  • Patent number: 4428100
Abstract: An anchoring device for a conductor including an elongated main body which has a recess that has a gripping jaw slideably supported therein. A cover having a corresponding recess and a corresponding jaw in the recess. The cover is pivotally supported on the main body so it can be opened for receipt of a conductor and is closed and the jaws released to produce a gripping force on the conductor. The clamping device also has biasing means for biasing the corresponding jaw towards one end of the clamp to produce an initial gripping force on the conductor.

  • Patent number: 4389082
Abstract: This disclosure depicts a novel frictional locking non-rotatable strain relief clamp for securing an electrical conductor which is attached to an electrical plug or socket and for relieving strain on the attachment of the conductor and plug or socket. The strain relief clamp comprises a first clamp section having front and back walls and a curved side wall. The back wall has a radially extending narrow slot centered in the first clamp section. A second clamp section also has front and back walls and a curved side wall. The back wall has a radially extending narrow slot centered in the second clamp section. A means for holding the first clamp section to the second clamp section is provided such that the back wall of the first clamp section aligns with the back wall of the second clamp section. The strain relief clamp further comprises a unitary adapter having two retaining means for slideably engaging the slots in the first and second clamp sections.

  • Patent number: 4361302
Abstract: This disclosure depicts a novel cable clamp for use with a non-metallic electrical outlet box having rectangular apertures in the walls thereof and for securing a non-metallic sheathed electrical cable to the electrical outlet box. The cable clamp comprises a substantially U-shaped base which is slightly larger than the rectangular aperture in the wall of the electrical outlet box and first and second claw members attached on opposite sides of the base for securing the electrical cable after the cable clamp is positioned on the electrical cable and one of the claw members is inserted through the rectangular aperture in the wall of the electrical outlet box. The cable clamp securely holds the cable in position when either pushing or pulling tension is applied to the cable.
