Abstract: A medical tape preparation which comprises a support and, superposed on one side thereof in the following order, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and a release liner. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer can contain a large amount of an oleophilic oily matter. The tape preparation is excellent in adhesion, cohesiveness, and stability even when no crosslinking agent is used. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in the medical tape preparation comprises a blend of two tacky polymers, which are a tacky polymer (A) comprising a copolymer obtained from 2-acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate and other vinyl monomer(s) as constituent ingredients and a tacky polymer (B) comprising a copolymer which is obtained from a C4-10-alkyl(meth)acrylate and other vinyl monomer(s) as constituent ingredients and is different from the tacky polymer (A).

Abstract: A ventilation device for fluid-storing reservoirs includes a connecting part (1) attachable to the opening of the reservoir to form an air- and/or fluid-conducting connection between the inside of the reservoir and the surroundings. This connection is effectively sealed by a labyrinth-like seal of a system of seal passages (53, 59, 69, 73) from the penetration of media such as water and/or cleaning chemicals but is not sealed off from an exchange of air for ventilation. A filter element (61) is placed inside the connection. A portion of the seal passages (59, 69, 73) is formed on a ventilation chamber (41) releasably attachable to the connecting part (1) and having a seat (79) for the filter element provided as a filter leaf (61). The filter leaf (61) forms a partition between two successive seal passages (59 and 69) adjacently extending approximately parallel to one another.

Abstract: An apparatus and method is provided for idle mode screen image presentation device, such as a mobile phone. The screen image presentation apparatus includes a memory for storing a character house including variable and selectable background and function items for executing functions of the mobile phone, a controller for presenting the character house in a given mode, such as an idle mode of the mobile phone, and providing information, when one of the function items is selected, on a function represented by the selected function item, and a display which displays the character house and contents under the control of the controller.

Abstract: A device and method for managing information data in a mobile IP-based mobile telephone. The device and method employ an embedded web server for displaying a homepage of the mobile telephone on a web browser when linked to the mobile telephone through the web browser; and a program of server driven by the embedded web server to generate a command to enable communication between the mobile telephone and a telecommunication system using the web browser and to transmit a message confirming that data updated in the web browser has been updated in the mobile telephone to the web browser. The homepage of the mobile telephone is adapted to display information management menus of the mobile telephone and includes a language pack that stores at least one language so that the information management menus can be displayed in any selected language. The system and method further employ a memory for storing data of the information management menus.

Abstract: The invention relates to metering dispensers for release of a product into a WC bowl of a toilet, comprising a fixing region which is constructed in order to fix the metering dispenser in the region of the toilet, in particular under a WC lid, and a storage container for accommodating the product. Such metering dispensers have the problem that the product can be metered only inaccurately and not very variably. This problem is solved according to the invention in that the storage container is constructed for accommodation of pre-portioned products and a delivery device which is constructed in order to deliver at least one pre-portioned product from the storage container into the WC bowl is provided.

Abstract: The present invention provides a novel compound and antidepressant composition that can be effectively used for improving depressed mood and depressed state, particularly for depressed mood and depressed state in menopausal women. The compound of the present invention is represented by the following formula (1): wherein R1 and R2 are identical or different and represent a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group or an acetyloxy group, and n is an integer of 2 to 7, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or ester thereof. This compound is used as an active ingredient in the antidepressant composition. Examples of the compound of the invention include (2E)-9,10-dihydroxy-2-decenoic acid, (2Z)-9,10-dihydroxy-2-decenoic acid, (2E)-9-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid, and (2E)-7-acetoxy-2-heptenoic acid.

Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for feeding back channel quality information and performing scheduling using the fed-back channel quality information in a wireless communication system based on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA). In the OFDMA wireless communication system, forward performance degradation due to a decrease in an amount of reverse channel quality information is reduced, and also an increase in the reverse load due to channel quality information feedback is suppressed. A base station controls power of a physical channel using information fed back from a mobile station. In a method for feeding back channel quality information from the mobile station, sub-band-by-sub-band channel quality information is measured and channel-by-channel quality information of a number of channels is transmitted in order of sub-bands of better channel quality information. Average channel quality information for a total band is measured and transmitted.
