Abstract: A food mixing machine (10) has a rotatable shaft (18) which is attached to the shaft (21) of an agitator (20). The shaft (21) carries a ring (24) and a disk (23), and the ring (24) carries a cloverleaf-shaped chip (25). The chip (25) has opposed, generally flat lobes (27) with the opposed lobes (29) positioned between the lobes (27). The lobes (29) are inclined relative to the lobes (27). Cutout areas (31) are formed between the lobes (27, 29), and as the agitator (20) is being rotated by the shaft (18), a leading edge (32) on the lobes (27, 29) at the cutout areas (31) contacts the food being mixed. The leading edges (32) have a larger radius of curvature than the trailing edges (33) on each lobe (27, 29).

Abstract: A phase-change optical storage medium has a substrate and a recording layer having a plurality of tracks for storing information. A material of which the recording layer is made has been initialized in a crystalline state in which an amplitude of a tracking-detection signal is smaller than a saturation value of the amplitude, the tracking-detection signal being obtained by receiving a reflected beam from the recording layer when the recording layer is irradiated with a laser beam in an off-track state while the optical storage medium is being rotated.
Abstract: A wall panel for use in a flatbed trailer sidewall system includes a frame and a waterproof fabric sheet. The frame may include a bore therein to receive an enlarged edge profile of the fabric sheet. The frame of the wall panel is generally rectangular in shape and consists of a top rail, a bottom rail, and two opposing side rails extending between the top rail and bottom rail. The rails may be secured to one another using one or both of a corner bracket and a threaded insert and threaded fastener assembly.
Abstract: A method of modifying geotechnically unsuitable soils at a site involving soil stabilization treatment and rolling dynamic compaction. A portion of the site is excavated to a predetermined depth x. Both the excavated site and the soil excavated therefrom are subjected to soils stabilization treatments before the treated excavated soils is backfilled in layers and subjected to both standard compaction and rolling dynamic compaction.
Abstract: An electrical adapter with a first pin configuration comprises a body for receiving and supporting a plug with a second pin configuration such that the pins of the plug are in electrical contact to the pins on the body, wherein the body is provided with a moveable member engageable by the plug and disposed to allow the plug to be inserted into the adapter but to restrict the retraction of the plug from the adapter.
Abstract: A chair (10) includes a frame (11) which carries a seat (29). Opposed track assemblies (30) depend downwardly from branches (12, 13) of the frame (11) and slidably carry a drawer (40). The drawer (40) is thereby positioned below the branches (12, 13) and below the seat (29) by a substantial distance so that items in the drawer which extend above the upper surface of the drawer do not engage the seat (25). Branches (14, 15) of the frame (11) may carry a tray (20).

Abstract: A laminate including at least one elastic film having a width and at least one layer of non-woven fabric fixed to the film on at least said width, through interposition of a fixing agent, in particular adhesive, whereby the at least one layer of non-woven fabric has an outer surface at a distance from the film. The outer surface (25) of the at least one layer of non-woven fabric is corrugated in the stretched state of the laminate, having ridge zones (22) and hollow zones (23), whereby fixing agent (20) is provided between the ridge zones and the elastic film.
Abstract: A seal between a base structure and a slide out structure of a recreational vehicle includes a panel section mounted to the base structure, the panel section including a front edge, a rear edge, a first side and a second side. A sealing element extends from the panel section, between the front edge and the rear edge, in a direction from the first side toward the second side of the panel section, the sealing element extending to contact the slide out structure and wipe moisture therefrom upon relative movement of the slide out structure and base structure. A catch flange extends upwardly from the rear edge of the panel section. A first side basin detail extends from the first side of the panel section, and a second side basin detail extends from the second side of the panel section.

Abstract: Exercise apparatus (11) has a platform (12) divided into a back-rest element (18) and a seat portion (19). The back-rest element (18) is pivotably mounted in the platform (12) about a pivot point (21). The platform (12) has legs (13, 14) at each end thereof, each said leg (13, 14) having an upper part (22) and a lower part (23) pivotably connected thereto about a further pivot point (25). By varying the position of the back-rest element (18) relative to the platform (12), and the position of the lower leg portions (23) relative to the upper leg portions (22), the exercise apparatus (11) can be made to assume each of a range of configurations comprising bench, step, intermediate incline, high and low seated incline and chair configurations.
