Abstract: Secure operations and components may be integrated into a conventional processing system executing a standard operating system. A secure processing environment where trusted secure application code is executed may be provided for performing secure operations. In this environment, the applications and components may access all of the components in the system including secure components. An open processing environment is provided for performing conventional operations. Conventional application code may be executed in the open environment. In the open environment, access may only be provided to open components. That is, open applications and components may not be allowed to access the secure components in the system. In this way, a secure processing environment may be provided that allows secure and non-secure applications to be simultaneously executed while protecting sensitive data and operations.
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products are provided for instant recovery of a virtual machine (VM) from a compressed image level backup without fully extracting the image level backup file's contents to production storage. The method receives restore parameters, initializes a virtual storage, and attaches the virtual storage to a hypervisor configured to launch a recovered VM. The method stores virtual disk data changes inflicted by a running operating system (OS), applications, and users in a changes storage. The method provides the ability to migrate the actual VM disk state (taking into account changed disk data blocks accumulated in changes storage) so as to prevent data loss resulting from the VM running during the recovery and accessing virtual storage, to production storage without downtime. In embodiments, the method displays received restore parameters in an interactive interface and delivers the recovery results via an automated message.
Abstract: A system includes at least one adaptive filter coupled to a first communication channel and at least one other communications channel. The at least one adaptive filter includes at least one set of adaptive filter coefficients. A memory stores at least one predetermined set of filter coefficient thresholds. The filter coefficient thresholds may be indicative of channel faults, channel to channel faults or a length of the channel. A controller is configured to compare the set of filter coefficients to the predetermined set of filter coefficient thresholds. The controller is configured to determine the information about the channels based on compare results.

Abstract: A diesel engine in which a lubrication oil on the wall surface of the cylinder liner is prevented from being burned and diluted, and a smoke resulting from the local lack of air in the combustion chamber is also prevented from being generated. The diesel engine comprises a group injection hole nozzle 20 and a piston 110. A step 115 having a height gradually increased toward the radial outer circumference of the piston is formed over the entire circumference of the top surface 111 of the piston. Furthermore, a tilted part 115b is formed as the step surface of the step 115.
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a black smoke exhaust purification apparatus capable of equalizing temperature of a particulate filter and facilitating maintenance thereof. The black smoke exhaust purification apparatus is arranged in series therein with an oxidation catalyst and a particulate filter wherein an inlet for exhaust gas is disposed between the oxidation catalyst and the particulate filter, and wherein an exhaust gas passage is extended from the inlet portion through the oxidation catalyst so as to be connected to an upstream space of the oxidation catalyst.
Abstract: In wireless systems, a method and system for pre-equalization in a single weight (SW) single channel (SC) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system are provided. A first receive antenna and at least one additional receive antenna may receive a plurality of SC communication signals transmitted from at least two transmit antennas. Estimates of the propagation channels between transmit and receive antennas may be performed concurrently and may be determined from baseband combined channel estimates. Channel weights may be determined to modify the signals received by the additional receive antennas. Pre-equalization weight parameters may be determined to modify subsequent signals transmitted from the transmit antennas. The pre-equalization weight parameters may be based on the propagation channel estimates and may be determined by LMS, RLS, DMI, or by minimizing a cost function. Closed loop transmit diversity may also be supported.

Abstract: A method, computer program product, and system are provided for computing link supportability in a WCDMA communications system. For example, the method can be used to calculate link supportability of a transponder in satellite communications system (e.g. MUOS) in a user-to-base direction. This method can include expressing a carrier signal to noise ratio spectral density for a communication link of interest in terms of a transponder input power of the communication link of interest, a spectral overlap factor representative of one or more interfering communication links, and a transponder input power of the one or more interfering communication links. Assumptions and approximations can be made to simplify the spectral density expression in order to reduce a dimensionality of terms used in the computation of the expression. As such, in reducing dimensionality, the expression becomes a manageable computation for WCDMA communication systems to evaluate.

Abstract: A method is described for alignment of a substrate during a double patterning process. A first resist layer containing at least one alignment mark is formed on the substrate. After the first resist layer is developed, a second resist layer is deposited over the first resist layer, leaving a planar top surface (i.e., without topography). By baking the second resist layer appropriately, a symmetric alignment mark is formed in the second resist layer with little or no offset error from the alignment mark in the first resist layer. The symmetry of the alignment mark formed in the second resist can be enhanced by appropriate adjustments of the respective thicknesses of the first and second resist layers, the coating process parameters, and the baking process parameters.
