  • Patent number: 7566006
Abstract: A terminal for marking a pre-printed document which lists a plurality of choices and which includes a marking space for each choice which can be either hand-marked by a user, or machine marked by the terminal. The terminal scans the document format, and then presents the choice selection options to the user visually by means of an LCD touch screen menu and aurally by means of a synthesized speech menu. Choice selections entered by means of the touch screen menu or by means of the audio menu are marked on the front and back sides of the document in marking spaces corresponding to the selected choices, and the document is returned to the user in a form which enables the user to visually confirm that his or her selections have been marked.

  • Patent number: 7560064
Abstract: A downdraft cutting table assembly includes a cutting table having a top surface for supporting a workpiece, and first and second side wall assemblies for supporting the top surface. The cutting table is comprised of table sections. First and second rail assemblies are mounted to the side wall assemblies for mounting a cutting torch assembly, which moves along the rail assemblies for cutting the workpiece. Partitions defining ventilation zones extend beneath the top surface. An exhaust duct having a vent associated with a ventilation zone is included for exhausting fumes produced when cutting the workpiece proximal to the ventilation zone. A pivoting door assembly having a door and an arm assembly is included for covering the vent. The arm assembly is actuated by the cutting torch assembly and pivots the door open, allowing the fumes to be drawn into the exhaust duct.

  • Patent number: 7552852
Abstract: A nail holding and driving device includes an elongated generally non-magnetically conductive main tube and a magnet movably mounted on the outer wall of the main tube. A nail-driving rod is slidably housed within the main tube, the nail-driving rod being constructed of a magnetically conductive material and having a nail engaging and striking lower impact end face and an impact-receiving upper end. The magnet is operative to magnetize the nail-driving rod through the main tube. The nail-driving rod is operative to magnetically engage a nail to support the nail within the main tube in contact with the nail engaging and striking lower end of the nail-driving rod and drive the nail into the desired location by impact of a nail-driving device with the impact-receiving upper end of the nail-driving rod.

  • Patent number: 7542874
Abstract: A system and method for displaying inspection data collected from a furnace is disclosed. The system comprises a storage device for storing the inspection data. The system also comprises a computer programmed to partition the inspection data at a plurality of data markers so as to correlate the inspection data to the physical geometry of the furnace. Each of the data markers identifies the location of a physical feature of the furnace (such as a bend, an external raised surface, cross-over piping, a thermal well, a weld, a flange, a schedule change and/or a diameter change). Preferably, the computer is also programmed to generate a display of the partitioned inspection data, wherein the display is a two-dimensional or three-dimensional representation of the tube segments of the furnace. This display may then be used to visually detect problem areas within the furnace. Various exemplary embodiments of the system and associated method are provided.

  • Patent number: 7530783
Abstract: An assembly for securely mounting and retaining a protective grill onto an appliance housing, comprising fasteners secured to the appliance housing and corresponding prongs extending from the protective grill wherein the grill may be removably mounted to the appliance housing by inserting the free end of the prong into an aperture in the fastener, whereby spring tension resiliently urges a portion of the fastener toward the opening over which the grill is mounted and around the prongs.
