  • Patent number: 7392613
Abstract: A chum device (1) being a biodegradable capsule having at least one hole (4) located on a top end (2) thereof with a closure means (5). The capsule preferably contains a weight (6), activator (7) and chum (8). To use the device, a user removes the closure means (5) to reveal the at least one hole (4). Then, the user may shake the device (1) and toss the device (1) into the water. Because the device (1) is weighted and an air pocket rises to the capsule top end (2), the device (1) remains in an upright position as it sinks to the bottom of a water body. As the device (1) is sinking, the chum (8) slowly exits the device (1) through the at least one hole (4) and floats to the surface of the water. Because fish are attracted to the smell of the chum (8) and the sight of bubbles, fish flock to the area where the chum (8) and device (1) are located.

  • Patent number: 7320647
Abstract: A golf putter length adjustment holder device (1) comprising a hollow extension tube that fits over a putter shaft (2). The tube may be telescoping, thereby permitting for quick length conversion of the golf putter. In the alternative, the tube may be of a pre-determined length. Because the golf putter length adjustment holder device (1) fits over a putter, a person need not physically alter an existing putter nor purchase a new adjustable putter to use the present invention.

The burp cloth (1) has a front side (3) and a back side (8) that are attached to one another by stitching (16). A pillow is located at an upper portion of the burp cloth (1) and a clip (5) is located just below the pillow (2) on the front component (3) while a strap (4) is attached to the front side (3). To use the cloth (1), the user simply wraps the strap (4) around the bottle and attaches the fastening means (14) on a strap outer surface (13) to a fastening means (14) located on a strap inner surface (12). An alternate embodiment includes an adjuster (7) located on a strap pair (18) wherein the user feeds the end portion of the strap (4) through the adjuster (7) and pulls the strap (4) so as to make the strap (4) tight against the bottle (10).

  • Patent number: 7267343
Abstract: A method for playing a blackjack game wherein players compete against one another, rather than a dealer, to win. A player may win by having a blackjack, a double blackjack or 21. If a player does not have a blackjack, double blackjack or 21, the player whose hand value is closest to 21 than that of any other players of the game wins. If two or more players have the same total, then the player with the most number of cards in his hand wins. If the total value and number of the cards are the same, the hand with the highest ranking black card, which is the card closest to the blackjack, wins the pot. Other variations of the game include a blackjack pot and a super jackpot wherein a player wins if he or she has a predetermined hand. The game may be played with or without a conventional gaming establishment dealer.

  • Patent number: 7245473
Abstract: The switchable lightning-arrester system has a safety-switchable connector (10), which, for differing power-line features, can include optionally a counter-lever safety connector (14), a slide safety connector (40), a hinged safety connector (56) and a pivot safety connector (67) intermediate a power line (11) and a lightning arrester (1) for on-spot disconnection to protect workers from self-destructing arresters when changing lightning arresters or working on damaged lines without costly, time-consuming and power-disruptive shutdown of power lines. This is highly important because the lightning arresters are changed and repair work is done on damaged lines as quickly after self-destruction from lightning surges as possible requiring the change and repair. The safety-switchable connectors are made to be operable and changeable from a safe distance remotely, which is preferably from a ground position near a light pole, a transformer or other line support (9).

  • Patent number: 7201408
Abstract: A slidable bolt assembly (4) having a tension spring (16) mounted to a slide bolt rod (5). The actuating lever (8) is adapted to be pivotally mounted and is hand-operated. The actuating lever (8) is attached to a leaf tension spring (16) at one end and securely fastened to a bolt rod (5) on the other. The bolt member (5) is projected and retracted within the door by pivotal action of the actuating lever (8). Because the slidable bolt assembly (4) is attachable to the front of a door, the assembly (4) may be used on either an active (2) or inactive (3) door. In addition, the decorative mounting plate (7) allows a user to tastefully protect his or her home or business from excessive force caused by winds, intruders or other undesirable elements and promotes safety by restricting unauthorized individuals from access into or out of a room.

  • Patent number: 7191766
Abstract: A modified pump follower device (2) and method of retarding injection timing of EMD-type unit injectors by a desired amount of crank degrees includes the steps of providing a modified pump follower (2) whose plunger engagement location, also known as t-slot (7), varies depending on the desired amount of retarding. Specifically, the modified pump follower (2) has a t-slot (7) which has a predetermined distance t? on the modified pump follower (2), as compared to conventional pump followers having a predetermined distance t, such that the t-slot (14) is closer to the top face (9) of the pump follower (2). The difference in spacing between the original timing t and the retarded timing t? is r, which is an amount equal to the amount of retardation, in linear units, that corresponds to the desired amount of retardation in crank degrees.
