  • Patent number: 5331283
Abstract: An electrical test buzzer is adapted for insertion into an output receptacle and used to test for the presence of electricity at the output receptacle. The electrical test buzzer includes an audible alarm, a transformer, held in a housing, and a pair of contact prongs. The contact prongs are inserted into a respective output receptacle causing the buzzer to sound a high pitched alarm when electricity is present at the receptacle. When no electricity is present at the receptacle no circuit is formed and the alarm does not sound.

  • Patent number: 5330173
Abstract: A hand scanner support and paper guide apparatus is disclosed for mechanically scanning a thin sheet, e.g. a sheet of paper, using a scanner designed to be hand-held. The apparatus includes a housing which includes a planar upper wall which serves as a flat surface along which the thin sheet is moved. A support assembly is connected to the housing and supports the scanner a spaced distance above the planar upper wall as the thin sheet is moved past the scanner. A guide assembly is connected to the housing and guides the thin sheet in a straight path as the thin sheet is moved along the planar upper wall. A drive assembly is housed within the housing and moved the thin sheet past the scanner. The drive assembly includes a driven, thin-sheet-contacting element such as a cylindrical roller; and a slot, in the planar upper wall, permits the cylindrical roller to contact and move the thin sheet as it lies on the planar upper wall.

  • Patent number: 5328050
Abstract: A new and improved dual nested liquid container includes an outer container assembly which includes an outer vessel and an outer dispensing valve assembly which projects outward from the outer vessel. An inner container assembly is nested within the outer vessel. The inner container assembly includes an inner vessel and an inner dispensing valve assembly which projects outward from both the inner container assembly and the outer vessel. A lid assembly includes an inner lid portion and an outer lid portion. The inner lid portion provides coverage for the inner vessel, and the outer lid portion provides coverage for the outer vessel. The inner lid portion is nested within the outer lid portion. An outer connector assembly is connected between the outer container assembly and the outer lid portion for removably connecting the outer lid portion to the outer container assembly.

  • Patent number: 5322236
Abstract: A holder attached to a base member comprises an upright post and a multiplicity of rod extensions orthogonally supported on the post. A different spool of fishing line is mounted for rotation on each rod extension. Adjustable tensioning means are provided on each rod extension engaging a corresponding spool to vary the tension in the fishing line as the spool is rotated on each rod extension thereby permitting selection of the tension of the fishing line as it is wound from the spool to a fishing reel. Attachment means are provided for rendering the base member stationary on a flat supporting surface. In addition, the base member includes means for applying fish scent to the line as it is withdrawn from a selected spool, and cutting means for severing the fishing line after it is wound from each spool.

  • Patent number: 5320163
Abstract: A new and improved portable, immersible heat exchanger apparatus is provided for immersion into a quantity of material that is to cooled or heated. The apparatus includes a continuous copper tube assembly which is comprised of a straight, horizontal handle portion, a helically coiled immersion portion, and a vertically oriented, hook-shaped hanger portion. The top end of the immersion portion is connected to the handle portion; and the bottom end of the immersion portion is connected to the hanger portion. In use, the immersion portion is immersed in the material that is to undergo heat exchange. Tap water from a faucet is passed through the tube assembly to serve as a medium for heat exchange. The water enters the tube assembly at the handle portion, runs through the handle portion, the immersion portion, and the hanger portion, and exits from the end of the hanger portion. A flexible hose connects the handle portion to the water faucet.
