Abstract: A method for enhanced oil recovery in an oil-bearing formation having high permeability zones, constituting preferential passages for the injected liquid, involves blocking the preferential passages by injecting into the formation an aqueous solution based on water soluble polymers at a concentration such that the viscosity of the aqueous solution is higher than the viscosity of the oil. Once the blocking step is completed, an aqueous solution is injected having an identical composition to that used in the blocking step, but at a lower polymer concentration.
Abstract: Method and device for reducing signalling loads from a mobile device to a mobile telecommunications network system due to intersystem changes. The network system comprises a first and second radio access technology having a first and second radio access network and a first and second network core operable to page a mobile device via at least one element each of the first and second radio access technology. When idle or inactive state signalling reduction (“ISR”) is activated at the mobile device, the mobile device stores at least one first EPS bearer context and/or at least one first PDP context. After ISR is activated, at least one second EPS bearer context and/or at least one second PDP context is activated between the mobile device and the respective network. The respective network uses the stored at least one first contexts, or the at least one second contexts.
Abstract: The invention relates to a bipolar coagulation instrument having a hollow shaft configured as a suction and/or flushing tube and having two electrodes that are electrically insulated with respect to one another and extend beyond the distal end of the shaft. To provide a bipolar coagulation instrument that is both of simple structure and ensures an effective suction/flushing capacity, it is proposed with the invention that the hollow shaft should consist of two electrically conductive tubes coaxially mounted on one another that are electrically insulated with respect to one another and from the outside, so that the tubes constitute the electrodes.
Abstract: A resector balloon system is disclosed generally comprising a catheter with at least one balloon having an outer wall with a resecting, non-slip surface for resecting unwanted biological material, such as tissues or tumors, and a pump that supplies fluid thereto in pulsed fashion to repeatedly deflate and inflate said balloon. In certain embodiments, the pump includes a processor that controls the pulsed supply of fluid based on an established frequency or change in volume. In some embodiments, the system includes a keyed connector with which the pump identifies the balloon type, and in some cases, the system calculates intra-lumen diameters and densities. In some embodiments, the balloon portion of the catheter includes multiple balloon segments, which in some cases, are inflatable separately from one another.
Abstract: A liquid product dispenser including a container equipped with several independent compartments, each of which is associated with a pump including a body which is blocked, at the bottom, by a suction valve and, at the top, by an applicator and/or an exhaust valve and which contains a piston mechanism cooperating with an elastic return system, characterized in that the pump bodies are solidly attached to one another in the form of a single shrunk-on ring by a linking spacer which also watertightly covers the container compartments.
