Abstract: Improved sulfur dye dispersions are obtained by subjecting an aqueous suspension of oxidized sulfur dye particles to membrane separation. The oxidized sulfur dye is obtained by controlled aeration whereby the content of sulfides, polysulfur and inorganic salts is significantly decreased.
Abstract: The invention relates to novel ether sulfates based on a mixture of branched 1-decanols and to their use as surface active agents. The novel ether sulfates are especially useful as the essential surfactant component in shampoo compositions, which compositions exhibit good foaming properties with little or no irritation potential.
Abstract: Process for the fatting and hydrophobizing of tanned leather and pelts, wherein the tanned leather or pelt is fatted with an aqueous dispersion containing a natural optionally chemically modified leather fatting agent and a surface-active phosphoric acid partial ester and optionally a nonionic and/or an anionic carboxy group and/or sulfo group containing surfactant and subsequently treating the fatted leather or pelt in aqueous medium with a plyvalent metal cation; the treated substrates and the dispersions suitable for carrying out the process.
