Abstract: A wireless sensor network having mobile sensors (64, 65) is provided with a mobile sink (70). To re-position the sink, candidate sink positions are found using information from the sensors. The candidate sink locations are then assessed to give a measure of their suitability to act as the new permanent position. To do this, the sink moves to each of the candidate positions in turn and obtains data and/or signals from the sensors (64, 65) within range to estimate a total throughput expected if the sink is located at that position. The sink then transfers to the most suitable candidate position permanently, until the dynamic repositioning process is triggered again. In this way it is possible to achieve a better performance than if only the center of gravity of the sink range is taken into account to position the sink.

Abstract: A method for maintaining synchronization of a user terminal (UE) in a radio communication system is proposed, wherein resources reserved for transmissions of random access signals are divided into at least one first portion for contention-based communication, and at least one second portion of said resources for contention-free communication, and wherein a user terminal (UE) is assigned at least one resource of the portion assigned to the contention-free communication, for transmitting signals for maintaining synchronization.

Abstract: A multi-view image coding apparatus and method are provided. The multi-view image coding apparatus may extract geometric information from a plurality of cameras, may construct a spatial prediction structure to enable a correlation of each view to be maximum using the geometric information, and thereby may code and transmit a multi-view image.

Abstract: A method, medium, and system for compressing and decoding mesh data in a three-dimensional mesh model is provided. The system for compressing and decoding mesh data in a three-dimensional mesh model includes a mesh data acquisition unit acquiring mesh data from a three-dimensional mesh model, a cluster mesh generation unit generating a plurality of cluster meshes by using the mesh data, and a local quantization unit quantizing geometry information of respective vertexes through application of respective local coordinate systems to the respective cluster meshes and generating quantized data of the respective vertexes included in the respective cluster meshes.

Abstract: After checking a receiving message appearing on an output device, a network administrator inputs an authentication result to a setting terminal using an input device, such as a keyboard. Upon receiving the authentication result from the network administrator, the setting terminal registers, if the received authentication result is permission to access a network device, a MAC address of a traveling employee's terminal that is the sender of the authentication request in the network device as an access permitted terminal. After the registering in the network device is completed, the setting terminal sends the authentication result indicative of permission to access the network device to the employee's terminal, i.e., the sender of the authentication request.

The frame rate improving apparatus determines forward feature point trajectory information through a feature point, and generates a new intermediate frame by performing backward motion estimation through the feature point trajectory information, thereby generating an interpolated image with high quality.

By filtering a baseband signal of an input signal whose frequency is lower than a blocking frequency calculated based on the distance between first and second speakers, delaying the filtered signal for a predetermined time period, combining a signal component of the input signal output from the first speaker and a signal component of the delayed signal output from the first speaker and making the combined signal component correspond to the first speaker, and combining a signal component of the input signal output from the second speaker and a signal component of the delayed signal output from the second speaker and making the combined signal component correspond to the second speaker, deep and rich audio bass can be provided by a simple operation without structural modification of speakers with respect to micro speakers in which audio bass reproduction is not conventionally performed efficiently.

Abstract: A method of location positioning of a Radio Access Point (AP) is provided in an embodiment of the present invention. The method includes: querying the Connectivity Session Location and Repository Function (CLF) according to the IP address of the AP to obtain the Access Line Location Identifier (ALLI) of the AP to access a network. The ALLI is configured to identify the line location of the AP. The location of the AP is determined on the basis of the ALLI. A method of location verification of an AP is provided herein in an embodiment of the present invention. The method includes: the CLF is queried according to the IP address of the AP to obtain the ALLI of the AP; the location of the AP is not changed if the obtained ALLI of the AP is the same as the stored ALLI of the AP. A home register and a system are also provided herein to accurately locate and verify the location of the AP, thus checking the validity of the AP location.

Abstract: A tail-biting decoding method and device are provided, so as to improve accuracy of backtracking state determination and decrease decoding delay. The method includes the following steps. Survivor paths of a training system are acquired. The training system is formed of a first transport block and a second transport block connected in series. The number of the survivor paths passing through each first state of the second transport block is counted. A first state having a maximum number of the survivor paths may be selected as a backtracking state of the second transport block. Backtracking decoding is performed on the second transport block by using the survivor paths on the backtracking state, so as to obtain a decoding result.

Abstract: In an arithmetic circuit, every time a numerical value is stored in a register, a partial solution is predicted on the basis of the numerical value, an intermediate value is generated by a predetermined calculation using one or more predicted partial solutions, an extended sign bit is appended to the intermediate value by sign extension, and the intermediate value to which the extended sign bit is appended is stored in the register. In addition, the solution is generated on the basis of the one or more partial solutions. A value of a sign bit constituting the intermediate value stored in the register is compared with a value of the extended sign bit stored in the register, and an error signal is outputted when the value of the sign bit is different from the value of the extended sign bit.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for detecting a pitch in input voice signals by using a subharmonic-to-harmonic ratio (SHR). The pitch detection method includes performing a Fourier transform on the input voice signals after performing a pre-processing on the input voice signals, performing an interpolation on the transformed voice signals, calculating a normalized local center of gravity (NLCG) on a spectrum of the interpolated voice signals, calculating a cumulated sum of the calculated NLCG, calculating an SHR from the spectrum based on the calculated cumulated sum, and extracting the pitch based on the calculated SHR.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of communication technology, and a de-registration method, a Home NodeB (HNB) and a Home NodeB Gateway (HNB GW) are disclosed. In an embodiment, the present invention provides a de-registration method, comprising: initiating, by an HNB GW, release of pre-registration resources corresponding to user equipment (UE) after the HNB GW receives indication information indicating that the UE moves to another cell from a source HNB. Applying the embodiment of the present invention can release pre-registration resources in time and reduce waste of resources.
