  • Patent number: 7540619
Abstract: An external rearview mirror assembly is fixedly secured to a motor vehicle. The external rearview mirror assembly includes a mounting bracket which is fixedly secured to the motor vehicle. An arm is pivotally secured to the mounting bracket. The arm defines an elongated channel having an upper arm surface, a lower arm surface, and an intermediate arm surface disposed between the upper and lower arm surfaces. A case frame extends between a bracket and a distal end. The case frame defines an elongated channel for receiving the elongated channel therein. A mirror is movably secured to the distal end of the case frame to provide a view rearward of the motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7541706
Abstract: A electric motor and motor housing assembly includes an electric motor body having spaced apart sockets for receiving and frictionally engaging spaced apart electrical power supply terminals. A housing supports the motor. The housing defines an aperture over the sockets. The assembly also includes a connector body. A pair of spaced apart electrical terminals extends outwards from the connector body and is receivable by the sockets. A motor body gripping portion extends from the connector body. The gripping portion mechanically latches to the motor body thereby substantially preventing relative movement between the terminals and the sockets. A pliable member is mounted between the connector body and the housing. The pliable member allows relative movement between the connector body and the housing while the motor moves relative to the housing under varying loads.

  • Patent number: 7534631
Abstract: A reflectometry method and apparatus for gathering reflectance data indicative of one or more characteristics of a semiconductor substance being grown on a substrate within a reaction chamber. The method includes directing light of known characteristics from a light source into the reaction chamber towards the surface of the semiconductor at an acute angle, preferably 46°, and collecting the light reflected from the surface at a detector located on the other side of the chamber. The received light is then converted into electrical signals which are subsequently subjected to computer processing. The reaction chamber can have a rectangular cross-sectional shape with apertures cut in the two vertices of the reaction chamber located above the substance to thereby allow the light to pass into the reaction chamber at the acute angle and out again after having been reflected from the surface of the semiconductor.

  • Patent number: 7534078
Abstract: The frame of a machine tool forms a closed force loop design that surrounds a workzone containing the spindle head. The X and Y-axis drive motors are mounted on stationary elements of the machine. The Y-axis column is fixed, and supports a Z-axis ram. The mounting and positioning of the Z-axis ram minimizes the change in droop and the effects of acceleration forces on the Z-axis structure. The X, Y, and Z-axis drive motors are all mounted outside of the workzone to shield them from contamination and debris generating during the machining process, and for ease of maintenance.

  • Patent number: 7533684
Abstract: A dispensing valve assembly with a housing having a plurality of inlet passageways connectable at a respective upstream end to a respective supply source. Each inlet passageway is in communication with a pressure responsive valve element. The valve element is biased to abut a discharge valve seat in a closed position about an upstream end of an outlet passage. The valve element is moveable to an open position when pressure in its respective inlet passageway exceeds a predetermined value. Each outlet passage is in fluid communication with a common dispensing outlet.

  • Patent number: 7530851
Abstract: A control system for an accessory in a vehicle includes an adapter, a monitoring circuit, and a controller. The adapter couples with a fused power source. The monitoring circuit is coupled to the adapter and the controller is coupled to the adapter and the monitoring circuit. The control system provides a method of powering a vehicle accessory. The method monitors the amount of power drawn by a circuit connected to a power source and determines if the amount of power drawn is less than a threshold. Power is provided to the accessory based on the determination.
