Abstract: A cooling system for use with compact PCI circuit cards in a computer, where the system includes an array of removable individual airflow-restricting panels disposed beneath the circuit cards. The panels having airflow characteristics which are matched to the circuit cards disposed immediately above, so as to control the volume of airflow across a particular circuit card, depending upon its individual cooling needs.

Abstract: A hand-held data input system having an input stylus and a data receiving pad is disclosed. The data input system can include a recessed stylus holder. The recessed stylus holder can receive the input stylus such that it does not protrude from the system's housing. The data input system can alternatively include a grip facilitator. The grip facilitator can be located proximate the data receiving pad to make contact with a finger of a hand gripping a side of the hand-held unit. Other embodiments include features such as an active stylus, a radio frequency receiver, input keys, handwriting recognition capability, an indicia reader and a handstrap.

In one embodiment, a GPS receiver and a radio receiver are utilized to control the reception at the location.

Abstract: A hand-held data collection device with a user interface surface that is wider than its handgrip area. Also, a hand-held data collection device with an upwardly facing surface containing a user interface and a side surface containing a plurality of actuators. The data collection device can be held in one hand with a finger reaching the actuators. An opposite side surface can also contain a plurality of actuators. The data collection device can include combinations of a marker beam generator, an indicia reader, a display, a manually actuatable selector, a voice input and a digitizer. The indicia reader can be an optical reader or a radio frequency tag reader. Some of the actuators can have different shapes. The actuators can include an indicia reader actuator or a function selector. The data collection device can collect, for example, handwritten information, including signatures.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for improving rear wheel alignments for motorcycles having a swing arm suspension including a measuring rod for extending between a swing arm bolt or shaft and a rear axle of the motorcycle, a measuring rod having an end thereon for mechanically coupling with the swing arm bolt or shaft or a nut or other device coupled to the swing arm shaft or bolt so that the measuring rod is registered at a predetermined position with respect to the pivot shaft and further including a marker for marking a position along the measuring rod of a predetermined position of the rear axle of the motorcycle.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for milling internal gears and splines using a pair of opposed milling cutters disposed internally in a gear or spline blank. The apparatus generally milling gear teeth on generally opposite sides of the blank with an indexing mechanism for manipulating the orientation of the milling apparatus with respect to the blank. Also disclosed are internal gears having milled teeth which are manufactured using the apparatus and the method.

Abstract: A contaminant flushing machine for removing contaminants from a container, such as an engine transmission or transmission cooler which includes hoses for coupling to the transmission cooler and a pump for circulating fluid through the hoses and the transmission cooler and a fluid filter having a reduced tendency towards causing vaporization of the fluid. Also included in the contaminant flushing machine is an automatic aeration system for injecting air into the circulating fluid at predetermined intervals. Additionally, a reverse flow piping circuit is included to permit automatic and electric manipulation of the flow direction of fluid through said transmission cooler while at the same time not altering the direction of flow of fluid through the pump.

The system has a portable data collection unit which may include an indicia reader, a wireless communication system or a user interface. The data collection unit can be removed from the cart and can remain operational when removed. When attached to the cart, the data collection unit can communicate with an output device contained within the boundaries of the cart. The output device can be a printer. The system can also include a mounting device which removably attaches the data collection unit to the cart. The mounting device can remain attached to the cart after removal of the data collection unit. The system can include an auxiliary device which can be removed from the cart for operation. For example, an auxiliary device can be a printer that can be removed from the cart along with the data collection unit.
