  • Patent number: 8248419
Abstract: A system for interactive computer graphics enables generation of Bezier curves from a series of points based on the relative position of successive points in the series. For example, for successive points in a series, point A, point B, and point C are successive points in the series of points, and wherein a control point corresponding to point B and associated with the segment AB is determined by the equation B+RA*(RA*(B?C)+RC*(A?B)), and a control point corresponding to point B and associated with the segment BC is determined by the equation PBBC=B+RC*(RA*(C?B)+RC*(B?A)), where RA=|AB|/(|AB|+|BC|), and RC=|BC|/(|AB|+|BC|).

  • Patent number: 8241783
Abstract: A battery lid structure for an electronic device is provided which has a battery lid allowing a battery case to be opened when a battery lid body slides. A long engagement hole L-shaped in plan view is formed on a pressing plate to which the battery lid body is slidably attached. A lock lever section and a lock lever receiving section where an engagement section is formed are attached to the battery lid body so as to slide perpendicularly to the sliding direction. The engagement of the engagement section with a second long hole of the long engagement hole prevents the sliding motion of the battery lid body. During the sliding motion of the battery lid body, the engagement section engages with a first long hole of the long engagement hole. The wall surface of the long engagement hole is covered with a part of a plate spring body.

  • Patent number: 8241124
Abstract: Gaming machines projecting video images onto a curved display are disclosed herein. A Display Manager receives one or more video signals from a Master Gaming Controller and one or more video signals from the system device and displays one or multiple video signals on the curved display. The Display Manager sends the multiple video signals to a digital light emitting projector which projects the multiple video signals simultaneously on the curved display. The curved display may be split between multiple signals, or one or more signals may overlay one or more background signals. The overlaid signals may completely obscure the background signals, or they may provide a level of transparency by allowing the background signal to be partially or completely visible. The Display Manager receives commands from a device, directing it how to split, overlay, superimpose, and otherwise share the display among the video input signals.

  • Patent number: 8241123
Abstract: A gaming method for presenting both gaming content based video signals and secondary video signals over a single display using a Display Manager is disclosed. The Display Manager is placed between the Master Gaming Controller and its Main Game Display and any Secondary Display and between the Player Tracking Unit connected to the casino system network (e.g., player tracking device) and its System display. The Display Manager receives one or more video signals from the Master Gaming Controller and one or more video signals from the system device and displays one or multiple video signals on one or more shared displays. One of video signals may be presented alone on one of the displays, with the other signal absent from that shared display, or multiple signals may be simultaneously displayed on one of the shared displays. The screen may be split between multiple signals, or one or more signals may overlay one or more background signals.

  • Patent number: 8235784
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method for presenting a game having a bonus feature. The method includes initiating a game on at least one of a plurality of gaming machines associated with one another and arranged in a circular bank. The gaming machines are monitored to determine whether a triggering event has occurred on any of the plurality of gaming machines. A bonus feature is initiated on all of the plurality of gaming machines in response to the triggering event. The bonus feature play includes activating indicators associated with each gaming machine located around the circular bank, in a sequential order, for a specific amount of time. At the end of the sequence only one gaming machine indicator remains activated, designating a winner of the bonus feature. The winner is awarded a bonus.

  • Patent number: 8234836
Abstract: A framing member incorporates a series of web slots along a portion of the member that are expanded through the process of manufacture. The expansion of the web slots creates voids and metal web elements in the webbed portion of the member, which can be a stud. The voids created during the expansion process can become the voids for running wiring, plumbing and heating ducts. The web elements can be designed to minimize thermal transmission from the exterior to the interior of a wall including the member, as well as provide adequate structure properties required from the structural member. The expanded slots allow the part to enlarge without increasing the amount of raw material and therefore substantially reducing the cost to manufacture.

  • Patent number: 8235788
Abstract: A display and input system 10 provides an enhanced means for displaying service and system information 14 from a system network 18 to a player and to a casino employee. The display and input system 10 enables part or all of a video display screen 40 in a gaming device 50, which had previously been used only as a gaming interface 30, to be utilized as a systems interface 20 for data entry and retrieval of the service and system information 14. This provides a dramatic improvement over traditional system components 60 (input/output peripherals) that have been used as in the past to access service and system information 14 from the system network 18, such as 2-line, 20 character VF displays and 12-digit keypads. The display and input system 10, does not control game play itself (e.g., game play betting, game play flow, or game play operation). Rather, the system 10 provides a limited form of game play monitoring, indirectly, with respect to the monitoring player points.
