  • Patent number: 7644700
Abstract: The fuel injection system has at least two electrically actuated control valves for controlling the fuel injection; the control valves are each connected via electric lines to an electric control unit. In the fuel injection system, terminal elements for connection of the electric lines are provided. For a first of the control valves, a structural element is provided, on which the terminal elements for all the control valves are disposed, and which can be secured to a housing part of the fuel injection system. At least one electric connecting line from the terminal elements to the second control valve disposed inside a housing part of the fuel injection system is integrated with the structural element.

  • Patent number: 7644699
Abstract: A fuel system for an internal combustion engine includes at least one first fuel pump and a pressure region into which the fuel pump pumps and which communicates with an elastic volume reservoir. The elastic volume reservoir has a characteristic pressure/volume curve, which is defined by at least two points. It is proposed that a first point is defined by a first volume at a first pressure that is somewhat greater than a vapor pressure of the fuel at ambient temperature, and that a second point is defined by a second volume and a second pressure in the pressure region that corresponds to a maximum pressure; the difference between the first and second volumes corresponds at least approximately and at least to a value by which the volume of the fuel in the pressure region decreases upon cooling down from a maximum temperature to ambient temperature.

  • Patent number: 7647301
Abstract: An information-provision apparatus that is capable of easily changing the format of display data without the risk due to changes of the program since it is not necessary to change the program. A format-separation unit separates basic format data, to which part information is attached that indicates a starting position and ending position of each structural unit of the format, according to the part information, and stores the format of a format database in a format-memory unit. Next, a format-acquisition unit receives search conditions from an information terminal, and acquires each of the structural units corresponding to those search conditions from the format-memory unit. A display-data-generation unit inputs the data from the search results acquired from the database into the variables of the structural units acquired by the format-acquisition unit and generates display data, and a send unit sends the generated display data to the information terminal.

  • Patent number: 7631435
Abstract: The invention relates generally to plumbing control joints in masonry walls, and apparatus for plumbing a control joint in a brick wall surface. A mounting bracket supports a bracket rod and cylindrical collar which may slide axially along and pivot about the bracket rod. The plumb rod is slidably received in an adjustable holding member. The plumb rod is then secured relative to the holding member. A spirit level is fixed within a circular bore of the holding member, which can be adjusted to the user's desired position. To ensure the plumb rod is perpendicular to level ground, the holding member is pivoted until the spirit level indicates the desired result and the position is secured. A plumb control joint is guaranteed by successively laying the brick layers against the plumb rod in a manner which is typically known in the art.

  • Patent number: 7610677
Abstract: A method for optimizing the friction, wear, and function of an injection-molded throttle valve unit, including a throttle valve housing and a throttle valve that can move in relation to it. The throttle valve housing is injection molded out of a first plastic material inside a first cavity, then transferred to a second cavity. Bearing bushes are inserted into the throttle valve housing to constitute a hard material on hard material friction pairing between the bearing bushes and the throttle valve housing; either the bearing bushes are inserted into the throttle valve housing in a non-rotating fashion and the valve shaft rotates in relation to the bearing bushes or the bearing bushes rotate in relation to the throttle valve housing. The moving throttle valve is injection molded from a second plastic material inside the second cavity. The bearing bushes are preferably manufactured out of a metallic material and remain dimensionally stable when subjected to the injection pressure.

  • Patent number: 7600327
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved quick rewind tape measure having dual modes of manual and power tool assisted operation. A quick rewind tape measure is formed by rotatably placing in an outer case a reel for winding a tape, providing a handle oil the outer side of the case so that the reel can be rotated by the handle to rewind a measuring tape. The handle of the tape measure has dual modes of operation, both manual and power tool assisted. With the power tool assisted mode of operation, the measuring tape can be rewound in a high speed. Consequently, the tape measure has the advantage that an elongate measuring tape having a length of more than 10 m, particularly 50 m to 300 m can be rewound quickly.

  • Patent number: 7594987
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for electroerosive material machining of a workpiece with an elongated tool electrode are described. The tool electrode is guided in an electrode guide, in which an oval void is embodied. The wire segment located in the void is exposed to a magnetic field, as a result of which the wire segment can be deflected laterally. The lateral deflection is converted into an axial motion of the wire segment located in the region of the workpiece, in order to create an optimal work gap between the workpiece and the free end part of the wire segment.

  • Patent number: 7588016
Abstract: The fuel injection apparatus has a high-pressure pump and has a respective injector for each cylinder of the engine, which injector is at least indirectly connected to the high-pressure pump via a hydraulic line. Each injector is connected to the high-pressure pump via a hydraulic line and/or to the injector of another cylinder of the engine. This makes it possible to eliminate the high-pressure accumulator that is usually provided between the high-pressure pump and the injectors.

  • Patent number: 7588128
Abstract: A self-boosting electromagnetic disk brake having an electromechanical actuating device and a mechanical self-boosting device that has a wedge mechanism. A wedge is displaceable parallel to a brake disk and relative to a friction brake lining, and the relative displaceability of the wedge is limited relative to the friction brake lining to one direction, by means of a slaving device. The wedge is decoupled from the friction brake lining in one direction of rotation of the brake disk. As a result, the self-boosting device is operative in only one direction of rotation of the brake disk; in the reverse direction of rotation of the brake disk, the disk brake is neutral in terms of self-help.
