  • Patent number: 6055429
Abstract: A distributed wireless call processing system includes a plurality of mobile transceiver units each having the capability to simultaneous receive, reprocess and retransmit a plurality of calls to form a plurality of call paths within the network formed by the units. Within each mobile transceiver unit, a multilevel audit buffer is maintained which is used to store identification and power level data in accordance with a vector ring diagram. The first level of each mobile transceiver unit stores data relating to directly reachable transceiver units. Successive levels of each transceiver's audit buffer store data which has been downloaded upon request from the audit buffers of other transceiver units. The multilevel audit buffering provides for establishment of call vectoring paths between a seeking transceiver unit and a desired transceiver unit.

  • Patent number: 6021941
Abstract: A generally rectangular package top defines a planar top surface and a quartet of perpendicular sidewalls joined to enclose the top surface. A package bottom is configured in substantially the same manner as the package top but is slightly smaller and thus insertable within the sidewalls of the package top. The package top and package bottom are inverted to allow the package top to form an upwardly open-faced base receiving the downwardly open package bottom. A plurality of extensions defining substantially planar surfaces support tabs folded downwardly therefrom which are insertable into the spacing between sidewalls of the package top and package bottom to secure the extensions in a cantilevered support.

  • Patent number: 5997784
Abstract: A wood substitute material is formed by mixing a base polymer with wood fiber or wood flour together with a quantity of lignin and thereafter creating a molten material within a compounder and extruder. The molten material is extruded or injection molded to form the desired shape. Prior to extrusion or injection molding, a foaming agent is added to the molten mixture resulting in the creation of a variable density extruded or injection molded article. In the extrusion process, a conventional extrusion die is employed having a die passage which is significantly larger than the desired eventual size of the extruded article. The enlarged extrusion is thereafter cooled and reduced in sized through a series of vacuum sizers and a final water bath prior to cutting. The degree of foaming within the extruded article is controlled by the amount of foaming agent employed.

  • Patent number: 5984760
Abstract: A bottle includes an outer vessel formed of a transparent or clear material and an inner vessel slightly smaller than the outer vessel and received therein to create a space therebetween. A cap is secured to the outer vessel and defines apertures therein. The outer vessel defines a closed upper end having apertures aligned with the cap apertures. A valve body providing check valves operable in opposite directions is coupled to a pair of straws which in turn are directed upwardly through the respective apertures and are joined at a common pump bulb. The pump bulb is formed of a resilient elastic material and cooperates with the check valves to displace liquid from the outer vessel to the inner vessel as the bulb is repeatedly squeezed and released. A doll cooperating with the bottle receives the pump bulb in a mouth opening and provides mouth motion to squeeze and release the pump bulb.

  • Patent number: 5954340
Abstract: A balance member is formed of a plurality of substantially planar rigid trunk elements arranged in a vertical stack and alternately oriented orthogonally to each adjacent trunk element. Each planar trunk element further supports a pair of oppositely positioned substantially horizontal tier members. A chance device and a plurality of tokens are provided to complete the game apparatus. The game is played by operating the chance device at the initiation of each player's turn to designate a particular tier level upon the balance member which the player must place a token successfully without tipping the balance member during each turn. The balance member is supported by a base having a downwardly convex preferably spherical surface which allows the balance member to tip in response to imbalances of token distribution caused by player placement of tokens.

  • Patent number: 5941755
Abstract: A toy producing a jumping or bouncing action includes an outer body depicting a fanciful animal and an interior support structure which includes an elongated body housing having a head portion and supporting a tail portion. A pair of leg units having a corresponding pair of supporting feet are slidable within the body housing and are joined by a transversely extending leg unit bridge. A gear drive unit includes an electric motor and a plurality of drive gears which rotate a gear segment. The gear segment engages a gear rack on the leg unit bridge and is operative when the motor is energized to drive the toy figure toward a squatting position as the leg units are drawn into the body housing. A spring is coupled between the leg unit bridge and the body housing and is stretched as the gear segment rotates lifting the gear rack. When the teeth of the gear segment move out of engagement with the gear rack, the spring produces a thrusting force upon the leg units causing the toy to bounce or jump.
