Abstract: An improved novelty item is disclosed. The novelty item has a container that receives a solid piece of carbon dioxide when the solid carbon dioxide contacts water vapor in the container a fog is created. As the solid carbon dioxide sublimates, the water vapor is emitted from the container as a visible fog. The container may be in the shape of any number of designs for which the visible fog streaming from the container creates a pleasing illusion.
Abstract: A highlighting device is disclosed. The device has a body having a reservoir for a quantity of ink and at the first end an applicator tip. The applicator tip has a face for applying ink to a surface. The face is generally rectangular and has a length and a width. The ratio of the length of the face to the width of the face being at least 1:3.
Abstract: A slot cover for an apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus has a moving carriage and a member connected to said carriage which travels in a slot. The slot is defined by a top member, a bottom member and a pair of side members. Each side member has a connection means extending therefrom and a slot cover joining the connection means. The carriage has a cover guide connected thereto which moves with the carriage. The cover guide causes the connecting means to become separated from said slot cover as the cover guide travels along the slot. The separated portion of the slot cover is pressed into engagement with the connection means as the cover guide continues to travel along the slot.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a shower and bath appliance that provides improved cleansing as well as massaging properties. The appliance for cleansing and massaging has a housing with an impeller rotatably mounter within the housing. The housing is adapted to receive water from a shower pipe or other water source. The impeller is rotated by the flow of water from the water source. The motion of impeller rotates one or more brushes mounted on the impeller. In addition, the water flows from the impeller through the brushes as they rotate.
Abstract: The present invention is primarily directed to rail car communication system and in particular communication system used to transfer data and voice communications from one car to another. The present invention has particular applicability for use in subway cars. A communication system using an E1 protocol is provided with an interface device which translates data received from a hardware device having, inter alia, a microprocessor and a universal asynchronous receiver transmitter (UART) used for serial communications such as COM 1-4. The asynchronous UART data is interfaced with the E1 channel. UART data transfers are usually done on a byte (8 bits) by byte basis but the present invention uses E1 timing and bit by bit communications. Additionally, data is normally sent at the data rate of the E1 channel not some other unrelated speed such as those used by a UART during serial communications. Also, the data is usually sent synchronously, like the E1 channel, not asynchronously, as with a UART.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an apparatus for connecting a device or implement to a tractor wherein the tractor is equipped with a conventional three-point hitch. The apparatus includes a frame having a top member and a bottom member, which are joined together by a pair of side members. Each side member is adapted to be pivotably connected to a hydraulic lift arm of a tractor and the top member is adapted to be pivotably connected to a top arm of a tractor. Each of said side members further adapted to be pivotably connected to a stabilizer bar. The stabilizer bar is adapted to be pivotably connected to said tractor. The stabilizer bars prevent lateral movement and upward movement of the frame when the frame is connected to a tractor.
Abstract: An improved garage door opener is disclosed. The garage door opener has a motor drive unit for opening and closing a garage door. The motor drive unit has a microcontroller. Connected to the motor drive unit is a wall console that resides inside the garage. The wall console also has a microcontroller. The microcontroller of the motor drive unit is connected to the microcontroller of the wall console by means of a digital data bus.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an improved flowable anesthetic composition that does not need to be applied by an applicator. The anesthetic composition of the present invention may be applied by dripping or spraying the composition onto a wound or other injured area. The composition of the anesthetic includes one or more anesthetics, and a base comprising a surgical lubricant. If desired, the composition may also include one or more vasoconstrictors. The vasoconstrictor is preferably an adrenaline based compound and more preferably epinephrine. The surgical lubricant is preferably water soluble. The anesthetics may include any of the well-known anesthetics such as lidocaine, pontocaine, tetracaine, bupivicaine, procaine and others.

Abstract: An applicator for dispensing a product comprises an exterior top surface, an exterior sidewall, and a base. The applicator has a chamber which constitutes a reservoir for holding the product to be dispensed. The reservoir has top wall, a bottom wall and a side wall. The applicator has an orifice for dispensing product, and the orifice connects the top surface to the top wall. The chamber has a disk capable of traveling through the chamber forcing product through the orifice as it travels through the chamber. The disk has a product contact surface that contacts a major portion of the top surface when the travel of the disk is complete so that product remaining in the chamber is minimized.
