Abstract: An efficient filter circuit and method for filtering a loss of receiver signal prevents false signals caused by glitches. The short glitches that happen at the positive edge of the clock signal may be prevented from affecting the whole clock cycle. The false signal removal circuitry is effective against both false active high and false active low signals. A selectable majority determination block also measures the number of glitches or average signal strength to determine that a valid signal is present. A mininum pulse width of a glitch is settable.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and apparatus for mapping platform-based design to multiple foundry processes. According to an exemplary aspect of the present invention, a predefined (or pre-specified) slice is successfully mapped on to a first fabrication process with a first set of design rules to produce a first result. Then the slice's ability to be mapped to a second fabrication process with a second set of design rules is evaluated to produce a second result. Next, the comparison between the two results is computed to produce a third result. The third result may be then used to modify the slice architecture, optimize the metalization process and/or modify the first or second fabrication process. The slice definition, the first set of design rules, the second set of design rules, the first result, the second result, and the third result may be stored into a database.
Abstract: A method and system for communicating across heterogeneous networks having components with dissimilar data structure definitions is disclosed in which determinations are made as to whether the sender is up-level or down-level and whether the up-level data structure size is greater or lesser than the down-level data structure size. According to these determinations, data fields for the decoded data structure may skip data or assign default values. The invention reduces upgrade costs and system down time.
Abstract: A cabinet for supporting a platform for a power tool has a body constructed with three or more substantially vertical surfaces. One of the surfaces allows insertion of a removable dustbin. The removable dustbin may have a handle or recess to aid in insertion and removal and may have a window. One of the surfaces allows access to storage compartments, such as a blade/dado storage compartment, an inserts compartment, and a storage shelf compartment.
Abstract: A head pressure relief assembly for relieving pressure in the head assembly of an air compressor may include an exhaust valve post formed in the head assembly and an exhaust valve assembly comprised of a flapper valve. An aperture may be formed through the exhaust valve post for venting the head assembly prior to start of the compressor assembly. The flapper valve is capable of engaging the exhaust valve post to close the aperture at least partially for preventing flow from the head assembly through the aperture during the compression stroke of the compressor assembly piston. A head pressure relief assembly may also include an aperture disposed in the head assembly, a connecting tube therefor, or a check valve.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a semi-programmable ASIC using two metals for the metal layers. The semi-programmable ASIC may have a prefabricated first section and a customized second section. The prefabricated first section and the customized second section may each include one or more metal layers. The one or more metal layers included in the prefabricated first section may be used to define undifferentiated sets of electrical and logic elements. An undifferentiated set of electrical and logic elements may be a NAND logic gate, a NOR logic gate, or the like. The one or more metal layers included in the customized second section may be used to define logic functions of the undifferentiated sets of electrical and logic elements.
Abstract: A system and method for optimizing fault tolerant storage controllers includes a fault tolerant hardware component comprised of an input interface, at least two output interfaces and, if necessary, a power source connection. The fault tolerant hardware component may be embedded in a storage controller or separately housed within an enclosure. The fault tolerant hardware component may couple with a host information handling system and with two or more storage controllers, which are connected to mass storage devices to form storage arrays. Multiple fault tolerant hardware components can be coupled with a single host information handling system when it includes multiple host ports. Further, the fault tolerant hardware component may be coupled with other fault tolerant hardware components.
Abstract: An enclosure assembly for enclosing a tamper-evident security seal sealing a hasp assembly comprises a first enclosure portion and a second enclosure portion. A post is coupled to the first enclosure portion for extending through the generally aligned holes of the hasp members of the hasp assembly to secure the hasp members together and position the first enclosure portion behind the security seal. The second enclosure portion includes an aperture formed therein for receiving the post so that the second enclosure member engages the first enclosure portion and covers the security seal. In this manner, the first enclosure portion and the second enclosure portion cooperate to at least substantially enclose the security seal. A latching member secures the second enclosure portion to the first enclosure to limit unauthorized access to the security seal.
Abstract: A system and method for protecting the values stored in a BISR repair block and, optionally, debugging the BISR repair logic without altering normal test flow is implemented by a circuit including a plurality of soft latches within the BISR repair block, the soft latches being coupled together to form a BISR scan chain for holding BISR repair information. A chip level scan enable signal and a scan hold control signal cooperate to control connection of the BISR scan chain to other scan chains during a scan test, so that the BSR repair information is held within the soft latches. A diagnose enable signal cooperating with the chip level scan enable signal and the scan hold control signal for enabling debugging of logic connecting the BISR scan chains.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a mechanism and method for providing base end plunge router depth adjustment, such as when a router is utilized with a router table. The apparatus and method of the present invention permits accurate and efficient depth adjustment when utilizing a router with a router table. A router depth adjustment device includes an adjustment knob and indexer, so users are provided with the ability for measured depth adjustment.
Abstract: A baseball swing training apparatus including that enables a batter to determine whether his swing followed the proper principles for hitting or batting. Oriented for use by both right-handed and left-handed batters it is intended to teach batters how their wrists should react in order to most effectively hit a ball. This generally baseball bat shaped apparatus includes a swing indicator disposed inside the barrel, which impacts one of four impact points producing an audible response when a swing is performed correctly. An incorrect swing produces no audible response.
Abstract: An air compressor assembly with one or more of the following features: a removable manifold assembly capable of being remotely located from the air compressor assembly for controlling and distributing compressed air from the air compressor assembly to one or more air powered tools, a lifting handle, a handle capable of assuming a plurality of positions, condensate removal devices, and a stable base and tie-down points.

Abstract: A bit retaining assembly for retaining a bit in a rotary tool, in particular a router such as a hand-held router, a table-mounted router, a pocket cutter, a laminate trimmer, a rotary cutout tool, or the like employs a planetary gear system for multiplying the torque applied to clamp the bit within a collet. The bit retaining assembly comprises a chuck for coupling the bit retaining assembly to the rotor shaft of the rotary tool. A collet is disposed in the chuck for receiving the bit. A nut threaded onto the chuck compresses the collet about the bit to secure the bit within the collet. A planetary gear system transmits torque applied to a housing member to the nut for rotating the nut on the chuck. Preferably, the planetary gear system multiplies the torque transmitted to the nut so that the torque transmitted to the nut is greater than the torque applied to the housing member.
