  • Patent number: 5531412
Abstract: A universal camera supporting jib is disclosed to have a tripod, a base horizontally rotatably fixed on the tripod, first arm and a second arm vertically pivotably fixed on the base and respectively define a long and a short portion. A large and a small four-link mechanisms are respectively formed by means of the long and small portion of the first and second arms. A camera is mounted on an end of one link of the large four-link mechanism, wherein the link is parallel to the second arm. A counter balance weight for balancing the weight of the camera is mounted on an end of one link of the small four-link mechanism, wherein the link is also parallel to the second arm. When the position of the camera is changed the position of the counter balance weight is changed accordingly through the cooperative action between the two four-link mechanisms thereby to balance the weight of the camera.

  • Patent number: 5511646
Abstract: A programmable size and price-setting mechanism for use in a vending machine has a plurality of n access doors aligned horizontally across a front of the vending machine, each of which access doors has a locked condition denying access therethrough and an unlocked condition allowing access therethrough, and each of which is selectably activatable between the locked and unlocked condition. There are a plurality of horizontal shelves each of which has a plurality of partitionable areas corresponding in size to a corresponding one of the n access doors, such that each shelf is selectably partitionable into a plurality of up to n product holding areas. A conveyor mechanism is provided for selectably moving each horizontal shelf into a vending position adjacent to the access doors so that each one of the n partitionable areas is adjacent to a corresponding one the n access doors. A sensor detects which of the plurality of shelves is positioned adjacent to the plurality of n access doors.

  • Patent number: 5498707
Abstract: A composition adapted to convert hydrogen sulfide and organic sulfides to nontoxic polymers. The compositions comprise amine resin solutions made by reacting sterically hindered amines such as selected diamines, triamines, amino alcohols, and mixtures thereof, with aldehydes, aldehyde donors, or the reaction products of lower alkanolamines and lower aldehydes. The subject compositions are preferably made by reacting the sterically hindered amines and aldehyde components in about a 1:1 molar ratio at a temperature ranging from about 110.degree. to about 120.degree. F. (about 43.degree. to about 49.degree. C.), using enough of the sterically hindered amine to produce a reaction product having a pH ranging from about 10.5 to about 12. Streams containing hydrogen sulfide or organic sulfides are preferably treated by contacting such streams with from about 2 to about 4 ppm of the amine solution of the invention per ppm of sulfide.
