  • Patent number: 6119785
Abstract: The invention relates to a fire-extinguishing device and a valve block for a fire-extinguishing device. In order to create a fire-extinguishing device which has a short reaction time up to the quenching of sparks, there is provided, in a fire-extinguishing device which has an extinguishant pipe (14) which leads from an extinguishant reservoir to at least one quenching site and there terminates in an extinguishant outlet nozzle (16), an extinguishant container (20) in the region of the extinguishant outlet nozzle (16). From the container extinguishant flows into the extinguishant pipe upon a pressure drop in the extinguishant pipe (14). A valve block proposed according to the invention for a fire-extinguishing device facilitates the fitting of such an extinguishant container.

  • Patent number: 6112627
Abstract: A squaring machine has an elongate housing with a rotatable spindle extending from one end thereof and attached to which is a tool for squaring the end of work piece. At the opposite end of the housing are first and second feed members, the first feed member in the form of a screw which is locked against axial movement within the housing, and the second feed member in the form a nut which is locked against rotation with respect to the housing. The feed nut is rotatably connected to an end of the spindle such that rotation of the feed screw will cause axial movement of the spindle. Also, the machine includes a first and second removable retainers, each of which has a pair of opposing jaws for clamping around a cylindrical work piece, however, the jaws of the first retainer are for grasping a work piece of a different size than the jaws of the second retainer.

  • Patent number: 6082469
Abstract: A doweling hole drilling machine includes a vehicle such as a tractor having a frame pivotally mounted to the side of the tractor. The frame is moveable around an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle from a first horizontal orientation to a second vertical orientation, and the raising or lowering of the frame is powered by hydraulic cylinders. Positioned on the frame are a plurality of parallel mounted spaced drilling machines, each of which is positioned for drilling a hole perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. Each of the drilling machines is mounted on a drive assembly for moving the machine axially to thereby force a drill bit in the machine to drill a hole. The frame is also laterally adjustable in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the tractor and the lateral adjustment is also hydraulically powered.

  • Patent number: 6067753
Abstract: A door controlling device for opening and closing a door in a wall has a first arm, one end of which is mounted to the wall and the other end of which is pivotally attached to the second end of a second arm. The first end of the second arm is pivotally attached to the top of a door and is adapted for rotation about a horizontal axis at the first end thereof. An electric motor attached to the device has a shaft which drives a gear train, and an output shaft of the gear train is connected to the input end of an electrically operated clutch. The output shaft of the clutch is connected to the first end of one of the arms such that upon the simultaneous engagement of the clutch and the energizing of the motor, that arm will be rotated about the horizontal axis at the first end and will cause the door to be opened or closed.
