping chamber associated with the housing, a source of bubble solution and a tube coupling the source of bubble solution with the dipping chamber. The tube has one end positioned inside the dipping chamber and another end coupled to the source of the bubble solution. A blocking ceiling can be positioned in the dipping chamber over the end of the tube so as to deflect bubble solution ejected from the end of the tube into the dipping chamber.
Abstract: A method for delivering ultrasound energy to a patient's intracranial space involves forming at least one hole in the patient's skull, advancing at least one ultrasound delivery device at least partway through the hole(s), and transmitting ultrasound energy from the ultrasound delivery device(s). According to various embodiments, ultrasound delivery devices may be advanced into the epidural space, one or both ventricles and/or an intracerebral space of the patient's brain. In alternative embodiments, one or multiple holes may be formed in the skull, and any number of ultrasound delivery devices may be used. Intracranial ultrasound delivery may be used in diagnostic or therapeutic treatment of ischemic stroke, head trauma, atherosclerosis, perfusion disorders and other acute or chronic neurological conditions.
Abstract: An assembly includes a first panel and a second panel. Each panel has a foldable frame member having a folded and an unfolded orientation, with a fabric material covering selected portions of the respective frame member to form the respective panel when the respective frame member is in the unfolded orientation. A connection system is provided to removably connect the first and second panels.
Abstract: A collapsible structure has first and second panels, each panel comprising a top side, a foldable frame member having a folded and an unfolded orientation, and a fabric covering portions each frame member to form the panel for each frame member when the frame member is in the unfolded orientation. The panels are hingedly connected to each other along their top edges. An image is provided on the fabric of at least one of the panels, and a weight is coupled to the first panel.
Abstract: Structures are provided that have an enclosed interior space that can be used to hold and contain water or other matter. The interior space is defined by an enclosing wall and a base that are both waterproof to prevent leakage of the water or matter contained in the interior space. None, one or more frame members can be provided as part of the enclosing wall and the base, or a frame member can be provided as part of a rim member. The frame members can be foldable to allow the resulting structure to be twisted and folded to reduce the overall size of the structure.
Abstract: Collapsible structures are disclosed having a central panel, a first support panel disengageably connected to the left side of the central panel, and a second support panel disengageably connected to the right side of the central panel. Each of the central panel and support panels includes a foldable frame member having a folded and an unfolded orientation, and a fabric material substantially covering the frame member.
Abstract: A prosthesis for implantation into a human body is made by a method that includes the steps of providing a natural animal ligament or tendon that has a substrate, crosslinking and fixing the substrate, minimizing the antigens from the substrate, tanning the substrate to improve its mechanical properties, and coupling an active layer to the substrate.
Abstract: Collapsible structures include at least first and second panels, each panel having a foldable frame member that has a folded and an unfolded orientation, and a material covering portions of the frame member when the frame member is in the unfolded orientation. The first panel has a first retaining mechanism that defines an adjustment space, and the second panel has a second retaining mechanism that is movably received inside the adjustment space of the first retaining mechanism to couple the second panel to the first panel. The second retaining mechanism is movable within the adjustment space to allow the relative positions of the first and second panels to be adjusted. Other collapsible structures include at least first and second panels, each panel having a foldable frame member that has a folded and an unfolded orientation, and a material covering portions of the frame member when the frame member is in the unfolded orientation.
Abstract: An improved pool vacuum includes a filter cone and poppet valve combination which enables quick drainage of water which has passed through and been cleaned by the cleaner's filter. A charging circuit is provided with isolation so that the pool vacuum can be used in an electrolytic environment without battery drainage. A combination charger and hang bracket enables the pool vacuum to be stored in a vertical position to both drain and charge simultaneously. An interstitial open exhaust gap between a rear body and nose-cone shaped front section provides a low pressure drop free exhaust area for an impeller. An optionally obstructed bottom gap portion helps to produce a net downward thrust to assist in using the vacuum in deep pools from a long pole structure.

Abstract: An apparatus has a collapsible base that assumes a deployed position and a collapsed position where the base has a smaller size than in the deployed configuration. A surface is removably attached to the base. The base includes a frame system that includes a plurality of struts that are hingedly connected to each other. The surface can be used as a sleeping surface, a table top, a game surface, or for other similar purposes.
Abstract: A system includes a glove and a plurality of inserts, with each insert having a hand section and a border section. The user's hand is inserted into the interior of a first of the plurality of inserts, and then the hand section of the first insert is inserted inside the interior of the glove, with the border section of the first insert extending outside the glove. The user can then remove the glove and the first insert, and insert the user's hand into the interior of a second of the plurality of inserts, followed by inserting the hand section of the second insert inside the interior of the glove, with the border section of the second insert extending outside the glove.

Abstract: A therapeutic device has a first chamber that retains an oxalic ester solution, and a second chamber that retains a hydrogen peroxide and fluorescer solution. The therapeutic device is activated by causing the oxalic ester solution to mix with the hydrogen peroxide and fluorescer solution, which produces chemiluminescent light for treating a wound.
Abstract: A biological nerve guide for implantation into a human body is made by providing a natural animal tissue membrane, crosslinking and fixing the membrane, minimizing the antigens from the membrane, tanning the membrane, coupling an active layer to an inner surface of the membrane, cutting the membrane into a desired shape and size, positioning the cut membrane onto a rod-shaped mold so that the cut membrane assumes a cylindrical configuration, and attaching a spiral support to the outer surface of the cut membrane.
