Abstract: Apparatus and method for creating a preview image of an object is provided. The apparatus includes an object type detecting unit for detecting an object to be previewed for determining whether the type of the object is text, graphics, and image, a color matching unit for converting a color signal of the detected object into an image forming color signal by using a color profile corresponding to the detected object according to the detection result of the object type detecting unit, and a preview image creating unit for creating and displaying a preview image for the object converted into the image forming color signal. Therefore, because the preview image is displayed on a monitor according to the type of object (text, graphics, or image), a user can predict the image forming result more accurately. Further, because the colors of objects can be adjusted, a printout with desired color characteristics can be obtained.

Abstract: A method for initiating uplink signaling proactively by the MBMS UE, comprising steps of: the UE moving to a new cell; listening to information on a MCCH; initiating an uplink signaling according to information on the MCCH; sending a response message to the UE by a RNC, or if no UE moving to the new cell, initiating the uplink signaling proactively by the UE if the information received from the MCCH includes an indication for UE counting; and sending a response message to the UE by the RNC. The UE in URA_PCH mode and IDLE mode can response to the MBMS Notification message sent by the RNC, and can initiate the Cell Update process or the RRC Connection process in order to obtain the MBMS parameters. The RNC sets different contents for the response message according to different reasons of message initiation.

Abstract: An adjustable paper cassette is provided that may be expanded and contracted by sliding movable frames relative to a base frame and then coupling fixing protrusions to desired fixing holes. Therefore, paper sheets having various sizes may be loaded in the paper cassette, and the size of an image forming apparatus with the paper cassette and the packing size of the image forming apparatus may be reduced without limitation on the size of the paper cassette.

Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for setting a printing option using a preview image. Setting the printing option includes an image preview unit displaying a preview image corresponding to printing data and enabling the preview image to be manipulated for setting a printing setting, a control unit controlling printing of the preview image according to the printing setting of the manipulated preview image, and a printing option setting unit setting a printing option, wherein the control unit applies the printing setting of the preview image to the printing option of the printing option setting unit.

Abstract: An automated system and associated methods that can be used to meet government compliance regulations are provided for testing and tracking the administration of Calling Line Identification (CLID) and Calling Party Name Identification (CPNID) information on various telephone lines (traditional circuit-based voice and evolving packet-based voice and data) for telecommunications systems. These systems can include large or small private branch exchange (PBX), key systems and equivalents, or Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Call Management Servers. Capturing and recording CLID and CPNID on dial tone tests for any site location have been automated. Capabilities for recording, alerting, and reporting necessary data for internal and external auditing are provided. Centralizing real-time and historical records on phone line installation and modification activities can be generated and maintained. Verification of valid answer results for consumers' returned calls inbound to site locations can be performed.

Abstract: A display apparatus is provided to operate a light emitting unit with a small number of power drivers. The display apparatus has a plurality of light emitting units, a power driver, whose total provided therein is less than the total of light emitting units, that outputs driving power to the light emitting units. A power switch is switched on and off to supply the driving power to one of the plurality of light emitting units, and a controller controls the power switch to sequentially supply the driving power to the plurality of light emitting units.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of communicating image data to a second communications device from a first communications device while the first communications device is in an image communications mode of operation. The method includes the steps of checking the codecs of the second communications device when receiving an image communication; storing the codecs of the second communications device if the codecs of the first communications device do not match with the codecs of the second communications device; and encoding selected image data using one of the codecs of the second communications device when the encoded selected image data is to be transmitted to the second communications device.

Abstract: An image fixing apparatus includes a heat roller, and plural pressure rollers, which rotationally contact the surface of the heat roller by a compression unit. The plural pressure rollers are provided in such a manner that the compressive forces thereof may be adjusted. With this construction, the fixability of a toner image is improved and crumples, wrinkles, and wrap jam that may be produced when a toner image is fixed are substantially prevented.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus comprises a plurality of data output parts for outputting printing data corresponding to a plurality of colors in synchronization with a reference clock signal. A clock control part controls the reference clock signal to be input to the data output parts, respectively. A control part outputs an initial clock signal forming the basis of the reference clock signal and initial data forming the basis of the printing data to the data output parts, and controls the clock control part to output the reference clock signal to the data output parts when the initial data corresponding to the colors corresponding to the data output parts are output to the data output parts. Accordingly, an image forming apparatus which is capable of reducing power wastefully consumed in a data output part and a control method thereof are provided.

Abstract: A cable broadcast receiving apparatus and composing method thereof are provided where a cable broadcast receiver receives a cable broadcast signal, a Point-of-Deployment (“POD”) cable card processes out-of-band data received from the cable broadcast receiver, an in-band (“INB”) processor processes in-band data received from the cable broadcast receiver, and a controller composes a channel map by comparing channel information included in the out-of-band (“OOB”) data with channel information included in the in-band data. Accordingly, the cable broadcast receiving apparatus and the controlling method thereof are capable of composing a correct channel map based on OOB data as well as INB data. Additionally, time can be saved in composing the channel map by reducing the channel search using OOB data within a certain time.

The earphone includes an electroacoustic transducer for converting an audio signal into sound and a housing for holding the electroacoustic transducer. The housing includes a sound output unit for introducing the sound produced by the electroacoustic transducer into the ear canal of an ear when the housing is placed in the ear. The electroacoustic transducer is oriented so that it the sound in a direction which is transverse to the ear canal of the ear.
