  • Patent number: 4903830
Abstract: A novel tubular chip component for holding a probe for examination having a rectangularly parallelepipedic cross section and made of a metal having a solderable outer surface and a not solderable inner surface is disclosed. At least one side of said outer surface of the metal plate is used for anchoring the chip component and the anchoring side is formed by layering a metal plate thereon. A chip component of the present utility design is advantageous in that it can be detected by means of a light sensing element regardless of the direction of the light shed from a light source, that it can be produced with an enhanced workability, a low profile and a low cost and that the terminal of a probe can be securely held without being affected by the soldering operations that may take place during manufacturing the chip.

  • Patent number: 4903193
Abstract: A runaway detecting system for a CPU which has a resetter circuit started by the ON of a power source ON or the output of the CPU for outputting a reset signal to the system including the CPU, and first and second runaway detecting programs, the first runaway detecting program for incrementally or decrementally counting an error by a periodic timer interrupt and overflowing the timer when the error count coincides with a predetermined value, the second runaway detecting program for processing when a timer of the second runaway detecting program is restarted in a short period and outputting a drive signal of the resetter circuit. Thus, the runaway detecting system can detect the runaway of the CPU in a software to prevent in advance the motor or the circuit from damaging due to the runaway of the CPU.

  • Patent number: 4902860
Abstract: An automatic canceling device for a winker which comprises a container, a winker operation lever rockably held in the container, an engaging unit extensibly or contractibly provided through a compression spring mounted in the lever, a locking cam provided in the container for holding the lever engaged with the engaging unit at neutral, right or left positions, a solenoid energized by an unlock signal, an unlocking member for rotating the lever in the unlocking direction in contact with the second cam unit provided on the lever, and an energizing member engaged with the unlocking member for energizing the locking cam toward its neutral position. Thus, the automatic canceling device can hold the compression spring at a neutral position without fluctuation even if the spring tension of the spring is small, and reduce the size and the cost of the solenoid by reducing the operating force in case of unlocking.

  • Patent number: 4903003
Abstract: A variable resistor with a switch which minimizes appearances of an arc and prevents incomplete contact between contacts of the switch originating from such an arc. The variable resistor with a switch includes a torsion coil spring having one end connected to a movable contact element supported for pivotal motion around a support shaft and the other end connected to a cam member also supported for pivotal motion around the support shaft. When the cam member is pivoted by movement of a slider receiver, a connecting point between the torsion coil spring and the cam member moves across a straight line interconnecting the support shaft and another connecting point between the torsion coil spring and the movable contact element so that a movable contact on the movable contact element is instantaneously brought into or out of contact with a fixed contact to turn the switch on or off irrespective of the speed of movement of the slider receiver.

  • Patent number: 4903047
Abstract: An electrophotographic printer having a photosensitive drum disposed in a body for transferring an electrostatically adhered toner to the lower surface of a sheet, a fixing unit disposed at the downstream side of the photosensitive drum for fixing the toner transferred to the sheet, and a suction conveying mechanism disposed between the photosensitive drum and the fixing unit for conveying the sheet transferred with the toner by the photosensitive drum by sucking the sheet transferred with the toner from above comprising a retaining roller rotatably pressed in contact with the lower surface of the conveyor belt of the suction conveying mechanism. Thus, the printer can positively and stably convey a sheet of all types including an envelope toward the fixing unit when the sheet transferred with a toner image to its lower surface is conveyed while the sheet is sucked from the upper surface.

  • Patent number: 4897513
Abstract: A rotary switch has a synthetic resin substrate on the surface of which a plurality of fixed contacts are arranged in a concentric fashion, and a holder rotatable over the expanse of the substrate, including the fixed contacts. A conductor plate supported to the holder is formed with swelled contacts which act as movable contacts. A rib is positioned so that the conductor plate contacts the rib when the switch is in the off position, thereby lifting the movable contacts from the surface of the substrate. A substantially hour glass shaped slit is used to separate and insulate the fixed contacts. The wide portions of the slit act as reservoirs for conductive wearing powder, thereby delaying a short circuit due to wearing powder accumulation. Thus, the switch alleviates wear of the movable contacts and enhances switching accuracy.

  • Patent number: 4894690
Abstract: A thin film transistor array includes a gate bus and a source bus intersecting with each other at right angles, a thin film transistor pair disposed adjacent to the intersecting point and electrically connected to the two buses. If a short circuit is detected between the two buses, the gate bus or the source bus is severed into a separate portions to eliminate the short circuit. A bypass bus is provided to electrically connect the electrically good severed portions and to the end terminal. Such a bypass bus avoids the need for additional power supply terminals to the opposite ends of the severed bus and facilitates driving the thin film transistor by supplying the power at only one end thereof.

  • Patent number: 4883417
Abstract: An apparatus for continuously producing a dough strip of substantially uniform dimensions is provided. The apparatus (2) comprises a hopper (4) having a divider (8) at its bottom, a conveyor (10) with a weighing device (12), a transfer conveyor (13), a thickness defining device (24) mounted on the transfer conveyor (13) and the width defining members (26) between the transfer conveyor (13) and the thickness defining device (24). In this apparatus, the dough portions supplied from the hopper (4) are weighed and supplied onto the transfer conveyor (13) one after another. By regulating the width and thickness of the dough, the length of the dough is made to be proportional to its weight. Thus the dough portion is supplied onto the transfer conveyor when it has conveyed the preceding dough portion a distance proportional to the weight thereof. The dough portions are connected to each other to make a dough strip when they pass through the thickness defining device (24) and the width defining members (26).

  • Patent number: 4872842
Abstract: An electric connecting device wherein a movable member can be locked with certainty with respect to a fixed member and the safety is assured even if such a locking mechanism is not removed. The electric connecting device comprises a resilient member removably mounted on one of the fixed member and the movable member for engaging with the other of the fixed member and the movable member. The movable member is thus normally held at its home position with respect to the fixed member by the resilient member, and after the electric connecting device is assembled to a predetermined device, the resilient member is removed. Even if the resilient member is otherwise left on the electric connecting device, it will not make an obstacle to rotation of the movable member.

  • Patent number: 4871885
Abstract: The on-off operation of the switch as the slide switch is effected by moving the operating knob in the first horizontal direction, namely, the X-direction to move the slider A together with the slider B in the same direction and thereby sliding the first contactor in the X-direction on an associated pattern formed on a switch board. On the other hand, the on-off operation of the switch as the push switch is effected by pushing the operating knob in the second horizontal direction, namely, the Y-direction perpendicular to the X-direction to engage the cam M of the slider A with the engageable portion of the slider C and move the slider C in the Z-direction perpendicular to the Y-direction against the biasing force of the second spring, and thereby sliding the second contactor in the Z-direction on an associated pattern on the switch board.
