  • Patent number: 6321692
Abstract: A fuel additive delivery system used with the fuel system of an engine. When fuel is added to a holding tank fluid pressure is reduced at a Venturi guide. The Venturi guide is connected to an additive delivery system. When the static fluid pressure in the Venturi guide falls below a level a sucking action is initiated. This action opens a normally closed valve in a meter system connected to an additive tank. When the valve opens additive flows from the additive tank into and past the Venturi guide into a fuel holding tank for the engine.

  • Patent number: 6308379
Abstract: A liquid carrying container having a first outer semicircular concave wall and a second inner concave wall facing in the same direction. Both walls are joined together at matting side edges. The outer semicircular wall is considerably longer in length than the length of the inner second wall. The overall length of the upper rim of the first wall is approximately fifty percent greater is length than the length of the upper rim of the second wall. A recess in the inner wall forms a hand hold portion. Below this hand hold portion is a handle pivotally mounted to to the inner wall. The lower handle is formed by a U-shaped rod with two end pivot joints and a center covering cylindrical portion having a rod receiving hole along its length. This bucket construction provides a recess in the bucket's inner wall that allows a user's leg to be inserted to prevent contact with bucket's wall and lessen the possibility that is liquid contents may be tipped over.

  • Patent number: 6250499
Abstract: A small portable apparatus to dispense various sized stored articles, such as tampons, from a container. The container's hollow interior mounts a rotatable flexible deformable roller which can both obstruct the movement of the contained articles against the force of gravity and, when rotated, permit their dispensing when engaged by the roller. Larger diameter articles cause more deformation of the roller's surface when compressed between the roller and the container's near adjacent side walls. Two external control knobs mounted on the same central shaft with the roller are used to manually rotate the roller into engagement with the articles.

  • Patent number: 6244177
Abstract: A multi-purpose thumb or finger mounted cot having a stamp pad with postal related indicia. Two embodiments of the cot are disclosed one of which is closed on its upper end while the other cot is opened on both ends. The postal related indicia on the self-inking stamp pad may consist of a carrier routing number and a plurality of parallel bar lines. This indicia is raised from a base pad surface with the bar lines used to endorse mail by postal carriers, to cancel stamps and wrong bar codes, wrong zip codes, and to cancel bar codes that have mistakenly not been canceled in the mailing process. The carrier routing number specifically identifies a postal carrier and can inform one of the route assigned to that carrier. By making the mating surfaces of the stamp pad (back) and cot (front) hook and loop or VELCRO fastener elements, the stamp pad can be removed and replaced with another stamp pad or have its ink supply refilled when needed. This replaced stamp pad may be that of any carrier with different indicia.

  • Patent number: 6220092
Abstract: An air flow testing device for use with a clothes dryer to indicate an obstruction in the exhaust system. Three potential states of exhausted air are monitored by the testing device when the dryer's lint screen is removed from its opening. In the first state, when the exhaust system is unobstructed, an impeller of the device freely turns within a casing held against the lint screen opening as the dryer is operating. In the second state, when the exhaust system is blocked, the same impeller remains static and does not rotate. In the third state when the exhaust system is partially blocked, the impeller moves and may stop. If either a fully or partially blocked state is detected, a user can simply clear the system including the tubing and flapper to resolve this common dryer problem without calling in a repair person.

  • Patent number: 6097669
Abstract: A method for determining Doppler shifts and reflectivity data based on wavelet based sodars. Initially, a high powered sodar pulse of sound is transmitted from an antenna into the atmosphere. This pulse of sound consists of a string of concatenated wavelets. The reflected portion of this transmitted pulse is received, amplified and digitized as a string of samples of time correspond to the range of transmission. After sampling for a short time interval to cover the maximum range of sound, the sampled time series is divided into range gates. For Doppler shifts the power spectrum of the sampled time series is calculated and a peak surrounding the frequency of the transmitted sound is observed. From this peak the direction and velocity of the atmosphere at a given attitude is derived. To accurately arrive at a better velocity resolution, replication is used with wavelet coefficients and an inverse wavelet transform.
