  • Patent number: 6132069
Abstract: An embedded type lighting device is formed by assembling a light body to the light body mounting base which is to be mounted to a fitting face. The light body provides the lamp structure made of a plastic material, the lamp socket, and the connector for electrical connection and mechanical connection to the light body mounting base. The light body mounting base includes a base structure made of a plastic material, a terminal block, and connection means for receiving, electrically connecting and mechanically supporting the connector of the light body. The light body is connected both electrically and mechanically to the light body mounting base by the connector. Yet, it is possible to omit a special insulation structure with regard to the terminal and the connection means by making the light body structure and the base structure of a plastic material. Thus the workability of the light body is improved and the construction of both the light body and the light body mounting base is simplified.

  • Patent number: 6131901
Abstract: A suction conveyor conveys sheets which are stacked in a hopper of a sheet stacker. The suction conveyor includes a suction box and a suction belt that cycles along the surface of the suction box. Porous sections, having sets of suction holes or the like, are formed intermittently at a prescribed pitch on the suction belt. The leading section of the sheet is suctioned to these porous sections, and the sheets are conveyed by the motion of the belt. A scraper at a terminal end region of the conveyance path forcibly peels off the sheet from the porous sections of the suction belt. The sheets are dropped down with the trailing end dropping before the leading end and are stacked in the hopper.

  • Patent number: 6131996
Abstract: A seat platform carrier for a chair tilts backward and forward relative to a base part when a load, such as a person sitting is the chair, is placed on the seat carrier. A resetting mechanism positioned the seat platform carrier to the same initial position when the load is removed. A lamellar pack attached to a hand lever provides the user with a means to lock the seat platform carrier in a desired tilted position. A height adjusting actuator is included in the base part to permit the user to select an appropriate seat platform height. A user sitting on the seat platform carrier is able to freely tilt forward or backwards.

  • Patent number: 6128987
Abstract: A hydraulic press has closed loop feedback control on a slide, a slide pad and bolster cylinders. Hydraulic cylinders actuating various components of the press are controlled according to ideal position estimates to produce consistent and precise pressing action. A closed loop control consists of an ideal position/pressure value generator, a position/pressure detector and an arithmetic unit comparing the ideal and actual position/pressure values. Using the ideal and actual comparison result, the arithmetic unit produces a control signal to drive a cylinder to a desired position/pressure. The hydraulic press is capable of performing several operations on a workpiece in one press cycle, an improvement over presses requiring several operation steps or die changes. The bolster cylinders augment clamping force, reduce shock, and improve die alignment to produce better results with less wear on press components.

  • Patent number: 6125090
Abstract: A disk changer employs two disk guides to support a recorded disk at opposite points along its edge. One of the disk guides has a belt that revolves around two pulleys. A surface of the belt frictionally engages an edge surface of the disk. The other disk guide has two surfaces, a low-friction guide surface parallel to the recorded surface of the disk and a resilient sloped surface that forms an angle with both the recorded surface of the disk and the perpendicular to the recorded surface of the disk. Both guides are urged together, and, as a result, the sloped surface is urged against the disk edge. Because of the slope of the surface, the sloped surface meets a corner where the recorded surface of the disk meets the edge surface of the disk and urges the disk's recorded surface toward the guide surface. This stabilizes the disk against pitching motion.

  • Patent number: 6123945
Abstract: Fat removal processing of herbs, such as those used in food seasoning, is conducted by using carbon dioxide liquid and/or an organic solvent, or carbon dioxide gas at subcritical or supercritical conditions. Hydrated alcohol is added to the residual oil-insoluble portion. Activated carbon is added to the resulting hydrated alcohol-containing extraction solution. After stirring, the activated carbon is removed. From the resulting solution, water and alcohol are removed, and a water soluble anti-oxidation agent is obtained.

  • Patent number: 6121097
Abstract: A polysilicon film is deposited in a trench formed in a silicon element substrate. The polysilicon film in the trench and on the silicon element substrate is anisotropically etched, so that the film remains on the side wall of the trench. The polysilicon film on the side wall is oxidized to obtain an insulating film, which buries the trench. At the same time, an oxidized film is formed on the surface of the silicon element substrate to complete a trench-mold separation area.

  • Patent number: 6121675
Abstract: A semiconductor optical sensing device includes an insulating casing containing a semiconductor optical sensor chip fixed in the bottom thereof. Transparent silicone gel fills the interior of the casing and covers the sensor chip. A transparent plate covers both the sensor chip and the silicone gel. Holes in the casing allow expansion and contraction of the silicone gel without disturbing the optical properties of the sensor chip, and without permitting the formation of bubbles in the silicone gel.

  • Patent number: 6114966
Abstract: A motor is provided in which zero-point positioning of the stator and rotor in the axial direction is simple. The operation of replacing the rotor or stator can be done easily. A motor is provided in which zero-point positioning of the stator and rotor in the axial direction is simple and the detection precision can be improved. In a canned motor, a bearing wear monitoring device monitors the wear of the bearings that supports the rotor. The wear of the bearings is determined by measuring the displacement of the rotor based on the output signal of detection coils that are provided in embedding core units on both axial ends of the stator. The center of the embedding core unit at one axial end of the stator and the end face of one axial end of the stator are positioned to coincide with one another. The other axial end of the rotor is made to protrude outside the embedding core unit of the other axial end of the stator by a prescribed dimension.
