Abstract: A storm water treatment device that is installed under the grate of new or existing catch basins, and more commonly referred to as an insert. The catch basin decontamination apparatus has a universal housing and support ring that allows one design to fit most applications. Adjustable chains allow for proper position below grate and a semi-flexible molded or rigid deflector directs incoming drain water to the housing. A slip-on filter/absorber cartridge fits over a perforated drain tube, in the center of the housing, allowing the drain water to first pass through the filter/absorber media before exiting through the drain tube and out the bottom of the housing. The filter/absorber cartridge includes a variety of absorber materials that absorb oil and repel water. Activated carbon, microbes and other site specific absorbents can be used in the replaceable slip-on cartridge. A leaf pre-strainer helps prevent leaves and debris from entering the housing.

In some cases the process includes applying lime to control the pH of the moss and thereby constrain development of additional moss and said sodium percarbonate is a solid material.

The device comprises a body (5), coupling means (13) arranged for coupling the object to the body and means (20) for applying a traction force on the object, which is substantially opposite to said retaining force, wherein the body is designed with a contact surface adapted for at least partly being in contact with the object, and the coupling means is arranged to couple the object to the contact surfaces such that said traction force becomes substantially uniformly distributed over the part of the surface of the object that is in contact with the contact surface.

Abstract: Apparatus for cooperation with an associated billiard table which includes first and second laser apparatus for producing respective first and second laser spots, a rack for positioning a plurality of balls confined within said rack. The rack has first and second indicia thereon and a support carrying said first and second laser apparatus in spaced relationship. The support may be dimensioned and configured to permit adjustment thereof to align respectively said first and second laser spots with respectively said first and second indicia when said rack is in a predetermined location on the associated billiard table.

Abstract: A dreadlock grooming apparatus which includes a first elongated open channel, a second elongated open channel, apparatus for registering the first elongated open channel with the second elongated open channel in opposed relationship, and apparatus for maintaining the first and second elongated open channels at a temperature above ambient temperature for a finite time period. In some embodiments the apparatus for registering the first open channel with the second open channel in opposed relationship may include meshing surfaces on the first and second channels. The alloy and the articles of manufacture have having excellent high temperature characteristics and substantial hardenability.

Abstract: The article in accordance with the invention is a corrosion and erosion resistant article having good release characteristics which includes a metal body having a first surface thereon and a base coat adhering to the first surface. The base coat comprises at least one layer of inorganic particulate material bonded to the first surface. A second coat adheres to the base coat. The second coat comprising a cured coating of solid particulate lubricant in a phosphate/chromate metal ion solution. The invention also includes a corrosion and erosion resistant coating having good release characteristics which includes a base coat, the base coat comprising at least one layer of inorganic particulate material bonded to the first surface; and a second coat adhering to the base coat. The second coat comprises a cured coating of solid particulate lubricant in a phosphate/chromate metal ion solution.

In some forms of the invention the apparatus for gripping an associated work surface comprises a generally U-shaped clamp dimensioned and configured for engaging an associated generally horizontal planar work surface. The apparatus for supporting may be a first generally planar member. The generally planar member may have an opening formed therein. A substantial part of the generally U-shaped clamp has a surface area that is less than the area of the opening in the generally planar member. The first generally planar member may include at least one rib formed therein.

Abstract: A method for control of insects on plant tissue which includes applying a solution tht includes hydrogen peroxide to the plant tissue. The hydrogen peroxide solution has a concentration of between 0.05 to 3.00%. In some cases the hydrogen peroxide solution has a concentration of between 0.05 and 1.5%. Some forms of the invention may utilize a hydrogen peroxide solution that further includes an acid selected from the group consisting of acetic acid and phosphoric acid. Various structures are used for applying the hydrogen peroxide solution such as hydraulic spraying, misting, fogging, or injecting the hydrogen peroxide into a commercial cooling system. In some cases the hydrogen peroxide solution is applied to the plant tissue at a variety of stages in the plant production cycle. Other application of the invention include applying misting the hydrogen peroxide solution over terminal stem cuttings until they reach root sufficiency.

Abstract: A door mounted on the edge of a tailgate of a pickup truck that is foldable against the inside surface of the tail gate when the tail gate is vertical or horizontal or is oriented away from the tailgate when the tailgate is horizontal thereby enclosing the bed of the truck when the tailgate is horizontal. The door effectively converts the truck bed from the standard six foot length to the standard eight foot length such as for carrying stack of eight foot panels, without having to tie down the panels, or for carrying loose piles of material. The door panel is detachable when required.

Abstract: A bridge for aiding in setting tile on a surface above a fireplace including a pair of horizontal elongated guide bars and a pair of vertical elongated support bars, each guide bar and support bar having an elongated slot, the guide pair bolted together through slots providing a single guide bar. Each end of the single guide bar is bolted to near an end of a support bar by a fastener through the slots so that the bridge is formed. In use, the bridge is positioned at the entrance to the fireplace with a lower end of each support bar supported on the floor of the fireplace. The single guide bar is positioned along the top edge of the entrance and a first course of files is set against a front surface of a wall above the fireplace with a lower edge of each tile arranged parallel to and along the horizontal edge. A marker clip is snapped onto the guide bar and moved along to position each successively laid tile.

In one embodiment the sections are fixedly mounted on the underside of the chassis of the device and the keys are arranged with half the keys on one section and half the keys are on the other section and positioned such that each key is in a natural position corresponding to the position of the keys when one is typing on a conventional keyboard. In another embodiment, each section is hingeably attached to an edge of the keyboard and the keyboard may be used in one position where the sections extend from the keyboard and face the user an another position where the sections are folded against the backside of the chassis of the device.

Abstract: A cover for shielding an automobile from radiation from the sun comprising a sheet with a flap having one edge secured to the sheet at a location that permits positioning the cover over the roof of the car with the flap extending through a side window into the interor of the car and with the flap against the outside surface of the car. When the car window is rolled up, the edge of the window clamps the cover to the window frame of the car thereby preventing removal of the cover by a thief.

Abstract: A jig for aiding in securing a fascia board on the downwardly extended ends of a row of eaves of a frame of a building being constructed including a U shaped member and an angle bracket with an angle bracket with one leg swivelly attached to an end of one leg of the U shaped member. Two jigs are used for temporarily supporting the board across the ends of the row of eaves permitting that the board be nailed to the ends of the eaves. The jig is preferably made of resiliently flexible polycarbonate so that the jig can be twisted when required to enable aligning of the board in a required direction.
