A sensor is disposed in communication with an interior of the headbox. The sensor senses a pressure of the fiber suspension within the headbox and provides a signal corresponding thereto. A first pump is connected to the fluid conduit and supplies a fiber suspension to the headbox through the fluid conduit. A second pump is connected to the fluid conduit between the first pump and the headbox, and further is connected to the sensor.
