Abstract: A steam trap is provided having a main locking member disposed in a supply pressure chamber and cooperating with a main valve seat, a pressure chamber provided in the low pressure end and an adjustment member mounted in the pressure chamber which is responsive to the pressure therein, and which is coupled with the main locking member by means of a shaft. The shaft has a control conduit longitudinally extending therethrough coupling the supply pressure end with the pressure chamber. A pilot valve seat is provided on the main locking member at the inlet opening of the control conduit and a pilot locking member is provided which cooperates with the pilot valve seat. An actuating device is provided for the pilot locking member which is controlled by the condensate to be discharged. The steam trap is particularly characterized by the provision of a seat element on which the main valve seat is formed which supports the pressure chamber on a neck member having outflow openings for the condensate.

Abstract: A switching system for interconnecting various TV sources, such as a subscription television source, a house antenna and a video recorder to a plurality of TV sets, consisting of a switch having a plurality of pushbuttons and having an input for coupling to each of said TV sets and having each of its outputs responsive to a pushbutton for connection to the video recorder, subscription television source and the house antenna. There is also a single-throw switch having its input for coupling to the input of the video recorder and each of its outputs for coupling to the subscription television source and the house antenna. The pushbutton switches are preferably three-way switches having inputs for connection to each television set and at least three pushbuttons for controlling the three signal sources. There are also signal splitters having inputs for connection to the subscription television source, the house antenna or the video recorder, and outputs connected to the outputs of the three-way switches.

Abstract: A board game apparatus is provided which is intended to facilitate communication between parents and children regarding facts and attitudes in the area of human sexuality and to provide learning experiences which will lead to improved communication between parents and their children and adults and young people. The apparatus includes a plurality of player tokens, a game board having a closed continuous path defined by a multiplicity of playing spaces, and three decks of cards, each of which contains questions concerning the field of human sexuality; the decks being distinguishable from one another according to degree of difficulty. There is also provided a fourth deck of cards which contains discussion questions for duscussing various attitudes concerning human sexuality and a score sheet for scoring one's correct answers according to category.

Abstract: A portable tackle and bait holder for demountable securement on the gunwale of a boat is provided which includes a generally box-shaped housing having a substantially flat, horizontally-disposed base wall having four sides, from three of which upwarding extend three upstanding sidewalls which serve as windshields. The base wall also has a multiplicity of depressions formed therein including at least one relatively deep well for chum or live bait and a plurality of relatively shallow recesses for hooks, lures and bait. The base wall also has formed therein a plurality of knife slits and water drainage holes as well as a cutting board mounted on the base wall. The housing is demountably secured to a gunwale of a boat.

Abstract: A doppler detector for measuring the speed and/or the direction of a moving body utilizing the principle of the doppler effect that the reflected frequency from a moving body is slightly changed has been found. The present doppler detector comprises a rectangular waveguide inserted between a microwave oscillator and an antenna, an elongated ferri-magnetic body inserted between a pair of H planes of said waveguide, and said body being magnetized in the axial direction of the same, and a pair of diodes each inserted between H planes of said waveguide so that the first diode being symmetrical with the second diode concerning the lateral plane including the center axis of said ferri-magnetic body.

Abstract: In conventional polishing machines, uneven transmission of pressure causes ifferent degrees of abrasion of the polished discs which results in different thicknesses over one disc and also with respect to other discs in one polishing batch. This problem is solved according to the invention by the provision of soft elastic inserts between the pressure piston and the back of the carrier plate on which the discs to be polished are cemented.

Abstract: A sheet supply includes a sheet supply roller disposed for contact with copy sheets housed in a cassette for feeding forward one copy sheet at a time and a guide roller which is disposed on the outer side of the sheet supply roller. The guide roller is loosely mounted on the axis of the sheet supply roller so as to be movable in the direction of its diameter and such that it rotatably contacts the copy sheets under its dead weight.

Abstract: An angle valve is provided which is mountable on the exterior of a container having a container valve disposed therein and which includes a valve housing composed of a container-side connecting member having a front face and a channel formed therein opening onto the front face for communication with the container and a loading-side connecting member disposed at an angle to the container-side connecting member, which has a channel formed therethrough and which is capable of communication with a loading line. The valve housing further includes an intermediate connecting member having a receiving chamber formed therein which establishes communication between the channels of the loading-side and the container-side connecting members, with the loading-side connecting member disposed to discharge into the receiving chamber tangentially relative to the container-side connecting member.

Abstract: A method and device for collecting a layer of concrete paving bricks forming a brick disk in the form of a stretcher bond which may be used as one setting unit, is characterized in that the layer of the paving bricks is clamped together laterally with a collecting clamp with respect to their longitudinal axes for aligning purposes and, after releasing the collecting clamps, each row of bricks is individually clamped to their respective position at their head ends with clamps. The clamps with the clamped rows of bricks are then displaced with respect to each other in a parallel direction to achieve the desired setting arrangement and the collecting clamp is again engaged.

Abstract: An alarm switch includes a hollow casing having a keyhole and a finger opening formed therein, at least one electrical switch mounted in the casing having a spring-loaded actuation pin, a reversible cam pivotably mounted in the casing for movement between a first position, in which it is held in biased engagement with the switch pin so as to maintain the pin in a retracted biased state, and a second release position, in which it is disposed in a substantially non-engaging position with said pin so as to permit extension of said pin and triggering of an alarm signal by the electrical switch, a block slidably mounted in the casing having at least one latch lug which, in a first position of the block, maintains the cam in biased engagement with the switch pin and, in a second position of the block, releases the cam to permit movement to its release position so as to thereby activate the alarm.

