Abstract: The invention provides a method for preparing a discrete event simulation model of a production network including a client and a plurality of servers on a plurality of network tiers connected by a network comprising the steps of executing a business function from the client on the production network, gathering resource data from the plurality of servers, normalizing the resource data, calculating a consumption of resources used by the plurality of servers, estimating a transaction cost associated with the consumption of resources and building a discrete event simulation model from the transaction cost.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method and system for peer-to-peer advertising between mobile communication devices. A subsidy program is set up based on a profile of an advertiser having at least one advertising media. A qualified subscriber is identified for the advertiser based on a profile of a subscriber. One or more advertisers and subsidy programs for the qualified subscriber is selected. In addition, when a communication transmission is received from a source communication device, at least one advertising media is associated with the communication transmission and the communication transmission is transmitted from a source communication device to a destination communication device.

Abstract: The invention disclosed provides a compact hinge capable of a vertical, a horizontal, and an overlay adjustment, comprised of a cup portion and a hinge arm with one end pivotably connected to the cup portion and the other end slideably connected to a fastener plate. The fastener plate further comprises a first semi-planar surface for contact with a cabinet frame and a second semi-planar surface for slideable engagement with the hinge arm to accomplish the horizontal adjustment. The first and second semi-planar surfaces are interconnected by a deformable hinge section that allows for an elastically resilient connection at one end and an adjusting screw at the other end for a horizontally arcing movement relative to each resulting in an overlay adjustment. The fastener plate further comprises an elongated aperture in the first semi-planar surface through which the vertical adjustment is accomplished.

Abstract: An adjustable hinge fixture that includes a base plate for adjustable fixation to an article of furniture, a connecting plate assembly including a generally U-shaped cross-section formed by a top portion and a pair of spaced apart side walls, and an adjustment screw operable to move the connecting plate assembly relative to the base plate about a curved region of the connecting plate assembly. The connecting plate assembly has a projection through a curved region to a lower portion of the projection positioned between the side walls and generally parallel to the top portion. The curved region is elastically deflectable to permit the lower and top portions to move relative to each other. The lower portion is adjustably connected to the base plate.

Abstract: An apparatus and methodology to acquire and organize measured or modeled statistical data into optimal reports with a performance engineering mode of use and a design mode of use. In a performance engineering mode of use, the engineer may select from a set of performance questions, and guided by the apparatus and largely automated, create well-defined answers to the performance questions of interest. A series of template manipulations whereby report objects that are embedded within templates may be defined, reused, modified and improved upon to optimize reports and to aid in a report building process in a design mode of use. Methods are taught for the automatic selection and population of data tables. Column selection and column header information is optimized for relevance to the report design or system question at hand.

Abstract: A client identity verification system and method which includes receiving a spoken voice sample from a client. Identifying the match of the client, verifying client information, changing parameters in a conditional database and communicating alerts based on the results. The method also includes matching the received spoken voice sample against a stored voiceprint and voiceprint template of random phrases. The method then also includes verifying the phone number of the client.
