  • Patent number: 7322088
Abstract: Tool includes a fixed handle and a movable, lockable handle. A working end of the tool includes an upper jaw and a movable lower jaw. A passage may be provided in one or both of upper and lower jaws. A sealing device may be provided in the upper jaw, the sealing device being disposed adjacent to the passage. Lower jaw may likewise include a passage therein. In use, an elongated object such as a tube may be inserted into the passage in the lower jaw and then into the passage in the upper jaw adjacent the sealing device. When the lower jaw is engaged with the upper jaw, the lower jaw compresses the sealing device and sealingly engages the sealing device, the passage, and the tube disposed therein. In that manner, a seal is achieved. In the case where an opening having a coupling is fluidly connected to the upper jaw, a sealed, fluid connection may be established between the coupling on the upper jaw and the tube engaged by the seal.

  • Patent number: 7322281
Abstract: Overheat prevention device for household bean milk and bean curd makers is disclosed. Such makers include a housing having a cavity to contain water therein, a main body, and a drive motor to rotate a cutting blade on an end of a drive shaft. A heater may be provided which generates heat when electricity is applied to the heater, thus heating an interior of the housing. Overheat prevention device includes a temperature sensing and fusing bar extending to a predetermined length to reach a position around the filter net and has a temperature sensor to detect an internal temperature of the housing, and a thermal fuse to cut off electricity supplied to the heater, when the interior of the housing overheats. Overheat prevention device allows the thermal fuse to accurately detect an internal temperature of the housing, therefore preventing the bean milk and bean curd maker from overheating.

  • Patent number: 7309052
Abstract: The equipment support may include a first support, an actuator arm on the first support, and a second support supporting a piece of equipment. A third support may be provided between the first support and the second support. The first support may be pivotally attached to a fixed point, which may be distant from the use position of the equipment. The second and third support may be rotatably attached to the first support and may be configured for supporting the equipment at a distance from the fixed point. When the equipment support supports a piece of equipment adjacent a bridge, and is pivotably attached to the ground, the user may stand on the ground, and move, pivot, and rotate the supports for moving the equipment from a distant, use position to an adjacent, non-use position above the ground for servicing.

  • Patent number: 7296439
Abstract: The invention relates to jewelry. More particularly, the invention relates to jewelry settings. Even more particularly, the invention relates to jewelry settings for displaying multiple faces or gems in a setting of a piece of jewelry, such as a ring, bracelet, pendant, brooch, necklace, religious icon, watch, earring, pin for clothing, hat pin, and the like. The setting may use a face rotatable about at least one axis and an engagement mechanism. The face may be a two-sided face or two separate faces, one facing outwardly away from the user and being visible, the other one of the faces being movable for facing toward the user and being hidden when the one face is visible.

  • Patent number: 7297613
Abstract: Method of making an integrated passive, such as a high quality decoupling capacitor, includes providing a first temporary support, a silicon capacitor wafer, and providing an oxide layer and a conductive layer on it. Then, a second temporary support, such as a handle wafer, may be attached to the capacitor wafer (i.e., to the oxide layer on it) by an adhesive bond. The capacitor wafer may then be destructively removed. A second conductive layer is then provided on an exposed backside of the oxide layer. The addition of a second electrode on the second conductive layer yields the desired high quality capacitor. Further processing steps, such as solder bumping, may be carried out while the capacitor wafer is still attached to the handle wafer. When the desired processing steps are complete, the handle wafer is removed, and the relatively thin high quality integrated capacitor wafer results.

  • Patent number: 7290924
Abstract: Non-boil boiling point indicator includes a probe housing having inner and outer chambers and a heater located within the inner chamber at a free end of the probe housing. The probe housing has a free end provided with non-restrictive apertures. Similar non-restrictive apertures are located between the inner and outer chambers and from the outer chamber to an outer environment surrounding the probe housing. The temperature of the test fluid is monitored by a temperature monitoring device. As the test fluid is rapidly heated, its temperature quickly rises then flattens out before boiling point. This change is used to extrapolate to the boiling point. Localized steam or vapor bubbles are created next to the heater, which causes the test fluid above the heater to be propelled upwards and overflow through the unrestricted apertures at the top of the inner chamber into the outer chamber.
