Abstract: A terminal block includes two or more decks each of which has a clamping spring for receiving an electrical conductor therein. Each of the clamping springs is actuatable from the top portion of the terminal block by means of an actuator tool, and the decks are arranged in the form of a tower such that the clamping springs are equally superposed, lying one above the other. The tower arrangement allows the terminal block to occupy a minimal surface area on a conductor plate or the like.

Abstract: An automobile seat includes seat frame and backrest frame portions, each of which includes a pair of opposite side braces of generally U-shaped configuration which face away from the seating surfaces of their respective side frame and back rest frame portions. The side braces of the side frame and back frame portions define open channel-like areas for accommodating adjusting units of the seat.

Abstract: In an optical switching arrangement comprising a laser, an electrooptical phase modulator formed as a two-arm interferometer, and a second two-arm interferometer as a multistable element, the second interferometer is formed with interferometer arms having optical pathlength differences of the order of magnitude of 10.sup.4 times the wavelength of the light from the laser and has at least one signal output arranged parallel to a further output; the further output is connected to a photodiode the output voltage of which is amplified and then used to control the current supply of the laser. The wavelength of the light emitted by the laser is variable by changing the control voltage of the modulator or the bias voltage of the current supply of the laser so that the output signal alternates between two stable interference signals.

Abstract: A non-spill container for preventing the spilling of liquid therefrom when the container is tipped or turned upside down is disclosed. The non-spill container includes a bottom member and a top member that is releasably mounted on the bottom member, the bottom member including an annular wall portion and an annular flange portion. The top member that is joined to the bottom member also includes an upper annular wall portion to which an upper annular flange section is joined at the lowermost end thereof, the flanges of the top and bottom members being interconnected to releasably interlock the top and bottom members together.

Abstract: A device for relieving tennis elbow and that is mountable on the strings of a sports racquet, the device being defined by an elongated flexible, rubber-like strap having dampening characteristics and that is formed with a plurality of transversely extending external ribs thereon in spaced apart longitudinal relation, the flexible strap being interwoven between adjacent longitudinally extending strings of the racquet, wherein the ribs as formed on the flexible strap define stops for locating the flexible strap in a positive position on the longitudinally extending strings for preventing the lateral shifting of the flexible strap thereon.
