Abstract: A novel watercraft lifting system for raising a watercraft to different positions relative to water and docks at least includes: at least one motorized winch adapted to be coupled via lift cables to a watercraft lift, the watercraft lift adapted to carry the watercraft thereon; a control unit coupled to the motorized winch to control the operation of the motorized winch; a cable tension detector adapted to detect the tension in the lift cables, and coupled to the control unit; and a user control transmitter adapted to transmit user-chosen RF control signals to the control unit. The control unit further at least includes a receiver adapted to receive the RF control signals, and the cable tension detector indicates that a watercraft has reached a buoyant level when the tension in the lift cables fall below a predetermined threshold.
Abstract: A self-contained hitch and control assembly comprising a portable power unit including a gas engine, hydraulic pump and associated conduits and valves. A hitch apparatus includes a frame carrying a compatible hitch and a pair of connecting arms with a third arm above and between the pair of arms. A hydraulic cylinder both raises and lowers the arms and a power takeoff is driven by the power unit in one and opposite directions.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for measuring an item to be cut on a saw. The apparatus includes a backstop attached to a support surface, a first measuring means attached to the backstop for providing a lateral measurement of distance from a cutting means, a second measuring means for providing a measurement beyond a length of the backstop, and a third measuring means attached to the backstop for providing a measurement for vertical adjustment of the second measuring means. In one embodiment, the first and second measuring means are linear measurement scales, such as rulers, and the third measuring means, in yet another embodiment, is a coilable tape measure.
Abstract: A personal optical viewer enables a person to view images of how the person looks wearing an accessory and compare images of how the customer looks wearing different accessories. A seller provides an accessory to a person. A capturing device captures a photograph or a video of the person and stores the image in a memory device. The personal optical viewer displays each image to the person and the person chooses which images to keep, reject, delete, or compare. The personal optical viewer replaces rejected images with other images stored in the memory device, and when the stored images have been exhausted the personal optical viewer automatically enlarges the remaining displayed images.
Abstract: A modular personal carrying system for facilitating the carrying of objects by a user. There may be included a first personal carrying device configured to removably attach to the user. There may also be a second personal carrying device configured to removably attach to the user. Also, there may be a removable container configured to removably attach to the first personal carrying device and to the second personal carrying device and configured to contain an object therein. A first personal carrying device may be a backpack. A second personal carrying device may be a belt. The backpack and the belt may be configured to attach to each other. There may also be a leg belt. Also, there may be a second removable container that may be configured to removably attach to a bottom surface of the removable container and also to a bottom surface of the backpack. The first removable container may be configured to removably attach to the bottom surface of the backpack.
Abstract: A medication access control device having a high-strength, high-impact cover and base that allows manual advancing and actuated dispensing of tablets, capsules, or pills of virtually all sizes from a medication cartridge, having penetrable seals, through a dispensing hole located at the base of the device housing. The medication cartridge rests on a cartridge driver rotatably connected to the bottom half of the device housing. A battery powers a timing device and solenoid to draw a locking lug from steps on the cartridge driver. A spring advances a lug lock to hold the locking lug open until the medication cartridge is rotated. As the medication cartridge is rotated a cartridge device tooth advances a trigger, which releases the locking lug and locks the cartridge driver from rotating. A rewind protection lock prevents the cartridge driver from rotating backwards. A switch resets the timer as the cartridge driver is rotated.
Abstract: A moisture barring device (10), forming a general T-shaped profile, designed for diverting air and ground born water away from, and protection of, a wood member (20), which is a beam or joist of an exterior wood structure. Additionally, there is a top (12), forming a longitudinal relatively horizontal strip with two parallel longitudinal edges. The top including a central strip section, extending along the central region of the top and positioned between the two longitudinal top edges. The top also having a pair of wing strips (32), extending along and coupled to either side of the central strip section respectively along a first wing edge, and each wing strip having a second wing edge that is coextensive with the two respective top edges. The top additionally having a drip edge (18), coupled along the respective second wing edge, forming an angle that is sloped downward with respect to the respective wing strip. The moisture barring device further including a pair of side panel strips (14).
Abstract: A safety outlet cover, comprising a base plate placed adjacent to an outlet, a first shell in contact with the base plate, and including a first cord aperture, a second shell in contact with the base plate, and including a second cord aperture that coordinates with the first cord aperture, and an attachment device passing through the base plate, first shell and second shell attaching the safety outlet cover to an outlet. The safety outlet cover may also include a fastening device securing the first and second shells in a closed position. The attachment device may comprise a screw. The safety outlet may comprise a cover plug covering the cord aperture.
Abstract: There is a gripping section with first and second open ends, a ductile member, such as a strap, forming first and second hoops extending from the first and second open ends. The hoops and wrap and tighten around the object. Ends of the ductile member protrude through a hole in the handle. A fastener receives the ends of the ductile member to allow a user to tighten the hoops. There may be a plurality of ductile members. There may be a slot in the gripping section.
Abstract: A portable trampoline exercise system, including a foldable trampoline with long-lasting rigidity in the frame and a specifically adapted carrying case for transporting the folded trampoline. The trampoline is made foldable by using hinges to connect sections of the frame of the trampoline. The hinges are configured to provide lateral flexibility in the frame, thereby reducing the damage caused by stresses applied to the hinges (and therefore increasing the life of the hinges) when the trampoline is folded.
