Abstract: An active matrix type display panel is a hold type display panel which has a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix form, and holds and displays an electrical signal pixel by pixel for a predetermined time. A frame rate conversion circuit converts a video signal having a first vertical frequency (60 Hz) into a video signal having a second vertical frequency (120 Hz) which is m/n-fold (wherein m is an integer of 2 or more, n is an integer of 1 or more, and conditions of m>n are satisfied) of the first vertical frequency. A time base emphasizing circuit subjects an output from the frame rate conversion circuit to time base emphasis. A drive circuit displays the video signal having the second vertical frequency in a display panel.
Abstract: Method for inhibiting live cells including eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells on an item utilized outside the human or animal body. The method includes the step of providing on the item a biologically inhibiting material including an anode material and a cathode material. Both the anode material and the cathode material have a positive galvanic potential, and the potential of the cathode material is higher than the potential of the anode material. The anode material and the cathode material each include exposed active surfaces. The exposed active surfaces include at least one of a plurality of separated areas of anode material and a plurality of separated areas of cathode material. A distance between any point on the active surface and both the adjacent cathode material and the adjacent anode material does not exceed 200 ?m for inhibiting live cells including eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells on the item utilized outside the human or animal body.

Abstract: A receptacle connector prevents a plug from being obliquely inserted with a simple configuration. Receptacle connector 100 has: a hollow rectangular shape shield case (120) which is made by machining a metal plate and which includes fitting slot 101; and a housing (110) which is covered by the shield case (120) and in which contacts (130) to be connected with terminal parts (230) of an inserted plug (200) are disposed. In the shield case (120), a projecting part (124) is formed extending along one side of the fitting slot (101) by denting an upper plate part (122), which defines the accommodating part (104) accommodating the plug (200), to project toward an accommodating region (104). An end surface (124a) of this projecting part (124) on the fitting slot (101) side is closer to the fitting slot (101) side than the contacts (130) and forms a plane orthogonal to the upper plate part (122).

Abstract: An apparatus for the recognition an object in space in accordance with the pulsed time-of-flight principle. The apparatus has a pulsed laser and a photoreceiver arrangement which receives the light pulses reflected back from the object present in the space. The apparatus has a first light deflection apparatus which outputs a first angular position signal representative of its instantaneous angular position to the evaluation circuit, wherein the first light deflection apparatus is arranged rotatably or pivotably about a first axis of rotation and is made for the transmission of light pulses following one another at changing angles in a first plane, wherein a second light deflection apparatus is arranged between the first light deflection apparatus. The apparatus outputs a second angular position signal representative of its instantaneous angular position to the evaluation circuit which has a deflection plate which is arranged rotatably or pivotably about a second axis of rotation.

Abstract: The present invention seeks to provide a simple, but novel regime, for re-labelling swappable pins that permits swappability information to be maintained without significantly increasing computational complexity and is conducive to inexact pattern matching for the purposes of developing more complex logical processing blocks from elementary components in design analysis. The method comprises a recursive application of a simple labelling procedure. This method is repeated recursively until all gate instances in the circuit fragment have been assigned a swappability number.
