  • Patent number: 8291385
Abstract: Methods and systems for testing a software program are provided. The methods include receiving a textual input for testing at least one static type used by the software program. The textual input of an embodiment is pre-linked to the at least one static type. The method includes creating a dynamic type based on the textual input in a dynamically typed language. The dynamic type is populated based on a predefined set of test vectors and is then passed on to the software program. The software program is executed using the dynamic type. Executing the software program by using the dynamic type invokes the at least one static type used by the software program.

  • Patent number: 8291146
Abstract: A system and method using messages to access registers and memory in a PCI Express communications link environment. Vendor defined PCI Express messages can be used to read and write to the memory-mapped or register space of a device. Four types of accesses are defined using this messaging approach, namely memory read, memory write, configuration read and configuration write. The type of register access desired is defined by the appropriate value in a vendor-specific type field in the header of the vendor defined message. If a PCI Express compliant device at the other end of the PCI Express link does not support these types of messages, the messages are silently discarded by the receiver and no error is reported.

  • Patent number: 8283722
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed to increase a breakdown voltage of a semiconductor device. The semiconductor device includes an enhanced well region to effectively increase a voltage at which punch-through occurs when compared to a conventional semiconductor device. The enhanced well region includes a greater number of excess carriers when compared to a well region of the conventional semiconductor device. These larger number of excess carriers attract more carriers allowing more current to flow through a channel region of the semiconductor device before depleting the enhanced well region of the carriers. As a result, the semiconductor device may accommodate a greater voltage being applied to its drain region before the depletion region of the enhanced well region and a depletion region of a well region surrounding the drain region merge into a single depletion region.

  • Patent number: 8283294
Abstract: The invention relates to a procedure for linking cognate pairs of VH and VL encoding sequences from a population of cells enriched in particular surface antigen markers. The linking procedure involves a multiplex molecular amplification procedure capable of linking nucleotide sequences of interest in connection with the amplification, in particular polymerase chain reaction (multiplex PCR). The method is particularly advantageous for the generation of cognate pair libraries as well as combinatorial libraries of variable region encoding sequences from immunoglobulins. The invention also relates to methods for generation of chimeric human/non-human antibodies and expression libraries generated by such methods.

  • Patent number: 8286250
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, a system and a computer program product for determining whether a browser extension leaks information over a network, is provided. A control flow graph (CFG) is generated from a source code included in the browser extension. The CFG is particular to the programming language included in the source code. A sensitive path in the CFG is determined. The sensitive path begins at a sensitive source node and ends at a sensitive end node. A set of tainted variables in the CFG are identified, where each tainted variable stores sensitive or personal information. A subset of tainted variables is generated where each tainted variable in the subset is included in the sensitive path. When a tainted variable in the subset is included in the sensitive end node, the browser extension is determined to leak information over the network.

  • Patent number: 8284693
Abstract: Embodiments for space-time coding are disclosed. One method includes establishing a priority for each of a plurality of data streams. A number of data bits for each of the plurality of data streams are allocated. A desired signal quality for each of the plurality of data streams is determined based on the corresponding priority. Each of the plurality of data streams are modulated according to the allocated number of data bits of each of the plurality of data streams. A space-time code is selected for each of the plurality of data streams based at least partially on the desired signal quality for each of the plurality of data streams, wherein at least one of the space-time codes is at least one of a vector or a matrix. Each of the modulated data streams are space-time coded with the selected space-time code. The space-time coded modulated data streams are summed, and transmitted.
