Abstract: This eyeglass side shield with a snap-in locking member is generally intended for use with eyeglass temples having expanded padding or inserts around and extending forwardly from its ear hook. The side shield is provided with retention ridges abutting a trough formed in the material of the side shield. This trough has a generally “C” shaped cross-section and can be slid onto an eyeglass temple from the front rather than the rear. After placement in position, the snap-in locking member provides an obstruction that prevents the eyeglass shield from being slid forward past the hinge casing for the eyeglass temple. It also serves to further block movement of the eyeglass shield backward past the expanded padding or inserts.
Abstract: A bag is modified to include an air input port that allows inflation of an interply region of the bag. As the interply region inflates, an inner ply rises and becomes an advancing wall, raising the bulk material level in the bag and inclining the bottom of the bag, while pulling excess material away from a drain region of the bag. In another embodiment, the bag is made with half the initial number of layers folded in half to create the upper and lower plies and the non-fold edges are bonded. Where corner drain ports are used, the bag can be arranged so that an interlayer bond parallel to the fold is parallel to a diagonal of a tote in which the bag sits and so that the interlayer bond is opposite the drain port to enhance bag evacuation. An additional optional feature of the invention is the inclusion of an integral filling conduit or snout on the top of the bag, a mouth of which acts as a fill port to ease filling of the bag. Junctures can be created in the interply region to guide its inflation.

Abstract: A tree limb removing apparatus and method featuring a tree delimbing device having a horizontal member with a plurality of vertical members perpendicular thereto and depending therefrom, which vertical members are preferably discs which are rotatable about said horizontal member, and the method of using such a delimbing apparatus to remove limbs from felled timber by orienting said horizontal member so that it is perpendicular to a felled tree to be delimbed and propelling said tree delimber along and over the length of said felled tree.
Abstract: An apparatus for connection to a rod and reel, comprised, in its preferred embodiment, of (1) an emergency flotation bladder, (2) a compact container in which said bladder is stowed, (3) connection means for connection of said container to the rod portion of a rod and reel, (4) monofilament line severing means for severing the line of the rod and reel to which the container is connected, and (5) means for automatically triggering monofilament line severing means and inflating said bladder when the article with attached container falls into water by some mishap or is otherwise immersed therein.
Abstract: A multipurpose archery bow grip assembly characterized by a bow grip mounted on the bow handle by at least two connecting members, which connecting members have a linear portion that may be nonpermanently affixed at a plurality of depths transversely within the bow handle so as to allow the distance of the top and bottom of the bow grip from the bow handle to differ, and which connecting members terminate in ball portions which pivotally mount in sockets provided in the bow grip, one of such sockets being elongated so as to allow the depth at which the connecting members are affixed within the bow handle to be different.
Abstract: A multiexercise weight lifting machine which features in its most basic embodiments a gearbox capable of converting the torque input through a first axle from a source of resistance (such as a weight stack) into a greater torque output at a second axle to which is connected a user interface (such as a handle); which gearbox is slidably mounted on a linear member such that the gearbox can be moved to different positions along the length of the linear member to allow different types of exercises. In its preferred embodiments it also features means for reversing the torque output at the second axle and user interface. Its numerous functions and benefits may also be supplemented by addition of a weight bench, provision of means for changing the gear ratio of the gearbox, and other features.
