  • Patent number: 4447736
Abstract: A fast rotating ferrite ring engine that is started by an external starting motor generates a medium mechanical power continuously. The rotating ferrite ring engine body is composed of thin circular ferrite rings affixed to a nonmagnetic plate connected to external devices necessary for the inventive operations, a heat portion, a magnetic field generator both of which are located in the same place where the rings are passing through, and a cooling portion through which the ferrite rings also are passing and restoring cyclically the heated portion of the rings to the cool state that is magnetizable. After starting by an external starter motor, the ferrite ring engine is controlled at a constant peripheral velocity V.sub.O by the countertorque of an externally connected electric power generator. In this state, the magnetic energy which enters into the heat portion is made to V.sub.O .multidot.HB.sub.S .multidot.S.multidot.(1/8.pi.).multidot.10.sup.

  • Patent number: 4434198
Abstract: A duplicating stencil is produced by placing an electrostatically-produced image on a substrate in contact with an ink-impervious surface layer of a stencil blank, bending the image to the surface layer by the application of heat and/or pressure and stripping the substrate from the stencil blank to remove the surface layer in the image area. The surface layer may comprise a synthetic resin composition containing a finely dispersed pigment and is attached to the porous base tissue of the stencil blank by an adhesive. Bonding of the image to the surface layer and possibly also fixing of the image to the substrate in the same operation can be effected by means of infra-red heating.

  • Patent number: 4430925
Abstract: A rotatably supported pressure vessel is disclosed for treating product under high pressure. A pressure medium is supplied to the pressure vessel through two separate supply conducts feeding the pressure medium under different pressures. When supplying the pressure medium to the pressure vessel, in a first step the pressure medium is supplied under lower pressure. During this step, the pressure within the pressure vessel is monitored. When a predetermined pressure is reached indicating that the feed opening of the pressure vessel is completely closed by an associated cover, the pressure medium is supplied under high pressure. The pressure medium source may either comprise a high pressure supply and a lower pressure supply, or two separate supply conducts of substantially different cross-sectional areas are provided to provide different pressure differentials.
