Abstract: An upper and a lower body having three sockets, two on the upper portion and one on the center of the bottom face of the lower body. Each socket has a slide cover which fits into a track and which can slide back and forth to align and disalign with conductor prong holes. The slide covers each have hook-like legs which slideably secure them in slide cover leg slots. Retainers are on the inside of the upper and lower bodies to hold conductor plates in place. The prongs of a plug, when engaged with the present invention, fit through engagement slots on the slide covers and conductor prong holes to the protruberances of the conductor plate. When not in use, the slide cover can be slid to one side so as to close the passage to the conductor plate.
Abstract: Improved means are described for sealing thin-walled and relatively flexible containers. The improvements are made in straight line sealing machines which include side belt arrangements which encapsulate the filled containers and which also provide means for heating and then for pressing on and for twisting composite closure caps into a finally sealed position on the encapsulated containers.
Abstract: A toy car carrier having handles which are movable between inoperative and operative positions. When in operative positions, the handles may be held to carry or propel the toy car carrier and to confine the toy cars to the toy car carrier. When the handles are moved to inoperative positions, they release the toy cars for removal from the toy car carrier.In its preferred form, the toy car carrier is a tractor-trailer type of vehicle wherein both the tractor and the trailer are capable of carrying toy cars, and both are provided with ramps for toy car loading and unloading purposes. A coupling between the tractor and trailer has dual functions: to pivotally couple the tractor and trailer for normal use, and to lock the tractor and trailer relative to each other for carrying purposes.
Abstract: A machine for making and painting test tubes by painting open-ended tubes and then fusing and severing them to form individual test tubes.Substitutable paint applicators varying in width, adjustable in location relative to the open-ended tubes, apply paint thereto by means of wiping action caused by rotating said open-ended tubes while in engagement with said paint applicators. The open-ended tubes are then individually fused and severed intermediate their open ends to form, from each open-ended tube, two separate test tubes having painted bands of the desired width and at the desired location, including painted bands which are contiguous with the open ends of the test tubes.
Abstract: A hollow vertical cyliner is open at its lower end. A deck having an opening communicating with the interior of the cylinder seals the upper end of the cylinder. A cap for the top end has essentially the same shape and size as the top end. The cap has a first relatively small section and a second relatively large section. The first section is secured to a corresponding portion of the top end. The two sections have facing edges which are spaced from each other except for a common central region which defines a second integral living hinge. A prong is secured to the second section and is insertable into and removable out of the opening in the deck.

Abstract: An improved composite closure is described which includes a cover portion and a molded plastic ring portion. The plastic ring portion is molded by a new method with top tool core removal which permits formation of inwardly directed tabs or fishhooks on the tamper evident ring. The molded ring also permits the cover to be inserted from the top of the ring rather than upwardly over the ring threads, which is an easier and faster method of assembling a composite closure.
Abstract: A mechanism for agricultural chemical formulation including a mixing tank and a dispersion tank. A rotatable shar blade is mounted within the dispersion tank which has a bottom wall and a side wall. The formulation is transferred from the mixing tank into the dispersion tank through an opening in the bottom wall with the shar blade being in close adjacency to the opening in order to permit the shar blade to strike the formulation as soon as it enters the dispersion tank. The formulation is re-circulated back into the mixing tank and the re-circulation between the two tanks is continued until it reaches the correct consistency.
Abstract: A coaxial connector is described which has an improved plug pin and shell construction wherein the conventional machined pins and shells are replaced with stamped and drawn members providing for simpler manufacture, improved electrical and spring retention characteristics, and improved and simplified wire connections. In particular, the plug pin is hollow and is fixedly mounted in the plug shell, and the conductor is attached to the pin by a front end crimping of the hollow pin after the conductor is slipped into the pin.

Abstract: A main transmission gear secured to the end of the main transmission shaft which transmits power to another shaft by engaging a bevel gear secured to that shaft. The power is subsequently transmitted to the driving wheel by means of a chain to two sprockets, one coaxial with the bevel gear, the other fixed to a central shaft to which the driving wheel has been secured. The driving wheel has a thick layer of rubber attached on its steel rim. This outer circumference of rubber will result in better friction between the driving wheel and the ground. Two steel front wheels, set on opposite sides of the driving wheel, each being set inside a wheel support which connects with the support leg of the cart. An adjustment screw which enables the relative elevation difference between the front wheel and the driving wheel to be adjusted so as to increase the driving force of the driving wheel. This transmission mechanism hence can efficiently transmit power from the motor to the driving wheel.