Abstract: A device for controlling the movements or operating cycles of models, for example, model airplanes, model ships, kites, etc., which are driven by a drive motor is provided which includes a screw spindle which is affixed at about the center of a shaft which is coupled with the motor drive shaft. An internally-threaded element, preferably a nut, is longitudinally guided on the screw spindle for actuating the operating cycle in one or the other direction. At the two protruding ends of the shaft, a spiral spring is disposed which urges a washer against the screw spindle in such a way that when the element becomes unscrewed from either end of the screw spindle, the element is retained in a free-running position, and during the reverse rotation of the motor drive shaft, the element is pushed in a counter direction whereupon it is screwed onto the screw spindle.

Abstract: A device for recovering powder, in particular from powder-spray housings, includes a filter unit mounted in a separate housing, which unit has at least one filter element mounted between the crude gas side and the pure gas side thereof. The pure gas side is coupled to an exhaust and a cleaning device is provided for the filter element for a continuous removal of the drawn-in powder. The filter element is moveable along a pure gas channel as an endless filter band fed around a drive roller and a tension roller. The band has opposed band portions which form the separation between the crude gas side and the pure gas side and which are subjected to a subsequent cleaning device.

Abstract: A process for decreasing crystal damages in the production of n-doped silicon by neutron bombardment, in which phosphorus atoms are formed from silicon by nuclear transmutation, wherein the number of desired phosphorus atoms N.sub.31.sbsb.p per cc, can be calculated by the known equationN.sub.31.sbsb.p =N.sub.30.sbsb.Si .multidot..sigma..multidot..phi..multidot.tin which N.sub.30.sbsb.Si is the number of .sup.30 Si-isotopes per cc, .sigma.=0.13 barn effective cross section, .phi. the flux density of the thermal neutrons per cm.sup.2 and t the bombardment time in seconds, the process consisting of adjusting the ratio between thermal and fast neutrons in the neutron flux acting upon the bombarded silicon work piece, so that the higher the ratio, the higher the specific resistance of the bombarded silicon, and thus, the lower the number of N.sub.31.sbsb.p and therewith the acting dose .phi..multidot.t.

Abstract: A frame support for a cardiac tissue valve is provided of the type including a hollow, substantially cylindrical body composed of a semi-flexible structure of a material such as polypropylene, covered by a medical grade fabric. The frame support defines two fully opposite ends or entrances, to the edge of which are sewed the aortic ring and the remaining portions of the resected sinuses of Valsalva including the commissural areas of the aortic wall of an animal valve, such as a porcine valve. The frame further includes an outer-widening or suture ring which defines a continuous ridge of the same fabric material. The frame has a wavy or scalloped proximal end and a distal end; the proximal end having a number of cusps corresponding to the number of commissures of the valve supported thereby.

Abstract: An improved lawn combine includes a frame having a plurality of rotatable wheels, including a pair of spaced-apart rear wheels, supporting and coupled to the frame, drive-actuated feed devices mounted on the frame for feeding materials in prescribed dosages to the lawn surface and drive means mounted on the frame for propelling at least one of the wheels of the frame and for actuating the aerator and the feed devices. The combine further includes a pair of manually-operable brake assemblies, each of which is disposed for cooperation with one of the rear wheels. Each of the brake assemblies is movable between a non-engaged and engaged position relative to the associated rear wheel, in the latter position of which it at least frictionally retards rotation of the associated rear wheel.

Abstract: A magnetic clipping device especially suitable for magnetically retaining on ferromagnetic walls sheet-like articles which may also be stitched or bound together, consists of two permanent magnet face-like elements between which the article is retained which are coupled with each other by a joint or hinge. The permanent magnet elements each consist of a relatively thin permanent magnet foil having a thickness up to 1mm which consists of a rubber- or plastic resin-based anisotropic powder like permanent magnet material. The foils are thoroughly magnetized to define relatively wide stripe-like magnet poles for generating magnetic adhering faces, and the permanent magnet foils are so disposed that opposite stripe-like pole faces face opposite one another.

Abstract: A urological endoscopic irrigation system which consists of a reverse osmosis unit adapted for connection to an available hospital supply to produce at its output an available supply of nonpyrogenic water. The water is fed through a dionization chamber and final sterile filter into a reservoir bag which is supported on a weight switch so that the bag will be filled with a predetermined amount of filtered and nonpyrogenic fluid for use by a cystoscope. A reservoir and pump may be provided in the output line of the reverse osmosis unit to provide additional fluid capacity for the cystoscope.

Abstract: A key holder is provided which includes a plurality of resilient, generally S-shaped key partitions arranged in a pack and generally disposed in spaced-apart, parallel relationship. Each of the partitions having two opposite end portions which are joined together by a sloping intermediate portion, and the end portions of adjacent partitions defining key head-receiving slots therebetween. A plurality of partition spacers are also provided, each of which is disposed solely between the intermediate portions of an adjacent pair of the partitions. The key holder also includes a pair of generally S-shaped side plates, each of which is disposed on an opposite side of the pack of partitions. Each of the side plates have two opposite end portions which are joined together by a sloping intermediate portion, which are in substantial alignment with the end and intermediate portions of the partitions.
