Abstract: A component assembly includes a first part having a transparent section. The first part defines an outer surface. A second part is fixedly secured to the first part at a portion of the transparent section. The first and second parts create a connecting seam through the portion of the transparent section. An optically covering surface extends between the connecting seam and the outer surface of the first part to cover the connecting seam from view from the outer surface.
Abstract: The invention concerns a headlight adjustment device with at least one light module mounted to pivot in an intermediate part by means of a pivot device, in which the intermediate part is mounted to pivot directly or indirectly in the headlight housing by means of an additional pivot device. For this purpose, at least one pivot device includes a clamping and/or release device. The headlight adjustment device also includes precisely one drive unit that adjusts the light module or light modules relative to the headlight housing. A low-wear, compact headlight adjustment device is developed with the present invention.
Abstract: A pipe clamp for connecting pipe ends together to form a gas tight seal. The clamp includes an open band, tightening mechanism, split sealing sleeve, and inner gasket. The band extends circumferentially from a first end to a second end and has a pair of axial ends. The band includes a radially protruding rib located inwardly of the axial ends, and this rib extends at least part way between the first and second ends. The split sleeve is disposed within the band and is located at least within the rib. The gasket is disposed radially within the sleeve such that it is located at least partially within the rib. Each of the pipe ends can have a protruding bead and the clamp can be placed over the two pipe ends during assembly such that the beads engage the gasket within the center rib region of the band.
Abstract: A dental prosthesis or template (10) simulates the front surfaces of a patient's teeth and is overlayed over a patient's natural teeth (40) to provide an indication of what a dental porcelain overlay may look like once applied to the patient's teeth. The dental template preferably is made from a flexible urethane or sanaprene material to allow the template to be applied against the person's natural teeth and temporarily adhere the template to his teeth provide for the visual demonstration of potential improvement to the patient's smile. The dental template (10) can be adhered to a set gel or registration paste to set the facial plane (75) at which the overlay should lie relative to the tooth plane (73) of the natural teeth (40) to establish a final restoration with an ideal and naturally appearing aesthetic result as it relates to horizontal facial planes and facial appearances.
Abstract: A fiber placement machine includes a movable wrist with a fiber placement head at one end of the wrist. A roller system for delivering fibers to the fiber placement head includes a J-axis roller located spaced from the ends of the wrist, a K-axis roller at the end of the wrist that supports the head, and an A-axis roller at the opposite end of the wrist. The axis of the K-axis rollers swivel depending on the rotation of the head, and the A-axis rollers swivel as a function of the swiveling of the K-axis rollers. As the A-axis rollers swivel, at least one end of the A-axis roller is displaced toward the J-axis roller to maintain a constant path length for the fiber tows between the A-axis roller and the J-axis roller.

Abstract: The frame of a machine tool forms a closed force loop design that surrounds a workzone containing the spindle head. The X, Y, and Z-axis drive systems are all mounted outside of the machine to shield them from contamination and debris generating during the machining process, and for ease of maintenance without having to enter the machine or remove workzone covers to access them. The X and Y-axis drives are mounted on stationary parts of the machine, eliminating the need for flexible cables to power and control these drives and reducing the mass of the moving elements of the machine.
Abstract: A dispensing valve includes an annular ring of relatively rigid molded plastic construction and a flexible resilient valve element integrally molded with the ring. The ring and the valve element have at least one mechanical interlock to secure the valve element to the ring as the valve element is molded onto the ring. In some embodiments of the disclosure, the mechanical interlock includes openings in an inner periphery of the ring and pegs on the outer periphery of the valve element that are molded into the openings as the valve element is molded onto the ring.

Abstract: Light for vehicles, preferably for motor vehicles. The light has a housing having at least a housing front part and a housing rear wall, said housing being provided with at least one lighting source whose rays pass to the outside. In order to design the light such that it can be manufactured easily and economically in any desired conformation, the lighting source is attached to a lighting source carrier whose conformation corresponds at least in part to the inside contour of the light housing. The light is advantageously used for motor vehicles.
Abstract: The invention relates to interior rear view mirrors, in the mirror housing (1) of which sensors are disposed that sit on an electronic board (13). Said rear view mirrors require substantial assembly space such that the assembly position of the sensor is limited. In order not to restrict the assembly position of the sensor, said sensor sits on a sensor board (12) that is separate from the electronic board (13). The two boards (12, 13) are interconnected by means of signals. The sensor board (12) can be embodied in a very compact manner such that the sensor located thereupon can be mounted in any appropriate position within the mirror housing (1). The interior rear view mirror is used for motor vehicles.
Abstract: A hydraulic cylinder has a pressure chamber delimited on one side by a piston accommodated in a longitudinally displaceable manner in a cylinder housing, on the other side by a housing bottom of the cylinder housing, and radially outwards by a circumferential wall of the cylinder housing, wherein the pressure chamber can be acted upon by a pressure medium via a pressure connection provided at the housing bottom in order to displace the piston in the cylinder housing. An insertion part is inserted in the pressure connection and has a channel section which communicates with the pressure connection and, in the installed position of the hydraulic cylinder, extends essentially in the vertical direction and opens into the pressure chamber in the vicinity of the circumferential wall of the cylinder housing. As a result, a hydraulic cylinder is provided which is compact and is designed in a simple manner, and which can be deaerated in a simpler manner compared to the prior art.

Abstract: A folding assembly for a vehicle side mirror that employs specialized ramped détentes. The folding assembly includes a pivot tube and a pivot spring rotatably coupled to a case frame and rigidly coupled to a base frame. The base frame includes a series of ramped détentes that are seated within corresponding recesses in the case frame. The inside angle (?1) of the ramps of the détentes is steeper than the outside angle (?2) of the ramps of the détentes according to a predetermined formula so that when the case frame is rotated relative to the base frame, and the détentes move out of their recesses, the force of the rotation is distributed along the entire length of the ramp to increase the durability performance of the mirror and thus its longevity.
Abstract: A hat rack for a vehicle includes a basic member. The basic member consists of at least one dimensionally stable support, which has mountings for a variety of functional parts. The dimensionally stable support advantageously can be bolted to the body of the vehicle and thereby impart great strength, in particular great torsional strength, to the body in the installation region.
Abstract: A retractable mirror assembly for a vehicle which retracts towards and extends away from a vehicle body wherein the mirror compensates for the change in position so that the same perspective is maintained. The mirror assembly comprises the vehicle body in which a mirror housing that surrounds a mirror backing plate having a mirror glass is retracted and expanded to and from the vehicle body. A second support bracket and a stationary bracket are connected and move in relation to one another in order to rotate the mirror backing plate and mirror so that the mirror maintains the same perspective while the mirror assembly is being retracted and expanded to and from the vehicle body.
