Abstract: A discharge pump for expelling fluid from a container comprising a pump chamber, aligned plungers disposed in said pump chamber movable in reciprocation therein and in unison and relative to each other to alternately trap a charge of fluid therebetween, isolate the trapped charge from the container and discharge the trapped charge from the container.
Abstract: A bent wire spring unit for interposition between a grid frame and base frame comprising upper and lower attaching elements and intervening spaced, parallel, oppositely-facing supports comprising vertical lengths of wire and at the upper and lower ends of the vertical lengths of wire, V-shaped lengths of wire, the legs of which are connected, respectively, to the vertical lengths of wire and to the attaching elements.
Abstract: A spring module for use in a spring assembly embodying a base frame and a grid frame comprising lower and upper attaching elements for connecting the module to the base frame and grid frame and a plurality of lower and upper symmetrically-disposed, legs yieldable in bending connecting the lower and upper attaching elements.
Abstract: A shelter for interior use within living space, office space or working space defining an enclosure extending from the floor to the ceiling and providing access through a ceiling opening for above-ceiling construction and/or repair while containing debris engendered as a consequence of such activities and/or falling objects.
Abstract: An excavator comprising a beam pivotally supported at its proximal end to the platform of a mobile support for movement about a horizontal axis, telescopically interengaged upper and lower arms at the distal end of the beam, an excavator pivotally mounted to the distal end of the lower arm and hydraulic cylinders coupling the distal end of the lower arm to the distal end of the beam and the excavator to the distal end of the upper arm. The distal end of the lower arm is structured to mount a backhoe or shovel as may be required for a given operation.
Abstract: A hanger for a flexible wall covering in the form of an elongate flexible strip adapted to be attached to a wall adjacent the ceiling, provided with elastically interengageable jaws normally standing apart to admit an edge of the wall covering and thereafter interengageable to anchor the wall covering suspended therefrom in contact with the wall.
Abstract: A toilet system comprising a bowl, a valve for supplying flush water to the bowl, an attrition chamber to which the effluent in the bowl is transferred by a motor-driven discharge pump connected to the attrition chamber for inducting the effluent from the bowl into the attrition chamber and discharging the treated effluent from the attrition chamber, a power-driven hydraulic attrition impeller within the attrition chamber for effecting hydraulic attrition of the solid matter in the effluent while in the attrition chamber, and a control circuit for effecting sequential operation such that discharge and attrition are commenced substantially simultaneously, followed by introduction of flush water, termination of the discharge, termination of the flush water and, finally termination of the attrition.
Abstract: The invention relates to a sanitant arrangement for the application of matter and/or one or more articles to an animal, the arrangement including a member which pierces the skin or hide of an animal. The arrangement further includes a thixotropic sanitant gel, into or through which the member passes before and/or after each use. The invention includes a vaccinator for applying matter such as by injection, and a veterinary appliance for applying identification means to animals. The thixotropic sanitant gel preferably has an oil base, from about 5% to about 9% (W/W) colloidal silicon dioxide and from about 1% to about 10% (W/W) sanitant substance.
