  • Patent number: 7387378
Abstract: The present invention provides a liquid container which has a check valve for preventing a flow of outside air into its inside and which is capable of maintaining the performance of the check valve constant. An ink pack (25) includes a bag portion (36), which holds an outlet portion by heat-welding. An internal space (S) is formed in the bag portion (36), and ink is contained therein. The outlet portion has a first flow path forming component (41). A first recess portion (47) is recessed from the one side surface (41a) of the first flow path forming component (41). First and second ink flow paths (46, 51), which communicate with the internal space (S), extend from a bottom surface (47a) of this first recess portion (47). A valve seat (53) is formed in a projecting shape so as to surround the second ink flow path (51). A laminate film (36a) sealingly closes the first recess portion (47). Thus, a valve body accommodating chamber (55) is formed.

  • Patent number: 7384133
Abstract: A second sealing film F2 is thermally bonded onto a leading end portion R1 of an ink lead-out member 32b of an ink pack and an annular projecting portion R2 provided on an ink casing 31. Thereby, a gap D produced between the ink lead-out member 32b and the ink casing 31 can be closed from outside the ink casing 31. Accordingly, the airtightness of a space S in the ink casing 31 is kept, thus making it possible to raise the pressure in the space S and generate such a force as to crush the ink pack.

  • Patent number: 7383474
Abstract: Each agent unit gets status information indicating the state of each of network printers connected by a LAN from the network printers every first time period. Whenever each agent unit gets the status information from the network printer, it overwrites a status log data file with the gotten status information. Each agent unit converts all status information stored in the status log data file into status mail of electronic mail and transmits the status mail to a mail server every second time period longer than the first time period. On the other hand, a console unit accesses the mail server and reads the status mail in a proper time period to the console unit.

  • Patent number: 7370930
Abstract: The ink unit of a printer has a memory circuit (memory element) for non-contact communication. The memory circuit has a hold mode M2 in which memory access commands from the transmitter/receiver are not received, and an active mode M4 in which memory access is permitted upon receipt of a memory access command. The memory circuit shifts into active mode M4 if the ID contained in the active mode command matches its own ID when an active mode command containing the cartridge ID is received from the transmitter/receiver while in hold mode M2. The reception of an anti-collision start command from the transmitter/receiver while in hold mode M2 results in a shift to anti-collision mode M3 to check the ID.

  • Patent number: 7367663
Abstract: A liquid container includes a liquid pack having a flexible pouch holding the liquid, a container body containing the liquid pack, an expandable-and-contractile stirring chamber formed in the container body, and a pressurized fluid supply passage for supplying a pressurized fluid into the stirring chamber. At least a part of the stirring chamber is formed of a low-rigidity member. A pressurized fluid is supplied through the pressurized fluid supply passage into the stirring chamber to press and deform the low-rigidity member by the pressure of the pressurized fluid. The deformed low-rigidity member presses and deforms the flexible pouch of the liquid pack. The liquid container prevents the uneven distribution of ingredient concentration in the liquid contained in the liquid container without complicating and enlarging a liquid-consuming apparatus.
