  • Patent number: 6634286
Abstract: An engraving element of an electronic engraving machine for engraving printing cylinders as a shaft oscillating with small rotational angles around the longitudinal axis, a restoring element, a shaft bearing, a damping mechanism, a drive for the shaft, a lever-shaped stylus holder attached to the shaft, and an engraving stylus as a cutting tool. For engraving cups, the engraving stylus executes a stroke motion in the direction of a rotating printing cylinder. The engraving element is arranged with respect to the printing cylinder rotating around the rotational axis such that the shaft of the engraving element proceeds substantially parallel to the rotational axis of the printing cylinder, and the stroke motion of the engraving stylus occurs in a plane oriented perpendicular to the rotational axis of the printing cylinder. As a result, a better geometry of the cups is achieved in the engraving.

  • Patent number: 6634240
Abstract: A zero crossing detector has an analyzer which determines a zero level crossing of a currently input electrical pulse packet and which emits a trigger signal indicative of a determination having been made, and a pre-trigger unit which monitors variations in the amplitude of the current input pulse packet to detect a crossing of a pre-trigger level. The detector further includes a control unit operably connected to the pre-trigger unit which compares the amplitude of the pre-trigger level with any amplitude of a signal derived from the current or a previous input electrical pulse packet, and which automatically controls the amplitude of the pre-trigger level to maintain a working difference therebetween.

  • Patent number: 6629003
Abstract: In a method and system for operating a batch processing machine which produces a product, a recipe is created with a computer for batch processing of the product, the recipe having a plurality of steps. For at least one of the steps the machine is first manually operated and a snap shot is taken of control element operating parameters. The snap shot is then used for assisting in the creation of at least one of the method steps of the recipe. The recipe then is used to automatically process a batch of the product. Also, the batch processing machine can switch between a recipe editing screen and a recipe matrix screen, the recipe matrix screen providing control element indicia on one axis and steps of the process on a perpendicular axis, and wherein at locations of the matrix control element parameter values are displayed. Also for management reporting, a format of a management report can be changed for a given batch after running the batch.

  • Patent number: 6624631
Abstract: In an operating method for a magnetic resonance tomography apparatus a sequence of digital signals is transmitted to the digital-analog converter. An analog signal is emitted from the digital-to-analog converter for each digital signal to a coil system for producing a gradient magnetic field.
