  • Patent number: 6098705
Abstract: A coil type condenser for a refrigerator holds a flow of air which cools the condenser by securing a condenser length enough to radiate heat and simultaneously holding enough pitch. In the coil type condenser, a pipe is wound spirally to face a blowing direction of cool air generated by a cooling fan of the refrigerator. The pipe includes a plurality of coils formed integrally each having upper and lower horizontal portions and left and right vertical sides, each of even numbered coils of the coils having a size different from that of each of odd numbered coils thereof. A support member welded to the pipe supporting the pipe. According to the condenser, since pitches between coils forming the coil type condenser are short, a suitable coil length of the condenser can be maintained in a narrow space. Thus, the coil type condenser can prevent an excessive pressure from generating when a compressor initially operates and can used for a small or medium refrigerator.

  • Patent number: 6096173
Abstract: A method of producing hydrogen cyanide by the gas-phase reaction of methane with ammonia at elevated temperature and an ammonia/methane ratio of 1.001 to 1.1. The conducting of the gaseous reaction mixture through a corona discharge causes the reaction to start at temperatures below C. without the action of a catalyst. This results in considerable savings of the necessary investment expenses as well as of the running costs for energy.

  • Patent number: 6074115
Abstract: In a set of colored pencils, a cut-out is formed in the longitudinal surface of each pencil to expose the lead so that the color or hue of the pencil is immediately identifiable. The pencils are useful as a puzzle type game because they have flat surfaces with markings which, when the pencils are arranged in a determined sequence, collectively form an integral configurative pattern. The integral configurative pattern is formed of a plurality of pattern portions which are the markings on the individual pencils.

  • Patent number: 6066568
Abstract: An electron density at an ECR point, which is spaced from a substrate to be treated and which faces the substrate, is set to be higher than or equal to 0.46 nc (nc: an upper limit side cut-off density of an X wave) and lower than nc. Thus, a high chevron distribution of electron density is formed in end portions of a magnetic field forming region, and a distribution of electron density having a lower peak value than those in the end portions is formed in a central portion of the magnetic field forming region. In this case, the periphery of a magnetic field crosses the inner wall of a vacuum chamber once between the ECR point and the substrate, and a space of one fourth or more of the wavelength of the X wave is formed between the periphery of the magnetic field and the inner wall of the vacuum chamber as the magnetic field runs downstream. Thus, it is possible to achieve an inplane uniform treatment when carrying out a treatment, such as a thin film deposition or etching, with ECR plasmas for a wafer.

  • Patent number: 6066059
Abstract: A torque converter, a forward and reverse changeover apparatus including a planetary gear, a reverse brake and a forward clutch, and a lock-up clutch are integrally accommodated in the same torque converter case. Further, the planetary gear, the reverse brake, the forward clutch and the lock-up clutch are arranged on approximately the same plane expanded in the radial direction with respect to a transmission input shaft. Further, a forward clutch piston and a lock-up piston are arranged side by side on the transmission main shaft and a hydraulic chamber for operating the lock-up piston is provided independently from other hydraulic circuits. Thus constituted continuously variable automatic transmission provides a transmission having a short width and a good controllability.

  • Patent number: 6062157
Abstract: A spring apparatus for use with hauling elements such as mooring ropes. The apparatus has a spring element (1) in the shape of a tension screw spring which has an intermediate section having a diameter considerably larger than that of its end sections (3). A certain predetermined maximal tension load, and a certain predetermined maximal stretch of the spring element are positioned at the intermediate portion, which, due to its larger diameter, has a lower spring constant, while the end-sections with their smaller diameters and larger spring constants are not stretched. The apparatus also comprises an attachment element (6) attached to an end section and preferably attachment elements attached to each of the end sections. The attachment elements are designed to hold sections of the hauling elements (10). In addition, the hauling element acts as a stretch limiter which prevents the spring from being deformed by overload.

  • Patent number: 6053983
Abstract: A plurality of projections 21 is disposed on a inner surface of a lid 20 which is detachably attached to a carrier body 10. Each projection 21 has a tapered end part 22 with inclined surfaces 23, 24. The surfaces 23, 24 are in the form of semitransparent mirror. A Light emitting device 47 projects light beam which travels horizontally to the projection 21 from outside of the lid 20. When a wafer is not present in slots 15 of the carrier body, the light beam travels to upper and lower adjacent photoelectric devices 48, 48 via the upper and lower adjacent projections 21. The semitransparent mirror 23, 24 changes the light beam traveling direction. When the wafer is present in the slots 15, the light beam is intercepted by the wafer, and the photoelectric devices 48 does not receive the light beam. In aforementioned manner, whether a wafer is present or not in the slots 15 can be detected.
