  • Patent number: 7007930
Abstract: A carburetor dual fuel feed system has a primary passage for flowing fuel into a venturi of a fuel-and-air mixing passage, and a supplemental channel flowing fuel into a mixing passage upstream region. Sizing of the primary passage and channel with respect to pressure dynamics of each region disassociates low from high power engine fuel calibration. This disassociation ultimately achieves a leaner fuel-and-air mixture flow during low power conditions which reduces carbon monoxide emissions, and achieves a richer mixture flow during high engine power conditions which reduces NOx emissions. During low engine power conditions, substantially all of the fuel which mixes with clean air flowing through the venturi of the mixing passage flows from the primary passage. During high engine power conditions, supplemental fuel flow into the mixing passage is induced by a vacuum created about a nozzle of the channel.

  • Patent number: 7007931
Abstract: A rotary throttle valve carburetor includes an air intake passage and a throttle valve bore formed in a carburetor body, a cam disposed in the throttle valve bore, and a throttle valve disposed in the throttle valve bore so that one end engages the cam and the other end is accessible from outside the throttle valve bore for operable connection to a throttle valve lever. The carburetor may also have a cable holder with a receiving cylinder for an outer tube of a throttle valve lever cable, an insert port for an inner wire of the cable and a slit between the receiving cylinder and insert port. The slit is smaller than an end of the inner wire to prevent that end from passing through the slit. The carburetor may further include a tamper resistant fuel adjustment bolt including an anti-turning body keyed to the carburetor body and splined to the adjustment bolt after calibration of the carburetor to prevent inadvertent rotation, or user tampering with the calibrated setting.

  • Patent number: 7005590
Abstract: The main power service panel is provided with a special sliding gate on the face plate which can be selectively positioned to control the manual throw of adjacent circuit breaker handles for main and auxiliary power inputs fed thereto. The control is such that only one of the two circuit breakers can be conditioned for power transmittal at any one time. Accordingly, primary and auxiliary power supplies can be readily wired to associated main and auxiliary circuit breakers of the main power panel so that distribution circuit breakers of the panel can be energized in the event of failure of one of the power supplies, assuring a supply of power to the discrete distribution circuits. This selected supply to either breaker is accomplished with assurance there will be no back feed of electrical energy to the alternative supply.

  • Patent number: 6994079
Abstract: A compound archery bow includes a handle having at least one projecting limb, and a pulley mounted for rotation on the limb. Bow cable segments extend from the bow pulley, including a bowstring cable segment extending from a bowstring let-out groove on the pulley, a second cable segment extending from second cable let-out on the pulley, and a third cable segment extending from a cable take-up groove on the pulley. Draw of the bowstring cable segment away from the handle withdraws the bowstring cable segment from the let-out groove on the pulley and rotates the pulley around its axis, withdraws the first cable segment from the cable let-out on the pulley, and winds the second cable segment into the cable take-up groove on the pulley. The cable take-up groove is contoured such that the draw force on the bowstring cable segment increases as a function of draw to a first level, and then decreases to a second level less than the first level and at which draw force remains substantially constant.

  • Patent number: 6990970
Abstract: A compound archery bow includes a handle having projecting limbs. A first pulley is mounted for rotation around a first axis on a first of the limbs, and a second pulley is mounted for rotation around a second axis on a second of the limbs. A bow cable arrangement extends between the pulleys, and includes a bowstring cable extending from bowstring let-out grooves in the first and second pulleys so that, as the bowstring cable is drawn away from the handle, the bowstring cable lets out or unwraps from the bowstring grooves and rotates the pulleys around the respective axes. First and second cables extend from cable take-up grooves on the respective pulleys to first and second cable let-out means on the respective opposite pulleys. Thus, as the bowstring cable is drawn away from the handle, the first and second cables are each taken up or wound at one end onto one of the pulleys and let out or unwound at the other end from the other pulley.

  • Patent number: 6981512
Abstract: An integrated in-line tube and check valve assembly fabricated by end-form mandrel expanding an outlet end portion of deformable tube stock, such as metal, of nominal starting diameter, and concurrently end-forming a valve seat on the inside of the expanded tube section where it necks down and integrally joins the upstream nominal diameter portion of the tube. A valve ball and a valve spring are then fitted into the expanded tube section, together with a spring holder if needed. The expanded end portion of the tube is then again deformed by an end-form swaging operation that reduces the diameter of the expanded tube outlet end so as to form a cavity within the tube in which the spring is captured in compression for resiliently biasing the valve ball against the valve seat.
