Abstract: A device for closing a sliding door comprises a pair of slidable telescoped tubes. The device is secured at its outer ends to the sliding door and to a supporting door frame. A compression spring is located within the tubes urging the sliding door to return by itself from its open to its closed position. A string extends between the end portions of the tubes to prevent the tubes from being separated and a clamping means is adapted for locking the sliding door in any desired open position.
Abstract: A flexible and stretchable cover for a chaise longue cushion comprises an open top closable by a fastening means for easy insertion and removal of the cushion. A pair of elastic strips attached to the inner surface of the cover in its middle portion allows the sides of the cover to expand thereby forming side walls conforming to the width of a cushion enclosed therein. A flap member projecting from the open top portion of the cover conceals the fastening means, such as a zipper.
Abstract: A kite reel assembly suitable for manual kite string unwinding operation and for kite retrieval operation at a very high speed includes a spool coupled with a power-driven drill-like means comprising a novel adapter insertable therein for connection with the spool. The assembly comprises interchangeable elements which are easily replaceable for coupling with the spool.
Abstract: An improved dual flush valve assembly adapted for connection with a toilet tank provides a partial or full flush of water. The assembly comprises two actuating lever arms and three chains depending from the levers for connection with two flap valves. The flap valves are mounted on a hollow body having a hollow adapter for connection with a discharge pipe in a bottom wall of the tank. The adapter includes a plurality of resilient finger-like members which engage an interior of the discharge pipe. The assembly produces substantial savings in water consumption.
Abstract: A protective device attachable to outer garment for self-protection of a person against criminal attack comprises an ornamental, pliable, hollow body having inserted therein an easily breakable ampul containing a volatile foul smelling fluid which is emitted through apertures in the body of the device when the ampul is fractured by squeezing said body. When worn by a woman, the device is particularly useful for deterring an assault by a rapist.
Abstract: A towing system for a vehicle comprises a coupling frame attachable to the rear end of a towing vehicle and to the front end of the vehicle to be towed. The coupling frame includes a rotatable coupling member which permits independent tilting movement of each fron wheel of the towed vehicle during towing operation thereof.
Abstract: A memory scanning device for transmission to the brain of material sought to be learned and of modification of addictive problems comprises, in combination, a computer means including video and audio components, an illuminated by diodes visor having reflective undersurface, modified eyeglasses frame having a pair of mirrors mounted in their openings for reading the computer-stored material and a pair of sound-producing loudspeakers for listening to the recorded computerized material.
Abstract: A durable and reusable retainer clip for use in connection with a flexible tube containing a pasty material, such as toothpaste, comprises a rectangular body having a slot for insertion of the sealed end of the tube. The clip includes a rotatable holder on each side thereof adapted for gripping and holding folded flat segments of the tube in a neatly arranged position.
Abstract: A portable, rotatable holder for a flashlight enclosing a battery comprises a base structure, an upright housing secured thereto, a receptacle attached to the upper portion of the housing and a clamp mounted in the receptacle for receiving and releasably holding the body of the flashlight. The holder includes means for a dual rotational movement of the clamped flashlight to a desired position.
Abstract: An inflatable, stretchable plug for obstructing a hole drilled in the ground for a foundation pier comprises a sturdy elastic envelope having an air valve mounted in the wall thereof for connection with outside supply of pressurized air and a handle bonded to upper portion of the envelope for easy removal of the plug from the hole before concrete mixture is poured in to produce the pier.

Abstract: A fluid-heating solar collector comprises a solar energy absorber with heat conducting and radiation absorbing material arranged to provide a plurality of angularly bent conduits extending therethrough thus to optimize the heat absorption surface at differing sun angles and also to substantially increase the area for convective heat transfer to passing air or other fluid.
Abstract: A portable refrigerated table-bar useful in the hospitality industry comprises an upright cylindrical cabinet having a table top, a centrally disposed dual tube arrangement for raising or lowering slidingly a pair of trays affixed thereto in spaced apart relation and a thermoelectric refrigerating unit disposed within the lower portion of the cabinet. The sliding movement of the trays is activated by electromechanical means associated therewith. One tray is provided with a plurality of depressions for accomodation of beverage bottles.
Abstract: A resilient and stretchable cover for a therapeutic support cushion comprises an opening formed by detaching overlapping end portions of its top and bottom walls provided with an adhesive fastener tape secured thereto. The cover also includes a transversely disposed vertical partition comprising two overlapping detachably adherent sections, thereby forming two separate chambers, each adapted for accomodation of a support cushion.
Abstract: A durable, resilient, hollow sealing wedge extending all along the entire width of a door comprises a solid outer body portion including three outwardly extending projections and an empty interior. When squeezed into the space between the door edge and the floor, the wedge provides a seal which prevents a floor stripping solution from passing to the floor area on the opposite side of the door.
Abstract: A portable, frameless, self-supporting guide for circular power saws comprises an elongated base plate affixed to a single L-shaped bar on one side and to a strip on the other side thereof. A pair of parallel cross rails is fixedly disposed above the base plate for slidable movement of a power saw thereby producing true right angle cuts or mited cuts in a workpiece in a safe and efficient manner.
Abstract: A cap cover for a truck fuel tank filler pipe comprises a base ring secured by a hinge to an annular cover. A pair of cooperating lugs secured to the base ring and to the annular cover, respectively, are provided with aligned holes therein for passage of a padlock which locks the cap cover thereby preventing theft of fuel from the tank.
Abstract: A durable, resilient door wedge extending all along the entire width of the door is described. When squeezed into the space between the door edge and the floor, the wedge provides a seal thereby preventing a floor stripping solution from flowing onto floor area on the opposite side of the door.
Abstract: An improved protective cover for an electrical outlet comprises a pair of slidable closure plates and a pair of coil spring-actuated blocking plates, both types of plates being positioned within the boundaries of rectangular openings in the front wall of the cover.
