Abstract: Disclosed is a portable automatic insulin syringe device adapted to enable an injection of liquid medicine for a prolonged time, including a syringe pump having a pump housing, further including a blood sugar measuring unit mounted at one side of the pump housing and adapted to measure a blood sugar level of a user, a control unit for controlling the blood sugar measuring unit and the syringe pump, and a display unit for simultaneously displaying the quantity of insulin dispensed to a user and the blood sugar level measured by the blood sugar measuring unit.

Abstract: An optical system for the polymerization of photosetting compounds or resins is described. The optical system includes a LED mounted on a heat dissipater inside the body of a dental handpiece and an optical fibre or light guide mounted at the top of the handpiece to convey and emit at, its output end, the light emitted by the LED so as to direct it onto the area in which the photosetting compound or resin is to be polymerized. The system also includes an optical element or optical conveyor able to couple the LED with the optical fibre to convey the light beam emitted by the LED toward the input of the optical fibre, said optical element being of such a shape as to minimize dispersion of the light beam emitted by the LED thereby acting as a light beam concentrator.

Abstract: The invention provides a protective collar for use with a full-face crash helmet, particularly for use in motor sports. The collar is at least partially formed from a resilient material that in use extends peripherally entirely around a user's neck. The collar has a recess in which a lower part of the crash helmets is received and secured, and helmet retaining means (e.g loop-pile fastening strips) are provided for retaining the helmet within the recess. The recess has an upwardly facing bottom surface which abuts the lower part of the helmet and a peripherally extending, inwardly facing wall surface which extends upwardly from the bottom surface. The wall surface closely fits against the lower part of the helmet around the periphery of the helmet. The collar is shaped to limit movement, both laterally and in a fore-and-aft direction, of the wearer's head in the event of a violent acceleration or deceleration, such as may occur in an accident.
Abstract: A shift lock apparatus has a shift lever operated selectively in a first and second directions to switch a gear of a vehicle. The change gear is operated based the manual operation of the lever shifted in the first direction. The gear is automatically operated when the lever is shifted in the second direction. A lock member is rotatably supported around an axis extending perpendicular to a plane including lines each extending in the first direction and in the second direction. A plurality of regulating portions are disposed in said lock member. The regulating portion is capable of regulating the shift lever that moves in the first and the second directions.
Abstract: A process for the deposition of transparent and conductive indium-tin oxide (ITO) films with a particularly low resistance of preferably less than 200 ??cm and a small surface roughness of preferably less than 1 nm on a substrate, wherein combined HF/DC sputtering of an indium-tin oxide (ITO) target is employed and wherein the process gas is supplemented by an argon/hydrogen mixture as reaction gas during the sputtering, as well as ITO-films with the above-named characteristics.

Abstract: An apparatus for direct shear stress testing of a sample includes a base plate, a supporting member, a fixing member, and a sliding member. The supporting member includes a supporting plate. The fixing member includes a stationary shear plate having a first receiving hole. The sliding member includes a movable shear plate interposed between and in sliding contact with the supporting plate and the stationary shear plate. The movable shear plate has a second receiving hole. The movable shear plate is slidable relative to the stationary shear plate to align the first and second receiving holes so as to receive the sample therein, and to misalign the first and second receiving holes so as to cause the sample to yield. The direct shear stress of the sample can thus be tested accordingly.
Abstract: A traffic sign device is disclosed. The device includes a post clamp mounted on a post installed on a roadside, a support bar radially coupled to an outer surface of the post clamp to be horizontally positioned, and a sign board coupled to one end of the support bar for exhibiting a desired road sign. The post clamp includes a pair of arched clamping bands hingedly coupled to each other. The support bar includes a socket pipe joined to the post clamp by welding, and a movable pipe slidably inserted into the socket pipe with its one end joined to the sign board. A bolt is fixed to the socket pipe through joint holes formed therein to secure the movable pipe at a desired position. The sign board includes a barrel-shaped band frame having a coupling slot through which the free end of the support bar passes and being fixed therein. Since the joint portion is positioned inside the sign board, coupling part in the sign board is effectively prevented from being exposed.
Abstract: A holder of a vehicle blower motor device includes a holder body for holding a motor, a disk-shaped coupling member, and a cover plate. The holder body, the coupling member, and the cover plate define an air duct. Air is introduced to the interior of the holder body through the air duct form the inlet to cool the motor. A cylindrical blocking wall surrounds the inlet. The blocking wall protrudes from the lower surface of the coupling member, which faces the air duct, toward the interior of the air duct. The blocking wall prevents droplets collected on the inlet from reaching a boundary between the cover plate and the coupling member. As a result, a blower motor device having an improved water resistance.

The stator is fitted in the motor housing and includes an outer core and teeth, which extend in the radial direction of the stator. A radially outward end of each tooth is coupled with the outer core. Each tooth has a predetermined width in the circumferential direction of the stator. The positioning projection is located on the inner circumferential surface of the motor housing. The groove is located on the outer circumferential surface of the outer core. The groove is arranged on a radial line that passes through the center of the width direction of one of the teeth. The positioning projection is fitted in the groove to determine the position of the stator with respect to the motor housing in the circumferential direction.
Abstract: A transmitter has a tire condition sensor, a transmission circuit, a voltage sensor and an electricity control circuit. The tire condition sensor detects the condition of a tire. The voltage sensor detects a voltage of the battery. During a period from when the tire condition sensor detects the condition of the tire to when the transmission circuit starts transmitting the data, the electricity control circuit performs a transmission preparation process to gradually increase electricity supplied to the transmission circuit from a battery, thereby gradually increasing a radio wave output of the transmission circuit. If the value of the voltage detected by the voltage sensor is lowered to a lowest operation voltage of the transmitter during the transmission preparation process, the electricity control circuit limits the supply of electricity to the transmission circuit from the battery.
Abstract: A semiconductor integrated device that resists breakage of an internal wire. An epoxy resin covers a lower surface and side surface of a semiconductor chip. An internal pad connecting an external wire and an internal wire are formed on a silicon oxide film. The internal pad is wider than the internal wire. A portion at which the internal pad and the internal wire are connected to each other is located above the semiconductor chip. The internal pad disperses stress resulting from changes in the volume of the epoxy resin caused by temperature changes. Accordingly, stress does not concentrate in the internal wire.
