  • Patent number: 4915293
Abstract: A sheltered and repositionably mounted enclosure having a housing secured to and supported by a mounting post. The mounting post is positioned within a mounting sleeve. An outer ring-shaped gasket is attached to an inner wall of the mounting sleeve. An inner ring-shaped gasket is attached to a mounting post. The inner ring-shaped gasket abuts the outer ring-shaped gasket thereby forming a sealed space within the mounting sleeve and supporting the mounting post within the mounting sleeve. A retainer having a mound shape with a depression in the middle of the mound is attached to the bottom of the mounting sleeve. A mounting post bottom of the mounting post abuts the depression of the mound and thus the mounting post is supported in an approximately vertical position within the mounting sleeve. The mounting post is repositionable within the mounting sleeve and with respect to the retainer after the mounting post is displaced from the depression of the retainer.

  • Patent number: 4911324
Abstract: A plastic closure having a lower part and an upper part that fit together, the upper part being connected to the lower part by a film hinge. The upper part has, on its inner side, an extending portion with projecting sealing elements which form, with the outlet of a container, a sealing connection. The upper part is additionally connected with the lower part in a pivoting manner by a snap hinge. The snap hinge is connected with the upper part by a film hinge, and connected with the lower part by a film hinge. For purposes of opening, the film hinge connecting the upper part and the lower part is bent. The closure can be placed or screwed onto a container with its lower part. The closure can be produced in a closed condition.

  • Patent number: 4899458
Abstract: A process and apparatus for centering a pilot shaft which is inserted into a valve guide of a valve seat to be machined, and serves therein as a guide mandrel for a rotary shaping tool. By electronically controlled drive mechanisms, the pilot shaft is supported in a central position by a swiveling ball maintained in a swivelable manner between two clamping shells, and is held between two displaceable clamping plates and centered in the valve guide. To center the pilot shaft, it is moved in two crossing directions by the drive mechanisms through the horizontal displacement of the clamping shells. The clamping shells are successively moved to their two end positions of their two crossing displacement directions. The displacement path lying between these end positions is electronically measured. The drive mechanisms then move the clamping shells into the electronically determined central position of the two measured displacement ranges.

  • Patent number: 4899900
Abstract: The invention relates to a switching box with a framework support formed from framework side units. The switching box is sealed by having a bottom wall, top wall, two side walls, and the open sides of which can be closed by means of a cabinet door and a rear wall, or by means of two cabinet doors. The framework side units form a hollow profile, which have identical series of holes on the two sides that stand perpendicular to one another and are oriented toward the internal space of the box. The framework side units have a protruding sealing bar on the side which toward the external side of the box. The costs of parts and labor necessary for assembly are reduced while retaining universal construction. At least one portion of the framework side units are formed by multiple bending in a single piece with the bottom wall, the top wall and/or the side walls plates.

  • Patent number: 4896999
Abstract: A wall block set comprising frontal blocks, anchoring blocks and connecting blocks. The frontal blocks have a forward side with a texture similar to natural stone, and have dovetail projections which are integrally formed on the rear side of the frontal block. The frontal blocks having a base width are inserted in irregular alternation. Another type of front side has a hollow shape and therefore permits planting of foliage. The anchoring blocks and connecting blocks form distancing elements with dovetail projections, lying opposite to one another, with the same dimension as the projections of the frontal blocks. Through the interlacing of the frontal blocks with these anchoring and connecting blocks, double-faced dry walls of various thicknesses, as well as slope walls, which are secured on the slope by means of retainers, may be constructed.

  • Patent number: 4895254
Abstract: This invention pertains to a device for long-term supply for earth and hydrocultures. Conventionally, an especially designed sub-atmospheric pressure tank is manufactured for each plant vessel--as small or large container--that has proven to be expensive. The main problem of these water supply tanks are either an unfavorable use and arrangement of space (revolving tank), or their refill possibilities conceal under some circumstances the danger of tank leakiness. And necessary water-level indicators are lacking entirely. The industry offers no optimal planting vessels for the long-term watering of earth culture flowers, including bonsais. The invented device solves these problems through a tank, functioning according to the principle of sub-atmospheric pressure, which consists of at least two dimensionally stable partial tanks or tank parts, that are relatively movable against each other connected to each other.

  • Patent number: 4884963
Abstract: A pulse combustor having a combined mixing and ignition chamber in communication with a fuel inlet tube and an air inlet tube. The fuel inlet tube and air inlet tube inject fuel and air, respectively, forming a fuel/air mixture in the mixing and ignition chamber. • Patent number: 4883406
Abstract: The present invention provides a fan for moving air or transporting loose material. The fan comprises an inlet suction pipe that is bifurcated to form two pieces that then open out into a cone, after which there is a fan-blade wheel. This fan-blade wheel is driven by a drive shaft that passes through the cone and out in the area between the pipes. The drive shaft is driven directly by a motor or through a belt or gear-train drive system.

  • Patent number: 4882911
Abstract: The invention relates to a cooling device having an evaporator, a blower with an outlet connecting piece, a condenser, and a compressor. A condensate collecting pan is positioned below the evaporator. The collected condensate water flows from the condensate collecting pan through a discharge pipe. In order for relatively large quantities of accumulating condensate water to be removed from the cooling device, the condensate water flows from the discharge pipe into a condensate collecting pan positioned below and downstream of an outlet connecting piece of the blower which discharges a warm air current. The warm air current of the blower flows to an outlet hole through an air channel which is connected to an outlet connecting piece of the blower.

  • Patent number: 4881515
Abstract: An arrow rest for an archery bow which is quickly and easily replaceable and laterally adjustable in the field without any need for tools. The arrow rest has an arrow support arm which pivots upon movement of the arrow shaft and fletching across it and by a resilient arm hinge automatically returns to an initial predetermined position after discharge of the arrow. The arrow rest mounts on the end of an adjusting screw which extends through a hole in the handle portion of a bow. This invention provides easy lateral adjustment and complete replacement of the arrow rest in the field, without any need for tools, while maintaining the precise position and alignment of the arrow rest. This invention also provides an arrow rest that creates very little noise when an arrow shaft and fletching move across the arrow support arm.

  • Patent number: 4876752
Abstract: This invention relates to a control device for an air turbulence massage device having a housing. The housing accommodates a blower unit which can be driven by an electrical motor. The housing has a connecting piece for an air tube that is in communication with a turbulence matting. The housing accommodates a check valve device which, when the control device is shut off, prevents water from flowing back from the turbulence matting to the electrical motor and the blower unit. The housing comprises an external housing and a separate internal housing. Air flow is separated from a water discharge path leading from the internal housing such that the blower unit and the electrical motor never contact the water flowing into the housing and the water can flow out of the control device.

  • Patent number: 4876753
Abstract: This invention relates to an air turbulence massage device having a control device with a blower unit and a turbulence matting which can be placed in a bathtub. The turbulence matting can be connected with the blower unit outlet by means of an air tube. The turbulence intensity, using a preset program, can be adjusted and changed between a lower and an upper value by varying the rotational speed of the blower unit. To achieve siultaneous switching times with the turbulence process, this invention provides that the lower value is preset as a minimum pressure value which is enough to overcome a counter-pressure predetermined by a normal water level in the bathtub. The upper value is preferably preset as an adjustable maximum pressure value.
