  • Patent number: 5222510
Abstract: A dental hygiene instrument, called a dental ring flosser, is used to remove dental debris from between the teeth of the user. The dental ring flosser has an aperture sized to firmly and snugly fit around the end of a user's finger, so his or her finger may be solely used during flossing, to manipulate the strand of dental floss secured to the dental ring flosser. The strand of dental floss is adjustably supported on two alike opposing elongated spaced prongs formed integrally with the dental ring flosser. By adjusting the tension in the stand of dental floss, the finger ring size is adjusted so the dental ring flosser fits firmly and snugly about the user's finger.

  • Patent number: 5161815
Abstract: A self aligning trailer hitch, used by a driver alone without creating any personal lifting force, to couple and decouple a towing vehicle and a trailer, has a multiple piece assembly of a socket for securement to a towing vehicle, having a rotatable claw, which has a spherical recessed surface adapted to receive a portion of a lower ball of a vertical dual ball assembly, which is secured to a towed vehicle. Upon hitching the vehicles together, the rotatable claw contacts the lower ball, when this socket is moving horizontally, during movement of a towing vehicle toward the towed vehicle, causing the lower ball to be repositioned upwardly and over center, while being guided in a vertical plane, and then held in the radially upwardly repositioned spherical recessed surface of the rotatable claw. A three dimensional ramp guides the lower ball to fully contact the spherical recessed surface of the rotatable claw.

  • Patent number: 5101932
Abstract: When a piece of an upright 2" by 4" lumber is used as a cross member of a sawhorse, staging, or scaffolding, a drop over hanger is removably lowered down over the upright piece of 2" by 4" lumber. Thereafter, on opposite sides of the 2" by 4" lumber, this drop over hanger positions its integral respective two sets of four originally upstanding spaced top entry projecting slotted tabs, one set being on each side of the 2" by 4" lumber. When a like second drop over hanger, oriented upside down and rotated ninety degrees to the first one, is manipulated to interfit with a set of four originally upstanding spaced top entry projecting slotted tabs, but now facing downwardly, to a like set of the first drop over hanger, then this second drop over hanger is positioned to support another piece of 2" by 4" lumber at right angles to the first piece of 2" by 4" lumber.

  • Patent number: 5090272
Abstract: A hand held insulated wire stripper uses compressed air power, instantaneously, to grip an insulated wire and to cut the insulation thereof. Thereafter, the insulation is stripped from the wire and ejected. The forces created by the compressed air power originate horizontally and then via cam surfaces and levers are redirected vertically to close gripper and cutter subassemblies. Upon release of the compressed air power, the forces of springs return the components to their starting positions. An insulated wire is inserted, then the compressed air power is turned on, and while it is on the gripping, cutting, stripping, ejecting, and withdrawal of the stripped wire is all undertaken.

  • Patent number: 5086878
Abstract: A lubrication system to lubricate tools and workpieces, where a metal part is being formed, to eliminate most of the friction, so little heat will be generated, and therefore coolants will not be required, centers on the modification of an air line lubricator, originally designed for internally lubricating compressed airflow driven pneumatic tools. The modification commences with the installation of an oil and overall pressurized airflow pick up passageway structure being arranged within the housing of the air line lubricator, having a continuous uniform diameter, to direct the oil and overall pressurized airflow from near the bottom of a pre-departure mixing basin, up to the pressurized air exit of the housing, and then through this pressurized air exit of this then modified air line lubricator.

  • Patent number: 5085511
Abstract: Shotgun shell testing apparatus positions a loaded shotgun shell in the path of a light source. An observer, generally a shooter, places his or her supposedly properly loaded shotgun shell in a receiving space of this apparatus and turns on the lighting energy source. By observing the resulting internal derived image of the fiber derivative portions of the shell casing, often observable at the exterior of the apparatus, and comparing this image observed with the likeness of an earlier image reflecting a properly loaded shotgun shell of the specified power charge, a shooter is able to determine if the shotgun shell being tested, via this observation, has been correctly loaded in respect to the positioning of the powder, wad, and shot.
